Hello ! Thanks to your video we were able to see this well yesterday. We uncovered the steps leading down, they'd been overgrown heavily with grass, moss and weeds. Someone had killed some of the overgrowth around the well since your video was taken. It's a shame this isn't sign posted and kept up to a higher standard. Thanks again for your video !

Thanks for your comment! I must have stood on the steps myself, but I didn't realise they were steps. Did you see the inscription in the top slab?
@@OSM4HistoryBuffs we didn’t disturb the top slab too much, a lot of bugs living there. steps much more visible now though!
