The most important thing in my life has been doing my very best at work, but lately I’ve been challenged with repetitive motion injuries that trigger deep sadness and loss of hope for my future. I’m going to keep doing things to heal my arms, back, mind, and cardiac muscle. I won’t be a burden to society. As Louis Armstrong Said: ‘I will retire when I expire ‘. Thanks, Savage. I’ll dedicate my next physiotherapy session to you. My tears are shed in gratitude to you, man.
Thanks for this Video, inspiring and I thought I was too late starting at 40 🤙🏻
God Bless You Alan. You are an inspiration
A true GENTLEMAN in EVERY sense of the word
I can't like this video enough. Beautiful story.
Incredibly inspirational! Thank you for sharing this with the world!
Inspiring story of one man’s dedication and perseverance expressed through his involvement in BJJ, despite age and any health issues. Excellent presentation in the video and I’m sure many can learn from his commitment. Pretty sure it’s not the first time I’ve watched this. Legacy BJJ, Fantastic work on this, and with your student.
It’s never too late to be a savage!
Best quote I’ve ever heard

Truly inspirational, and you really warmed my heart mate. I’ve just got home from the Gym and have been frustrated with injuries I have that have been getting me down, but you cleared my head and I can’t wait to get in the gym again tomorrow. Well done my friend.
Wow. What an amazing story ❤️. Thank you for sharing your story. I started my journey for Jiu jitsu a month ago and love doing it every day
Beautiful, congrats on your journey sir. Keep on inspiring. Oss.
Lovely human being, you can tell he truly enjoys what he does and has true passion.
Made me cry... wow man... thank you for this. I'm 34 and will be doing bjj for life
This is so INSPIRING! Man, aging is quite painful! This organic machine we call our "bodies" wasn't meant to last a long time. However, we can only push ourselves to the best of our abilities. Martial arts is a great way to push ourselves!
Dang. I am 59 and recovering from prostate surgery. Always wanted to try this. Good story to hear.
choccows I hope that you try it. I’m 39, have done martial arts since my teens, and am definitely going to study BJJ soon in addition. to Muay Thai. I think BJJ is a safer way to train these days though since I don’t heal like I used to. These type of videos are so inspiring. It makes me remember to always live life to the fullest despite ones age.
I started bjj at 48, will be 50 in April, do it!
you can but pick a gym that is not too brutish
choccows don’t wait, just do it if you can breathe, you can !! Good luck Sir 👏👏👏
