It's ridiculous that they ported the collection over to a much more powerful system, and yet, they took one of the most attractive features it offered.
i think they'll add it , it was on the backlog on halo waypoint and now that the halo 4 is released , the collection is complete and enough people demanded splitsreen on pc , btw people were mad when 343 removed splitscreen from halo 5 so there's no reason they don't add it , its just a matter of time now
I hope so. The reason companies take out split screen today is because they milk the customers to buy another copy. With the new game systems of PS5 and Xbox X, they can easily do split screen. We'll see.

i had to close steam to get the controllers to work. remember closing steam is by clicking the arrow ow the task bar and right clicking and exit steam it is not just hitting the x like a normal program

@@Tridag999 i resolved, when you are in the Nucleus settings set LAN then, when you are in mcc go in settings with Player 1 and player 2 go into network and set LAN after all this with player 1 you're able to enter in player 2 room
could you do a performance benchmarks comparison between single player and split screen? i'm curious to see what the performance hit is of running 2 instances of halo, or if its not to bad cause each instance is only running at half resolution. im also curious to see what it effects most, cpu, gpu, or ram... that would be great if you could do another vid on that :)

having issues with the sign in. The split account goes to player one/two and I cant attach a Microsoft account with it. When I launch the game as 1 person, that's when my Microsoft account appears

This doesn't work... when I press play it doesn't ask me to login... it auto-logs me as Goldberg on both partitions ...and I see no way of actually logging into xbox once the game is already running
make sure in Nucleus Coop it says P1 and P2 and not P1 AND P1. try configuring both controllers in DS4 as Player 1 and Player 2. If that don't work try using mouse and keyboard as P1 and Controller as P2...Also try with cables attached.
how are you able to sign in with new accounts and for both? edit: i was able to sign in with 2 different accounts but challenges are disabled, the first account can invite but not join and the second account cant join or invite. if i try to it also says my anti-cheat is disabled unlike running the game normally. the new nucleuscoop has also these options on the second page when you click the top right arrow to access the play button, it can choose between online or lan, different or same players, some random reroute xinput controller option, and even an option to unlock all items. why? the old program seems better just doing what it should and only such without all the gimmicks, you were able to join without disabling anti-cheat.
I have two monitors I want to play on my main and my friend on the second but we want to use parsec, when we do this is got massive lags when we use two monitors, when we play splittscreen on one monitor it works fine, why ?
I think this has to do with Parsec. It's streaming two either 720p or 1080p instances at once on each individual monitor, which causes the lag. Verses the split screen which is half of the resolution per player on one monitor, causing less lag. If I'm wrong, try turning off certain programs that are taking up RAM. Jot your specs down here so I can see if it's a hardware problem.

I am trying this method on 3/11/2022 and I am not sure this works now or if I am doing something wrong. First, Nucleus "scripts" in Nucleus is replaced by "handler" just an fyi. Second, after it is downloaded, I cannot find, through the Nucleus App, the MCC shipping file that I need, but if I search my files and folders, I can see it. It's as if Microsoft has hidden the file from Nucleus. If I copy the file and place it in Nucleus, Nucleus still cannot see it there. So, I am blocked trying it this method. Like I said, maybe I am doing something wrong. I would appreciate any help from anyone on this, thank you.

Hi there, unfortunately there isn't really anyway to save these. We have to wait until 343 makes a dedicated official split screen mode for Halo MCC on PC.
You can't save on Coop mode, even on original halos, but in halo reach, 3, 3 odst and 4 you can start from some premade checkpoints on the mission selector

I dont know if they just changed something but everytime on of the instances diconects the other from live service. One time it worked but my xbox controller wasnt responding... What I did is used one xbox 360 controller for player 1 and the 360ce program with a PS4 madcatz SFV fightpro controller for player 2... so I could choose keyb+mouse for player 2. needs 2 controllers just to create two instances fo the game.

You can select lan mode on nucleus, then in MCC, in both players go to settings > red and switch it to lan mode, then press X / Square on Player 2 and join to player 1
Mine is not working at all. The system Freeze for some seconds and then error the nuclear has crashed when a press the Play with mouse keyboard and Xbox console
I believe you need to enable administrative privileges by right clicking on Nucleas, Properties, then the Compatibility tab, at the bottom click on Enable Administrative etc. on it.

I don't even know if they'll even give us a proper splitscreen mode. The script makers already made it, but yet they're taking forever to do one. It's not hard at all.
@@AllanBaguinon 343i put splitscreen in the current backlog as for community's request. There are many challenges to make this a real feature. It's easier with normal gamepads controllers than with other devices. KB+M Splitscreen is not as easy to implement as people believe, especially with raw input and coupling of hardware IDs, a new UI for splitscreeen would be required as well. Like for selecting which input devices are for player 1 or 2 or more... And let's not even begin with splitscreen specific graphics options
@@MrMercuryW I see. Well, I'm running split screen on one screen, or most of the time I run two instances on both of my monitors. I don't get any graphical issues at all, neithet any lag. I think it just comes down to the mouse and keyboard and menu selection. Honestly, if they can do it on the old Xbox, what trouble can it be on PC?

They have to implement an equivalent to all the tools you use *_ingame._* Probably they'll need MS to help them since maybe no other games can login 2 xbox live accounts to a single instance of MCC. And of course, multiple sound outputs and even multimonitor support. So while not a technical impossibility it is still an undertaking that may require them far more than reenabling console features.
Lmao Halo MCC already barely runs at 60 fps on my little box I got from work that isn't even a gaming box, so I guess this is out of the question for me

No. The game pass version won't have the local files for MCC installed on your computer, so there's nowhere for the Nucleus mod to be installed.
You can only do this one time, because the next your pc explodes

Why do I always get “(Not Responding)” after I press play. It then crashes and I have to restart again.
I believe you need to enable administrative privileges by right clicking on Nucleas, Properties, then the Compatibility tab, at the bottom click on Enable Administrative etc. on it.
i heard the menu music and since i use the halo mcc music pack i heard that as csgo music
Excuse me, when I open Halo MCC on nucleus it automatically signs me in as player 1 and player 2, and when I click on change account the game comes to a freeze. Any known fix for this?

It is too bad this doesn't have KB+M Splitscreen for all players. I hope 343 don't do the same and exclude KB+M players.
I don't even know if they'll even give us a proper splitscreen mode. The script makers already made it, but yet they're taking forever to do one. It's not hard at all.

There are many challenges to make this a real feature. It's easier with normal gamepads controllers than with other devices. KB+M Splitscreen is not as easy to implement as people believe, especially with raw input and coupling of hardware IDs, a new UI for splitscreeen would be required as well.
Like for selecting which input devices are for player 1 or 2 or more...
And let's not even begin with splitscreen specific graphics options
@@MrMercuryW I see. Well, I'm running split screen on one screen, or most of the time I run two instances on both of my monitors. I don't get any graphical issues at all, neithet any lag. I think it just comes down to the mouse and keyboard and menu selection. Honestly, if they can do it on the old Xbox, what trouble can it be on PC?
@@AllanBaguinon Mostly resources and new assets. They have to implement an equivalent to all the tools you use *_ingame._*
Probably they'll need MS to help them since maybe no other games can login 2 xbox live accounts to a single instance of MCC.
And of course, multiple sound outputs and even multimonitor support. So while not a technical impossibility it is still an undertaking that may require them far more than reenabling console features.
Can we play with a guest player on the second screen or Steam ID is
