Looking at the Thumbnail I thought there was a slot for inserting a coin like in these old arcade games. Thought "yeah, good idea to limit your time playing around with Euroroack". 😀
That case is cool. Interesting that it has space on the back for modules. At first, it seemed weird, but then I thought that could actually be really cool if you where collaborating with someone. Where they could put in or take out from your system. If you were facing each other for instance.
I think that case is really cool. I like the idea of bonus space. Like you said. It's bonus space, so not always available or practical, but, when it is, it's well, a bonus. 🤔
NerdSeq on the front + utility, NerdSeq expanders on the back that lead out to a big primary rack filled with the usual oscillators, filters etc. What a great idea!
Really cool ideas on this, on my first DIY case I featured a back panel that was velcroed and it was very nice to connect modules to power. To avoid clashing on the aged cables it would just need an extra centimeter after the angle, also on top of the 1U at the very bottom so you can fit deeper modules? It's a very interesting experiment, I'd love to see videos about uncommon builds, for cases, build the DVORAK keyboard of modular cases!
Love the layout of the case. My first thought when looking at a lot of modular stuff is that I'd want it at an angle so I don't have to crane my neck to lean over it. It's a great format.
Nice design maybe some multiple jacks or 1u modules facing the sky on top. I could see it being two smaller setups and you turn it at your desk to access the second setup. Maybe a cube version on a turntable could be fun with the audio routed through the center somehow.
awesome idea, geat use of space, now you can work for ikea like teenage engineering ^^ i would definitly ad a 1u quantizer somewhere to pair with he DFAM, great job Bo
Looks cool. I'd put the power on the back and the mult on the front. I'd be tempted to make a 1U patch panel that connects cables through the unit to the back.
My 3D printed case has bonus space too, but it’s 4HP modules mounted sideways. That’s where I keep my power module right now. I find it quite useful! I think the bonus space on the back of your case would be a tad more useful if it was slanted in the other direction. I’d just keep a more limited setup there to use on its own when I don’t feel like making a complex patch with lots of modules!
Never thaught of getting modular. But Im in love with the mother 32. So this case is a reason to reconsider. What an awesome Design. Reminds me of the MS 20 a bit. Definitly looks Techno ;D
Looks like the challenge is not filling this up completely. If you do not fill it up completely, having the ability to move the power and 1u around as needed is a really cool idea. Would come in handy to move things around as needed if you are putting the case on a keyboard rack, up against the wall, etc.
A very unique case, definitely not wasting any realestate. Seems like a cool use of the bonus modules could be having some manner of knobby offset module on the top 1U and setting up macros for the rear modules to bring select functionality within fingers reach.
I would be ok with making it a cm or two taller and a cm or two deeper to allow for more room for 1 u modules. You could also use to those 3u to 1u adapters to stick a 4u module in the front or top. Also change the angle between the two 3u rows so the top/back row faces up a little more because are you not looking down at it a bit and maybe it would be better to have the top/back angled toward your face a little more and maybe that would resolve any bumping patch cables. It's a great idea. You could bolt a battery pack to the back and be cordless.
I am dying not because of your over use of the word, but of your inclusion of the phrase: reach around, and tweek. LMAO. @redmeansrecording knows i'm talking about! PHRAZING!
I think perhaps the middle 1U row would be better if set at an intermediate tilt angle between that of the the two main 3U sections. Also, perhaps extending the side panels on the rear, to offer some protection to knobs on rear mounted units, if the rack is ever placed on it's back, or pushed back into a wall.
I love it. I'm planning on getting a 60hp moog case that I will mount above it below my DFAM with the moog bracket things and I'm going to put a kick snare and hats and some other percussive modules in and if will be my drum machine. Pretty excited about it. That one kind of reminds me of it. Unfortunately I don't have the latest income in the world right now, so it's kind of slow going. Which sucks, but what can you do? Maybe I should have studied something a little more proactive then music? But then I might not have a need for the money because I might but have gotten into eurorack. Is a catch 22.
This is so cool, I may get one later.... hey, wouldn't it be necesary a cooling fan? (I would maybe put one side the exrtactor with an easy access filter, and on another the exhaust.
Hi! I would like to buy from your boutique but ... I cannot choose Canada in the Country section ... :-/ Is there a way I can go around? Great content! (Excuse my bad english)
This is a really nice project. I like how it came out! The negatives you mentioned are just fine, I wouldn’t mind those at all. Making compromises is a common thing it the Eurorack world! Also the jam was a nice BONUS!
yo, my life has been a lie... If the DFAM is really only 1inch deep, why is its original module literally 5inch deep? No wonder Behringer makes the best Moog and Roland products.

