Heavy rains hit the southwestern provinces of the country.
The Yangtze River basin was hit by heavy rainfall.
Over 300,000 km2, more than 100 mm of rain fell in 24 hours, causing flooding in many places.

There is no underground infrastructure in China except places where Japanese and German built the cities before WWII.
They built underground engineering system in Chinese Cities where groundwater level would remain same as dry season.
