But, a 370z turbo with 550whp is going to leave me at a dig because all of its boost will be available at 3,500 RPMs; whereas, I am not wide open until I hit 5,500 RPMS and climbing. For that reason, a turbo car should always insist on running from a dig. Once we are already in fourth gear, my disadvantages with creating boost in a supercharger disappear. While you are correct that power under the curve is key, a turbo should also make more under the curve at the lower RMPs. I make boost instantly but it's very low boost, not the punch a turbo produces (especially smaller dual turbos that go into boost at 2,500 RPMs).

People should take this an educational video, especially if their going a boosted route for the Z. Supercharger gives you that instinct tq power but no so much high end. Turbo lags but does send the car flying once it spools. You can brake boost at the cost of your own brakes for an faster take off but that’s on you. IMO I don’t like the extra work, rather go an supercharger route too.
U need that underdrive pulley to push u thru the rpms faster! If I'm not mistaken the VQ crank is balanced behind the faceplate I never had any problems with mine and I had it on there for 2 years. Great runs tho
The soho a2a kit is a beast. But the only thing that i don't like is that massive air suction sound it makes. If there was a way to eliminate that then I would probably do it over a turbo kit, because I like that fact that you can keep the factory exhaust note.
As soon as I seen the soho turbo kit I know you were going to win, GTM had a lot of issues which is why they went out of business, only good kits left are fast intensions and Boosted Performance.

Goes to show a well tuned A2A SC will run hard enough to have some fun, this is my goal right here but on my daily Q50 VQ37. I want no boost lag and usable power band for the twisties where I like to play more than often, not a fan of straight line...if I was I could easily and cheaply build a Honda EG with a Boosted Built K20.
Lol that was hella embarrassing. Almost lost to an NA. The 7.5 seen was when the throttle shut and there was a spike in boost. From 4-6000 was 3-4psi || 6-7400 was 4-5 The boost issue fixed. The boost sensor was loose on charge pipe, now it's welded on. There were also two couplers on the passenger side that was loose. Traction again 404 😑
I love your Z and the channel but that guy needs a driver mod bad, break boost and leave on 3 lol. if youve ever drove a turbo car and dont break boost in a race youre gonna lose unless you make way more power than them
Yoooo. I know yours is supercharged already but you should add a turbo for when the supercharger boost let’s off so you got power to plow thru. Because the supercharger got you on low end and off the line and the turbo just finish em off lmao
