We shop Kroger, and Walmart, I have a stocked pantry and freezer for about a years worth and that has saved a lot of money, now I just buy things that we need or run out of. Fun shopping haul mamabaird😄
That is a fantastic deal on coffee! Coffee and meat are two things that I will ALWAYS stock up on when it is on sale. We go through both so quickly in our house. It makes it worth the extra spending at once.
I make pizza dough in my bread machine...then divide into balls and freeze some, other that I will use in a few days go in an oiled cereal bowl covered in a plastic bag....I use crushed tomato and put some cheese and left over from the frig
Hot dog chili cheese cornbread casserole. Layer cut up hot dogs, a can of chili, cheese and top with a box of cornbread. My kids loved it. Serve with chili toppings.
Oh my Goodness Carolina that was a savings on the coffee i need to find that savings. Love your singing so cute of you lol. YOU DID A GREAT JOB ON SHOPPING BECAUSE SAFEWAY CAN BE SPENDY BUT YOU GOT THE 50% OFF DEALS WHICH WAS REALLY AWESOME!.
I take hot dogs and cut them lengthwise but not all the way through. I fry a piece of bacon half way done where it is still bendable. I stuff the hotdogs with small slices of cheddar cheese that I slice from a block. Then wrap them with the bacon. I use toothpicks to help hold the bacon on them. Bake them until bacon is finished and cheese is melted. They are delicious
I have really taken a look this year at what we call healthy food and I think we tend to think things like vegetables are healthy but if you look at how it grown and harvested and even the nutrients in then healthy might not be so healthy. When you watch documentaries on how and where foods are grown it’s eye opening. I eat a whole lot less salads now that I understand why there are so many recalls on romaine. It’s never going to change unless they move where it’s grown.
It's certainly better to buy local if it's available. Or grow your own. But sometimes you just have to get what's in budget, as healthy as you can get.
I was loyal to Albertsons for years until they shut down my local store. Best overall savings near me is Winco. Great savings in that haul!! Way to go!!
I hope you did the digital deals, that's where you can really save at Safeway. You have to load them on your phone or computer, they will charge you full price or just the member price unless you download the digital. I shop at Safeway weekly here in WA state, it's a great place to shop.
That chicken was only puffy because they pumped air into it to make the color stay good longer. I doubt it was because there was something growing inside of it releasing oxygen.
The way to shop frugally at Safewsy is to stock up on thier loss leaders and mark downs/ clearance. Also for the items not found at other stores like some spices and herbs, Koll-Aide in the winter, a wider selection of flavors or varieties within a product line, thier house brands, and off-season produce.
I also stock up on items where I can save money. Most of it has been canned goods. Those go in my extra pantry in the basement. That is where my winter stock up is kept . I also walk up and down the meat department to see what is marked down. I have my large upright freezer and my chest freezer full by doing that for the last 4 months. As long as you freeze it right away, there is nothing wrong with buying the mark down meats.
$7.00 for Stawberries!!!! They are $3/$10.00 at my local grocery store in Florida. But, that is a fantastic price on grapes!!! ($2.99 per pound here) Love your channel btw. (The watermelon skit with you and your hubby had me dying!!😂😂)
Hi Mama B.!!! I enjoyed your haul today. You got some good items with some good sales. One thing I do not like to do is grocery shop. My Children are all grown up and I dont have to do it anymore. My oldest Daughter does my grocery shopping for me and Im happy about that.Anyways...Thanks for sharing what you bought with us. Take Care...Great Video!!!...🦋
I have a lovely friend who lives there! I am hoping to see her at Christmas! The only thing I ever bought regularly at Albertsons was Cheap Chicken Monday! Safeway took over and it has never been the same.
Safeway was bought by Albertson’s over ten years ago. Kroger bought Albertson’s this year. For 45 years I’ve bought my meat from Safeway. It’s great to get to know the butchers by name. I’ve been in Vicksburg, MS, the last 6 years but returning to the Portland, OR area in the spring. So happy to be getting back to Safeway and Winco stores.
Wow, can't believe you spent $10.00 on those Baby Bell cheeses!! I've always found Safeway/ Albertsons/ Vons way over priced. I only go in for their sale items!! That is where the savings is!!
Hi I just watched your video about Safeway. Safeway’s store brand Signature has a great salsa that is a peach-pineapple and I swear to you I would drink it if that wasn’t so weird. I’m enjoying your videos.
You might look into no knead pizza dough since you have the pizza oven. You make it a day ahead and it sort of ferments in the refrigerator. I think you might be able to freeze it?
I’ve been going to Safeway since it was a storefront on the same block as other businesses. Not a strip mall, just on the street with a sidewalk in front. Aunt Jemima was making pancakes there when I went there many, many years ago!
I live in Washington state. Our town has two Safeways and a Walmart. Safeway is very expensive. have to buy produce at Safeway because Walmart has horrible veggies and fruit. I have a great eye for spotting those yellow discount stickers 💛
Safeway is my local store in San Francisco and where I go for anything non Asian or Costco. My traditional but not so American hot dog recipes would probably be my grandma Filipino spaghetti. She didn’t made it like other Filipino families the sauce was just cheap pre seasoned marinara sauce with a can of cream of mushroom soup with hot dogs and cheddar cheese. Korean army base stew is also a good one. Ramen with hot dogs, kimchi and American cheese slices.
I went to the store yesterday and stocked up on cake, cookie, and brownie mixes and frostings because they were all 3/$5. I also bought a good number of items that were on sale for Friday and Saturday only. I spent enough to get a Butterball 20 lb. turkey for only $17.50 ($0.85/lb). That was over half off. They were regularly priced for $1.99/lb. I ended up spending $175. My savings were $120. Plus I earned $0.15/ gallon savings on gas. I will pay $175 for $295 worth of groceries anytime.
Hello Carolina first of all I love your personality you are very sweet person I’m going to share a recipe your take ramen noodles cook them as it says on recipe cut up hotdogs put them in there, turn everything off putting it on it. I would put some cheese in it and salt and black pepper. If you don’t take, let it sit for 30 minutes for everything can mix together we in South Georgia love it, and it’s easy. I’ve always wanted to go to Montana. I think it is so beautiful there hugs prayers and much love to your family❤
My daughter when she was younger said I hope I never have to clip coupons or look at the clearance aisle ... She's 30 now and does all those money saving things lol she said I learned them from you
I didn't care for the Cheetos Mac and cheese. It just didn't do it for me, I'm still a KD girl. I used to make hotdogs with cheese and wrap them with Pillsbury weiner wraps. Slice the weiner length wise, insert a piece of cheese. Take a weiner wrap and roll it into a string, wrap around the weiner, and bake according to the package directions. My boys loved them growing up. We would change up the cheese but their favorite was Mexican flavored with the little pieces of jalapeño in it.
Albertsons bought Safeway and now Kroger is preparing to buy Albertson's. Historicalky, Safeway was kniwn fir being a bit more upscale than Albertson's as well as being more of a full service store. Safeway had the Friday $5 deals before either of the other two. Safeway's house brand gping back decades had better quality than most other stores. Then they went on to have 3 different qualities and price points on many things; something you can see at Walmart with 2 price points on select items. Often Safeway's loss leaders have been on paper cipouns in thier ads. With the advent kf the Kroger merger, there are a lot of digital cupons. Safeway was the first major chain to have a loyality card which they market as the Safewsy C,ub card.
Can I ask what time of day you went and what day of the week? Sometimes it makes a difference for what you can find, so just curious. I have a Safeway I’ll have to go look. Great deals!
Parsnip is just like turnip you can put it in any soup I like to roast it with my other root vegetables it has a. Mild taste just like turnips when roasted
You're so like me at the grocery store lmao I buys all reduced stuff too! At my store they reduce everything! Frozen stuff and dairy and bakery and meats and even the deli!
I get my deals from different stores. 2 mom and pop stores do chicken quarters every summer. I stock up. Another does London broil. I stock up. Sams is cheapest for burger by over two dollars a pound. Sometimes sams has meat on clearance. I stock up then. Deals in my area aren’t as good since the world blew up. Let’s hope it will now get better. Coupons need to be like they were too. 🧡💙❤️🩷💚🦋🦋🦋
What's your favorite store to stock up on supplies?
Usually Food City and Kroger
Aldi
Winco
Grocery outlet
We shop Kroger, and Walmart, I have a stocked pantry and freezer for about a years worth and that has saved a lot of money, now I just buy things that we need or run out of. Fun shopping haul mamabaird😄
I love Safeway yes if your not shopping the sales it's expensive but if you shop just the sales you can get awesome deals.
That is a fantastic deal on coffee! Coffee and meat are two things that I will ALWAYS stock up on when it is on sale. We go through both so quickly in our house. It makes it worth the extra spending at once.
Wow! What a deal on coffee! 👍 I'm always looking for sales on coffee, but I have never seen a deal like that. Great finds Carolina!

