I love this look and want to do it on an architectural piece that already is stained. I’ve added a pine piece of wood to make it larger. Do I need to stain that additional piece in the same tone in order to achieve this look???

I have a question, if I’m not able to afford the paints and everything etc at once can I use the antiquing glaze over the top of a regular mineral paint that doesn’t have top coat in it and get the same effect since it’s also reactive to water? Also could I still use cracked patina with regular mineral/chalk paint as well to do all the wonderful finishes you do overall? I know you use cracked gesso with your milk paint but yeah just curious if they can be interchangeable with other paints that I can do thin coats with so they will react well too
