It’s amazing how he can go from kids show to adult animated comedy to sidekick to henchman to comedic relief so quickly. All without changing his voice. He is a legend.
If there is one thing. Absolutely one thing. That baffles me about this man. It’s how flexible he was. He had one voice and yet he was in Kids Cartoons, adult animations, commercials, vulgar comedys, and you don’t get that anymore. Closest we have was Robin Williams who made a complete transition but I don’t think he did comedy after he transitioned. Then theres Gilbert just casually voicing some iconic cartoon voices with the mouth he uses to insult your mother.

He really was more lively as an animated character. Billy and Mandy's Santa Claus was my favorite VA role for him. Seeing his name in the intro screen even as a kid, i looked forward to seeing santa in that special 😂
I remember when he passed away I made a tik tok account just to make a dab video to dedicate it to gilbert gottfried and I told one of his jokes and like most of his jokes it wasn't accepted by the public and tik tok took down my video, in a way I feel like I by it getting taken down I honored gilbert gottfried even more. I didn't know he voiced so many characters! To me as a child, he was mainly Digit, as Cyber Chase was one of my favorite shows.
What made Cyber Chase even more popular was not just because of Gilbert Goddfried as Digit, but also because of Christopher Lloyd as The Hacker.