That sounds delicious thank you shellbell 😊
Sounds really delish 😋!!!...🦋
Sound delicious 😋. Do you just use the dry cornbread mix or make the batter?
@tammyfrace3295 I make the batter.
Unhealthy

I live in Alberta, Canada, but Montana is my favourite place out of everywhere I’ve been on earth! You are blessed to live in such an amazing state ❤️

i love safeway..
THEY have some of the BEST cinnamon rolls in their bakery with creamcheese icing.
Great deal on the coffee! My experience with the cheetos Mac and cheese is that the cheese powder is very lumpy and grainy hard to get smooth
You go girl 😊 I love watching your videos 💕 you got some great deals!!!

Great shop!
We use to have a Safeway here and I sure miss it.
They had the best sales and their regular prices were cheaper than Walmart.
Btw, I'm from North Central Iowa.
I hope you have a Safeway card to download their digital coupons. They often have $5 off $25 or $10 off $50.
Every once in a while we like to make sliced hotdogs with eggs and cheese and sometimes potatoes. One pot meal Don't forget the toast!
Kroger has turkey on sale 49cents a pound this week

I love Safeway! I got over $400 worth of food for $200!!
Wow!!
Question why do you buy bar s hot dogs? You could buy chicken and serve a better protein
Where did you find this Safeway store? In our part of western Montana, I have only seen Albertsons stores. Just wondering.
This was in Hamilton!
Wow I want the coffee ❤😅
I hope your family liked the Cheetos Mac and cheese. I thought it was nasty and a RUclipsrs teenagers agreed with me. Makes $.99 not a value.
Fix wieners and Mac and cheese
SBar hotdogs are the worst.
I don't mind them!
Made w corn. If there's any meat in them it's snouts w nitrate & nitrite. Probably has maltodextrine 2!?!
@@mamabairdsLike bars hotdogs to, Especially when money is tight,Some just don't get it
