I baked this in the oven at 325° for 35 minutes then I cranked it up to 450° for the final 6-8 minutes to get a good crust and it turned out great!!! Cooked to absolute perfection. I didn't even need BBQ sauce! It was that tasty. I can't wait to cook another!!
i cant put into words how happy i am to see this again the memories i have as a kid of 7 years i cant imagine getting this again at its price i can agree its worth at least $50 at most, if it where so i cant seem to find a good primus for a good price and in good condition
Me: "Yeah, I think I might want this. I missed it the first time, and this color scheme looks really solid... and who WOULDN'T want a transformer of the planet of the transformers that transforms?" Baltmatrix: "It's also $150 dollars." Me: "NOPE!"
Every piece of clear blue plastic is pure energy. The orange is molten metal like the core that’s why it’s at the center. The black is a realistic approach to the metal colors. The dark theme is really how he’s looking after eons of war. The yellow the parts of the planet place that are inhabited in someway. If you imagine the orange pouring like molten metal it’s works wonderfully
well based on the show, it'd be a very long earthquake and pray the establishment was not on any of the parts that moved. safest thing to do is vacate to Cybertron's airspace to mitigate chance
seriously, what is up with the cyber-glyphs? it's like labeling a planet such as our earth with huge letters like 'PLANET EARTH' or even better 'COCA-COLA' & each alphabet might be the size of an entire nation, its also obviously super inaccurate as the Bayverse version of Cybertron looks like a giant honeycomb.
+Thedriftyisaac I think Generations Trypticon looks better in "Nemesis" mode, myself. Scorponok is traditionally the only City/Planet Bot with three decent modes.
Skull thunder bad!? Its primus! A third-party can make a tlk cybertron cybertron but cybertron primus is awesome, and these colors are bright and delicious, tj omega has this figure on top transformers list
Last time they used a Unicron Trilogy figure for a Movie line was over a decade ago since half of the first Movie toyline were mostly Unicron Trilogy repaints, some that was meant to be in the Universe line but alas they weren't. Very nice to see that they brought that back using the Transformers Cybertron Primus toy.
I have the original, and I actually like it for one reason, it is an official Primus toy, and this recolor ain't half bad looking ..but the price ..what the heck is Hasbro thinking? Thankfully the 3p companies have blessedly stayed away from Unicron and Primus.Thankyou for the upload and great review as always.
Quick question: With the black light gimmicks in other TLK toys, can you comment on if the clear blue on Cybertron glows or at least looks neat under a black light? I love this mold and watching this video kinda makes me miss my Primus, but $150 is too much. Do old Primus figures even sell for that much on the used market?
The planet mode looks like cybertron in beast machines and I have no idea here they got the idea for the robot mode color scheme from. If you already have one of the other uses of this mold, your collection does not need this figure.
No in the IDW comics Primus is straight gold, unless you're referring to a more recent story I haven't read yet. I only remember the Guiding Hand stuff.
aw man, part of me is happy that Hasbro actually still uses a bunch of old molds from time to time (Cybertron was my favorite TF series), but at the same time feels a bit disappointing knowing that they're being sold for more than the original price... makes me wonder how much other older molds would be going for (Like if they brought back Vector Prime for POTP hmmm)
Balt you are going to break the mechanisms sliding things back without using the omega lock like the planet pieces with the guns in and also you forgot to pull the hands outs, the hands do pull out of the arms a bit so they sit properly.
+Thang Tran That's what I use for his 'Worldship' mode. Which is basically his 'defense' mode here, with his heels flipped out and the planet pieces on his legs rotated around to face upwards at an angle (basically, I have them rotated to make the 'front' of the ship a little more ship-like).
*GIGATRON* was actually called *GIANT PLANET*. And his defense mode looks like a space ship. So he can flee to defend himself :) AND I really dig the colorscheme, too ;)
found one ealier today at a thrift store for 2 dollars. he didnt come with any accessories and the back panel is missing but for a figure that averages over 100 dollars on ebay, it is insane.
That's a standard price for Toys r Us and other toys nowadays. I remember seeing super sentai toys overly priced in Hong Kong Toys r Us and when I asked about the price they just refered me to customer service.
I bought this figure at Toys R Us today, and it was discounted at $120. I saved $30. I've been wanting Primus for over 10 years now, and I FINALLY own it! :D I think it was worth it because I highly doubt that you'll be able to get this figure in stores again, unless you're willing to fork over a lot of money for it online.
I missed out on the original Primus figure from the mid-2000's but only because I wasn't a TF fan at the time. If this Primus ends up being sold at reduced prices in a year or two, I might consider buying him.
I actually found a way to activate Unicron’s chest gimmick and everything with the minicon. Just unfold a paperclip and stick the pointy end into the Minicon port that is on Unicron’s back
This reminds me of the Transformers: Crossovers Darth Vader/Death Star figure. I got it for Christmas and could never get it to transform back into Death Star mode; I'd like to see you try and tackle that figure sometime.
LOOOOOOOL I got my original Cybertron version for $50 up in Evanston, WY. And he was a special edish with 5 minicons! What a crap price! Love this figure though; he's still got the original sounds! #nostalgia
You say this mold was originally $60-70, but I remember it was $40 (with the unicron head) everywhere I saw it. Now it is $150. That is not natural inflation.
You dont put the omega lock in the bottom ports of planet mode to flip out the guns. You have to use the planet key to do it like you did in the video.
I've always taken those big guns at the top, flipped them around, and bent them to face the same direction as the guns on the hands, but that's just me. It makes a bit more sense to me that way.
2:49 i did something with my original primus and I put titan masters on primus to make a base mode for them. It looked good. And you also forgot to pull the fist out.
Thanks for reviewing this figure (and as one of the few who have so far). I was wondering about him myself too as I just noticed him at my local TRU as well. I do like him, but no way would I pay $150 for him. (I would prefer Unicron over him anyway). If I had an extra $150 to drop on a Transformer it would be like MP-10, UW Computron, or Trypticon... not this bot.

