What a virtuoso performance by Yoko Ono! She definitely stole the show.
Even a musical legend like Lennon managed to stick his head up his ass big-time concerning Yoko.
Most of the audience left during Yoko's part- they probably ran- the poor Doors who were the headliners had two challenges: the first is that they had to follow a Beatle, and the second is that they had to follow Yoko- they had an impossible task and a very small crowd remaining- they weren't filmed but you can listen to the audio.
Who cares? The Doors suck. Especially compared to the Beatles. Most overrated band ever. Morrison was a stupid, spoiled man child and all around shitty guy.
The biggest John Lennon's mistake was not meeting Yoko Ono, the biggest John Lennon's mistake was giving a microphone to Yoko Ono
Circular saw sounds better 😂
He was so liked he could afford to give Yoko a mic. There was nobody bigger than Lennon.
Whats with the Yoko hate? What are you trying to say? Have you watched the Get Back doc???
Вы серьезно думаете, что это Джон дал ей микрофон?Бедный Джон! Будь он трезвым как бы все сложилось?
🌹
They had fun!! Those who were there are in their 80s or 6 ft under!! Me too soon!!
Did the future turn out like you thought?
Not necessarily that old. More like in their seventies.
Jeff Beck summed it up perfectly when he said "Ono is a weird form of cancer to be avoided at all cost " .
Gotta hand it to John..., at least he had a great back-up band with topnotch session musicians(Klaus Voorman & Alan White)..., plus the "indomitable" Eric Clapton! They managed to soar above this mishmash of a concert...,
Who needs Lennon when we've got her?
John was happy only with this kind of people, rock’n’roller, still is. I will join
Como una sola persona puede eclipsar a todos los demas del festival, eso que son los heroes de Lennon, si Lennon viviera ahora con 80 años pasaria lo mismo .
True, Daniel.
He left the Beatles for this? Rock and roll was at his heart, but heroin for sure didn't do him any favors. And Yoko Ono replacing Paul McCartney at the side of Lennon has got to be one of the most sad and unfortunate transitions to ever befall rock music.
i'd need a hit of H to sit thru long & winding road again & again. at least yoko was breaking new ground. macca was sounding like he was in his 70s before he was 30
@@edshellard145I’m sure Yoko’s amazing talent would have brought her success even without riding on John’s coat tails………………………….(just kidding)
Мне интересно, сколько же ему сейчас, когда 80 уже наступило? Джон убил Битлз, а мадам ему в этом помогла. Очень печально.@@edshellard145
Peace ✌️ to ono ❤John Lennon 😊 peace ✌️🕊️✌️🕊️✌️🕊️✌️🕊️✌️🕊️✌️🕊️✌️🕊️✌️🕊️✌️ thanks 👍.
Thank you for your post! It reminded me of the time when I first watched this video as a young person, after buying it on VHS.
Een geweldig Concert !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RIP, Alan White.
on the album, durring the r&r songs and "yer blues" you can't hear yoko's screeching and screaming. thank god.
So much more than John Lennon!! Chuck Berry , Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis just to mention a few!!!!! To do JUSTICE!!
Lennon really believes in peace love and rock n' roll...
BUT MOST OF ALL MONEY !
Yes, he did, but then Yoko's voice sounded like bombs falling....
Yoko did, John just vibed with her ideas.
and unfortunately he believed in Yoko…
Yeah, the Beatles were all about “peace and love”….and a billion dollars each.
Great that Eric Capton was his lead guitarist for this concert
Mini super group
Shame it wasn't a good concert at all
I was likely in life l don't know growing up in To,l was 16 my two best friends where 17 and they convinced my dad we'd be safe and so off we went the next day at 6:00am and the rest is history ,So Lucky to so Lenon and Paul 3 times over the years Sir Paul has relatives in Mississauga? so he's always around if in To,So. Lucky! Toronto 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗🤩🤩
That's good really good ono and wonderful lemon John.
He was highly addicted to heroin here, stating he was throwing up a lot beforehand and nearly did all throughout Cold Turkey. I imagine he was going through withdrawals. But what a great performance!
Not withdrawals.. he'd been snorting it all day.
@@stitchgrimly6167 Correct, he was high as a kite
@@stitchgrimly6167 Yeah, he was snorting something else. I was talking specifically about H.
@@MarkGelderland On coke. Much different.
@@theworldneedswinners91 No, he was snorting heroin all day.
He's John fucking Lennon and if he says his wife is gonna scream for 1/3 of the show you're still gonna do it - even if your name is Eric Clapton!
John cashes in on his popularity and spends it on the most valuable thing money can't buy - love.
Classic Lennon. Epic.
.. refreshing to not hear complaints, yeah i'd see him live despite his spouse, with respect 😊🎸
@@olikane530he was actually planning a world tour with his Double Fantasy band, Yoko included, before that nutter killed him. Such a sad, senseless act.
Thanks for uploading this it needs to be cleaned up. I have this album on vinyl
Vinyl is always the best
The rhythm and chords to this version Cold Turkey 3:10 sound like... ready for this? Venus (She's Got It) This was recorded live prior to the studio version being recorded. It's awesome seeing Lennon debut a work in progress live on stage. (Yoko is holding up the lyrics for him.) That must have been a joy for him to experience! Seriously, when was the last time John felt that thrill, 1960 in Hamburg?
Funky version :)
No. Hopefully it was with The Beatles 1963 thru 1969.
Rooftop concert 1969
A legendary jam session with Lennon/Clapton and a open nerv on stage. HOW COULD HE GOT MAR... TO her.?????
Don't mock what you all created!!!
No, wrong, God created it/her......are you mocking God????!
Damn Johns teeth went through it. You can see all the fillings he has during alot of the close ups.
The best live in 1969 ..❤❤❤ peace festival
Raridade!!! Lennon 4ever.
John Lennon tava branco de tanta loucura. Tá a cara do Antônio Concelheiro. Adoro assistir esse show em tardes quentes com uma cervejinha gelada 🍁🍁💨kkkkkk😎🤘33:05
