Yes, Iwas surprised by the size of the rock, very strong bird. I have been visiting this are afor about 15 years and it nevr disapoints. Thanks for watching.
Nice to chat this morning.Been there several times, never seen a King Fisher there. Now I now they come down in winter I will be looking for them great Video.
Nice video Stewart! I never see bullfinches and I think they're such a special bird. That dipper at 2.35 was awesome, the leaf and the reflection was ideal!
Thanks Richard. I'm lucky to see Bullfinch on a regular basis. It's a real shame my sensor fogged up for the Dipper shot, I would have loved to get some photos too. However, if you look at all of the dropping & pellets on the rock, it must use it regularly, so I will try again. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Great shots of these waterside favourites. A Dipper is always a rare treat. Might not see one for months then I seem to stumble on one, without looking, where I can watch it for quite a while, doing its thing. The most chocolate looking bird, I think. Lovely. Cheers
Nice to see the kingfisher back in the dale.👍 I went a month back and the river was almost just a bed of rocks, looking like it has some water back in it, I'll have to go back again soon and see if she is still there. I've caught her a few times now, usually further downstream but each time I manage to get a little closer, the dippers are great to watch. Thanks for posting Stewart, ATB Andy
@@Derbyshire_bird_tours I was there again this afternoon, dippers, grey wagtail, ducks, swan etc. but no kingfishers. The water was quite high but I'll be back in the morning to see how I go then🤞 Oh and by the way, the jumping fish was there, seen with my own eyes, what a sight👌
Gorgeous escape. So good to see a Dipper in mill-pond type water. Kingfisher spying the sky really endearing. Magical Autumnal morning - really couldn't expect more than saw, that would be greedy! Brill Stewart.
Yes, I knew they did but had never seen it before. By the looks of all the brown marks on the rock, it does it quite a lot. Presumably full of scales & wing casings?
Wonderful video. A shame nobody booked on the tour for you, but you were treated to the Dipper and Kingfisher all to yourself! Also, the Grey Wagtail was a lovely moment too, only ever seen them once in 4-5 years of wildlife spotting/learning.
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, I occationally get no takers but that's fine, times are tight for everyone. But I couldn't resist the temptation to still go, really glad I did.
Lovely and peaceful xx
Cheers lil sis. Xx

Amazing footage. Stewart. Once my elbow is better. Can't wait to be back on the walks. Really need to see the kingfisher.
Thanks Jill, we'll get you one soon.

Fantastic, what a day you had Stewart, well worth going out by yourself and then to top it off a Grebe at the end.
Thanks James, there were many more birds films too. I just couldn't fit then in to the story. Goldcrests, Treecreeper, Nuthatch......
I forgot to ask, was it moisture on the lens?
@@jamesclifford3401 No, somehow condensation had got on to the sensor. It cleared after 30 minutes or so.
Excellent footage Stewart
Thank you, it was an amazing morning.
Absolutely brilliant footage mate. Really worth the effort. Must get down there again myself.
Cheers Craig. I just can't keep away and it was nice to hold the camera again.
@@Derbyshire_bird_tours I bet mate. May venture down there soon. Not been sice I saw you there.
Cracking video Stewart, two amazing birds what more could you ask for 🙂
Thank Keith, it really was perfect.

Thanks Andy. There were actulay 2 Kingfishers on the day, we saw them interact on the way back to the car. I hope you get back there soon.

Ah Simon, what a place it is. The Kingfisher only really visits in the Autumn & Winter so I have to make the most of it.
Great video Stewart. May be failing memory but I don't recall seeing a Dipper cough up a pellet before