Hasbro: Lets make a g2 repaint of primus! The fandom will love it!
Fandom: Wtf? Why hasbro
Jetfire48 I, for one, welcome this color scheme. I mean, I already love G2...
Leni Likes Everything Same here. The price however....
Shattered Glass Unicron When I saw it at ToyRUs, I was pretty turned off by the $150 price tag. How much did this toy go for back in the day?
Leni Likes Everything Somewhere around 50-60. Back then the only TF I've seen that went anywhere near $100 was this huge ROTF Devastator.
Shattered Glass Unicron i know i havent seen it fase to fase but jesus its like a masterpeas transformer
i cant put into words how happy i am to see this again

I just realised that the Cybertron mode looks like the weapon that Gogo uses in Kill Bill.
Really cool that they re released this figure, though it looks so different that it doesn't fit in with the other bayformer freaks.
Rugalheid Bernstein it would have been so cool if it was a remold with the face and some details.
Rugalheid Bernstein well they have been using the cybertron figures since RotF
Are you sure its black & blue? Some people may see it as white & gold
Hanif Pandu colour blind? I see black blue and gold
I got that joke. Quite an obscure reference if I do say so.
Sean Bateman Obscure?, everyone knew of that, and it was barley 2 years ago
Hanif Pandu Please do not bring up that stupid dress from a few years back.
Hanif Pandu i think it's purple or gray
Tbh this thing looks amazing in inverted colors. I know it's a random thing to say but just check it out.
You slightly mistransformed it. You forgot to pull out his hands in robot mode.
If your dog eats the key:
"What's inside uploaded a new video: What's inside CYBERTRON?"
Looks like they forgot to paint one of your mini con towers black.
Would love to own this guy, especially having never picked up Primus before, looks great in person...but my God that price is ridiculous.
This figure REALLY gives off a Euro G1/ G2 vibe with the vibrant neon colors.
The planet mode looks like cybertron in beast machines and I have no idea here they got the idea for the robot mode color scheme from. If you already have one of the other uses of this mold, your collection does not need this figure.
Carlos D Rodriguez I think it was the comic story "Primus: You, Me and Other Revelations", which gave us IDW's take on the origin of the transformers.
No in the IDW comics Primus is straight gold, unless you're referring to a more recent story I haven't read yet. I only remember the Guiding Hand stuff.

It wasn't called the Cyber Planet Key. That was each Transformers power up. What it WAS called is the Omega Lock.
