    1680 watts of Exo solar panels (6 x 200w) and (3 x 160w) Thats up to 140a of charge from the sun.
    1020 ah/h (12.2kwh)of Custom made PowerPaul lithium batteries. (3 x Mercury)
    Redarc 3000 w inverter running on ALL THE FACTORY FITTED outlets, including the Microwave, Air Conditioning, Washing machine, Hairdryer, toaster, kettle, air fryer and more
    Redarc 50a dc to dc charger for FAST vehicle replenishment.
    3 x Victron smart solar charge controllers (2 x 50/100) and (1 x 30/100)
    Simarine battery monitoring system with an extra 4 x 50a shunts to measure each solar controller and the main 12v circuit.
    This fully customized off grid setup allows this Lotus OffGrid to have virtually unlimited power when free camping. The massive battery bank and huge amount of solar will fast charge the system at warp speed. This is only achievable with the way we design and wire the system specifically suited to this caravan.
    Run the Air conditioner all day long while heating up some food in the microwave or running an induction cooker.
    The Vehicle here can also pump in 50a (600w) on top of the solar input. That's a potential of over 220a.... This is FAST charging right here.
    We are extremely happy with how this upgrade has turned out.
    All done on site at the customers convenience.

    Don't forget if the pins are not adjusted correctly on a 12 pin plug that creates resistance then the heat problem's also make sure the wire hasn't been cut on an angle to fit in the plug a brass adapter as what comes with a jayco should be used this goes for all 12 pin plugs

    Awesome, right up until the Simarine. I had endless issues with that junk, battery SOC discrepancies, tank level inaccuracies, app keeps crashing and the lack of interfacing with hardware (ie: water pumps, lights etc) and yes, SeaZone is better but price it up... Enerdrive really are lacking in their user interfaces.

      @@extremeacc101 I’ve got it with 5x170 solar panels and a redvision system. The issues is they are using a bdcd50 just for the solar as the redvision bms is only 30amp charging but by doing this I don’t get a readout of how much solar input we are actually getting. If i might even sell the bdcd and get a Victron solar charger that way I can use my phone to get a read out.

      Mate, instantly I would pull all of that solar out of the manager.
      Rewire your solar into better voltage strings and run them into a couple of Victron solar controllers.
      Networked together.
      Then use the old manager solar input for portable.
      Wire the Victron negative to the external Redarc shunt so it monitors the new solar setup.

      @@extremeacc101 they have added the bdcd50 for the solar but that should only be good for 600 watts? So thinking of putting in 2 Victrons. I might have to swing by when I’m coming thru SA.

    Could've done without the Simarine, proven by the fact you have the Victron app open... a Victron SmartShunt would've covered it all and communication between the Victron gear enables VRM Portal data logging.

    I love your setups. With all the laws changing regarding lithium batteries inside vans being sealed off inside, with ventilation directed out. I understand this November, so the sealing of is not required until November? can you bring batteries in boxes outside back into the inside as I noticed you had done this on this van. Especially as I'm getting rid of AGMS and moving to off grid setup using Powerpauls. Great work.

    • @extremeacc101
      @extremeacc101  Год назад

      Yes, some changes will be happening.
      Basically the battery enclosure cannot be part of the habitable area, vented to external and accessible to external only.
      Max 4 terminals on any battery post too.

    Very neat work. The Simarine figures didn't add up. You need separate shunts on battery final neg and inverter to get correct totals.

    • @extremeacc101
      @extremeacc101  2 года назад

      That is correct the shunt is there. very hard to see the programming came after the video.

    • @extremeacc101
      @extremeacc101  2 года назад

      The 4 x 50a SCQ unit is running the 3 x solar controllers and 1 x master 12 volt circuits.
      The SC303 shunt has the inverter and master earth.
      Simarine has the option to not add the 4X 50a circuits to the battery.
      This means those numbers will not be displayed on top of the shunts reading value which would explain the double up you see.
      Turning those values to off will resolve this issue.

    great video to confirm a compressor fridge is preferable to run on 12 batt not 240 inverter when off grid ? I had my charger wired to a separate 240 volt circuit on a c/o switch but didnt think about the fridge the two GPOs are close together so i can easily run the fridge 240 from the same charger GPO if needed. Cheers Dean.

    • @extremeacc101
      @extremeacc101  Год назад

      Of course at the end of the day the compressor is 12 V anyway. Why go from low-voltage to high-voltage to only go back down to low-voltage again. That would be very inefficient stick with DC. 👍

    Another quality off grid job. Was wondering: having the 3 batteries, why did you have positive cables off the two end batteries for the inverter? Is there a reason for that? Thanks.

    • @extremeacc101
      @extremeacc101  2 года назад +4

      Great question.
      Upon discharge testing the inverter under full load the best even amount of discharge between all 3 batteries came from this method. Originally we had all pos on the end battery and all neg on the first. This resulted in a small uneven discharge under the same test conditions of the middle battery. Cable length to the redarc inverter is 100mm longer on the positive feed. Maybe this was why?
      The balance is now so even the DALYbms showed an even 83a per battery. Very very happy with that.

    ? do you run a cooling fan for the system it has to produce fair bit of heat. I'm running 6 panels just under 1000w with a 560ah battery and a 3000w inverter the fan runs a fair bit.

      There is a Simarine temperature sensor at the highest point in this cavity right between the vents so this will shut down the solar input under a high temperature alarm. Very useful the Simarine units are.