Haha! That would be something wouldnt it?!
@@BoBeats Great way to save up for the next module :)
Elektron should probably implement this too. I keep going in on a beat then suddenly realising it's 3am hahaha
Love it. I would probably have the same stuff in it. DFAM + modulation and effects. Just the shape of the case is inspiring.
That case is cool. Interesting that it has space on the back for modules. At first, it seemed weird, but then I thought that could actually be really cool if you where collaborating with someone. Where they could put in or take out from your system. If you were facing each other for instance.
Thanks Bo, hope to see you deliver more videos on this case in the future 😁
and the sounds you created is also amazing...man I love this modular set up.
Your jam with the maschine+ fills me with joy :3 So fun!
this case would be perfect for 2 friends to play one on each side! awesome job
I love the idea, the space on the back makes me want the case mirrored so you can play with a friend!
Great idea!
Flippin' heck, great DFAM action
Ha ha ha! The dance moves... ;-) Good idea with the BONUS rackspace! Nicely done.
Wow, beautiful!!
Your dancing makes me feel better about being a middle aged dad with an audio production habit hahaha. Much Love 😀
Cool case and loving the beat you made with it. 👍🏻
I think that case is really cool. I like the idea of bonus space. Like you said. It's bonus space, so not always available or practical, but, when it is, it's well, a bonus. 🤔
Nice case great idea and cool tracks thanks Bo.

This is soooo cute!!! And also powerful. I love your design. I wish in the future I could have one like this.
what a cool rack and stunning crazy sounds! Thanks Bo! ✌️😁🎹🎶
Finally a video on your new rack!
Wow! That's really next level! Love it 👍
Really cool ideas on this, on my first DIY case I featured a back panel that was velcroed and it was very nice to connect modules to power.

Really great functional case. Great video as always. 😁
Love the layout of the case. My first thought when looking at a lot of modular stuff is that I'd want it at an angle so I don't have to crane my neck to lean over it. It's a great format.
It’s looks so freaking good. Very retro vibes
Goed gedaan Arjan
Excellent video, cool rack idea and that drum module sounds great.
Don’t think any of that was the drum euro module, tho’ … ?
@@kierenmoore3236 Moog Dfam
@@cresshead Ah, yeah - thought you meant the BD9 … 👍🏼. The DFAM can sound pretty great! 😎
When I make that beat on Maschine the kick is from the bd module. Rest is DFAM
Fun idea, no doubt. Honestly love the idea of being able to access the power cables from the rear panel.
Unintentional but really useful!
Wow, it’s a good idea to have 3D rack!
Thanks, Bo!
absolutely love that set up.. makes me want to sell all my synths and get one
Very very cool design!
Love the slow motion dancing.
Sounds awesome! I´m really on the fence for a DFAM...
I just put my first modular system together at 32HP half is audio and half is video modules.
That looks great ! To make it perfect all I need is a lottery win ! As ever .
Nice design maybe some multiple jacks or 1u modules facing the sky on top. I could see it being two smaller setups and you turn it at your desk to access the second setup. Maybe a cube version on a turntable could be fun with the audio routed through the center somehow.
I think Arjan is working on a cube

Very creative indeed! Tx
Beautifull oak case and a lot of "bonus"... :-)
Your Bass Station II video sold me and I'm loving it! Sorry, off topic, but thanks!
Hope you have fun with it
Looks cool. I'd put the power on the back and the mult on the front.
I'd be tempted to make a 1U patch panel that connects cables through the unit to the back.
Yeah Ive had multiple people tell me about how cool it would be with connections front to back
My 3D printed case has bonus space too, but it’s 4HP modules mounted sideways. That’s where I keep my power module right now. I find it quite useful! Super cool, brilliant design to have so many usable faces! But wait, where's our BONUS vid? ;)
This case should clearly be called the 2manysynths / bo beats BONUS
Never thaught of getting modular. But Im in love with the mother 32.

it's the slo mo Dad dancing for me
Case is cool. But modules on the back would be too messy for me with loads of cables.
A very unique case, definitely not wasting any realestate. Seems like a cool use of the bonus modules could be having some manner of knobby offset module on the top 1U and setting up macros for the rear modules to bring select functionality within fingers reach.
I was designing something similar to this to sit above my MS20 mini. 👍
so cool!!

Yepp! Totally doable changes. For me I wanted it to feel as slim as possible. Which comes with drawbacks
Nice design and it looks like it would be great to hold the forthcoming TipTop Buchla 200 modules!
I am dying not because of your over use of the word, but of your inclusion of the phrase: reach around, and tweek. LMAO. @redmeansrecording knows i'm talking about! PHRAZING!
i seriously can't stop laughing, thank you Bo!
dirty boi!!! 😅
Love the case. I would use the back for power, inputs, outputs and simple mixer.
good idea!

Hi if you mean the eurorack boutique it is not my store
@@BoBeats Hi! I mean : ruclips.net/user/BoBeatsMusicstore ... sorry for the confusion
The rear rack would be awesome for Expert Sleepers.

thanks Ihor! Super happy with the case
Surely an output module on the back would be obvious! Also a poly end anywhere power
Yepp! Totally good ideas. I dont have an output module outside of my large befaco system but really contemplating it
Any issues with temperature as you fill every nook and cranny with modules and ribbon cables?
Not noticed anything but you could always leave a hole in the back
@@BoBeats thank you. Keep up the great work!
The bonus space is lit, but the grimey drum and bass coming out of it?
Also lit, good stuff Bo
I can't find the link of the bonus video.
Looks good.....
I would route all the inputs and outputs at the back
Much Bo. Much nus.
Content warning: this video contains 18 bonuses, 2 DivKid reach-arounds, and one ‘Wrinkler’ …
Next you’ll want some modules on the sides
I know a lot of people who are gonna make a new hole in front on their DIY rack ^^
