Can you do something with the interrogation room, perhaps turn it into a washroom or a mud room for the garage? Maybe change it so that the path from the garage doesn't go through the study? Also, I think someone mentioned that there might be something lurking under the staircase in that house...

If I had to guess, I'd say that empty room in the back is where the murderer tied up someone he didn't want to kill. That, or a potential victim managed to sneak in and hide until the killer left. Either way, the lack of blood suggests no one died in there, and the murderer came in through the front door, into the living room, and then up the stairs, tracking dirt the entire way, until the tracks fade right before he turns to the bedrooms, so if the murderer ever went into that back room, it wasn't on his first pass.
I'd say he probably went in, did his murderin', went upstairs, rounded up the kids, came back down, and stuffed them in the back room. Then he went back into the living room to ransack the place (the cupboards are open, all the dishes, pots and pans, and small kitchen appliances are gone, and that table in the far corner is begging for a TV or artwork or collectibles or something), and that's how he got the blood on his shoes.

my favorite time of day is story time with gray
I analyzed the crime scene (I'm studying to be a forensic analyst) and there were about 3 people murdered in that house judging from the blood splatters. I think they were also shot (probably multiple times) if each blood splatter was that large and in that pattern. The murderer did not do a very good job of hiding the evidence and had muddy footprints (which makes it easier for the police to analyze and narrow down their search) and even was messy enough to have bloody footprints leading outside.

Gray, single outlets are pretty common in the USA for high amperage appliances. Like window air-conditioners. Usual dual outlets are rated at 15 amps. High current single outlets are often rated up to 20 amps, and sometimes have T shaped slot on one side (To prevent a high current device being plugged into a normal outlet), instead of 2 straight lines (Neutral and Hot) and a halfdome (Ground) opening. The single outlet is common to prevent plugging more than 1 high amperage device into that outlet.

Story time was hilarious! I did the same after seeing something like that on tv and thought it would be "funny". My mom had the exact same reaction, after being sure it was all fake and such, yea, one of the two beatings i ever got in my life. That was too funny remembering that.

The room near the back of the house is an insane asylum that the murderer put the victims they didnt want to kill in, but they died when trying to fix the outlet behind th2 door, that is why it is so dirty.

About the electricians in Australia you DON'T need one to change a light bulb, or anything with a socket, however, light switches, or the socket itself, you're supposed to get an electrician to change anything about them.

up until 1999 it was illegal to remove a plug from a socket or change a lightbulb without being licenced in australia under the 1998 Electricity Safety Act

18:00 - In Hollywood, the union rules are so stringent that if a set requires a light bulb and a shade feature, a production assistant has to call an electrician and a grip, then they have to wait for an electrician to place or replace the bulb, and then wait for a grip to place the shade. If anyone does another guys job, like an electrician setting the shade, or even the PA doing both actions, they can be fired from the set.
