Great videos. You guys are getting me hooked on fishing for Muskies. I will be ready to go this spring. Love the Vexus too. I’m in a Lund for now. Cheers
The bad news, due to a bad heart attach I’ve been off the water for the last 7 weeks. The good news I’m heading north and have been given the OK to get back in the boat. Slow and easy, but can’t wait to feel the tug and there is a lot of open water fishing left to enjoy. Stay safe, stay healthy, enjoy each day, God Bless!
@@thelonesomefisherman7425 Thank you! I’m very blessed. God and my wonderful wife are helping me through this. Thank heaven for RUclips. When a fisherman can’t fish it is a true life saver. Hope you had a great season.
@larrystolzman9337 You're welcome. Due to my own life issues I haven't been muskie fishing for a few years. I miss it and hope to get back to it someday. RUclips helps, I agree with you.
You'll be back and will have a new appreciation like I have. 9 weeks from double bypass surgery I was battling tarpon and cudas having the time of my life! Be well.
Lee, If you wanna know how to catch them on figure 8s, Watch Doug Wagner He has it mastered.Increased your catch by 1000%. He also uses longer rods and mostly does Os not 8s. God Bless
I was merely referring to catching less as of late on figure 8s- have caught literary dozens over 50" on 8s. Just not as much recently. I do fish much less now though. Thanks for watching.
I was on a Canada trip this year and had about 25 follows without a hook set during the 6 days. What do you think your percentage of bites to follows is? I know in the 50 +years I have fished I have not gotten better than a 5% "hit" ratio. Moving fish is easy...hooking is tough.
have to add mid retrieve triggers. Speed up when nearing boat, work on seamless transition into figure eights and picking up speed. Pretend youre playing with a cat, always always take the bait away, never ever slow down. Hit ratio shouldn't be that low.
Im down by lee on the lower lakes. only one musky boated, a few missed, and a just a ton of northern 30-40" range. A rough couple months but its been fun though just getting out.
Hello Lee and Robbie, thanks a lot for your channel - not only fun, but a lot of learning curve for me as well! Look, I've purchased SWAT 2020 as a general purpose rod. I've no experience with Dawgs'n'Dusas but want to try without further investments into gear. I'm wondering if SWAT 2020 would provide for a good retrieve with this ripping technique. It looks like you guys are using SnA or Moab for that kind of lures.
So, Robbie makes a habit of showing up 4 hours late and then catching the only muskie that day?? 😮 Lee, if I were you I'd make him pay a penalty for such bad behavior. Make him buy the pizza and beer. !! 😊😂
I fished the last 3 Fridays...... big goose egg. Same area as Lee was fishing. Saw 1 fish caught. Still will go back. Hard to drive by trophy waters going North all the time!😎😎
Incredible rig- the most stable boat from fishing to wide open throttle! More DRY storage than the rest on the market and doing it with great styling. Very happy.
You guys are great and videos are top notch but after you stopped using Medusa’s as much and started using that ninja bucktail your catch rates have plummeted… sorry just the truth. The fish seem to check out the ninja but don’t eat…. Both of you guys were throwing blades and only caught the one small one. I’m no Green Bay expert at all but don’t you want to change it up and one guy use something different? You guys have caught fish that I dream of, only commenting to help you get on track again! After moonrise during ANY phase I close up shop and go home… Joe Bucher swears by that too, too many wasted hours have taught me! Good luck and I look forward to your next 50”!
Actually the truth is we haven't stopped using the Medussa at all but less action on them this season for whatever reason has inspired us to throw different stuff. These 10-15 minute videos only show a small slice of what happens in a 14 hour day. Hot streaks come and go along with lures. Do you honestly think we didn't rip around a Dussa for more than half the day? 😉 Thanks

May and june were incredible months. It has really died off for july and august. Hopefully september is a different story

I've noticed your comments on a number of different muskie fishing channels. Just wanted to extend my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Lee: Knowing your health issues, it was wonderful to see you down in Florida catching that big tarpon this spring.

I think I might have seen you guys out on the bay today. Looked like the exact same boat and sounded like you.
Nope-not us
I have had my best season ever, great video guys.
Nice

You're welcome. The SWAT will work for Regular sized Dussas. S&A and MOAB will make easier.

Just goes to show, you can fish trophy water and still get skunked.

@@scottagbuis5321 Muskie fishermen understand not catching a fish... unfortunately. Lol
Hey you guys should try to go to the Hodag musky tournament the 22 to the 24
go to Rainbow or Chippewa prob some moafs in dare
Where do you get bulk 1500yd spools of 80lb power pro V2 in like green ? It’s like impossible to find. Like you guys buy?
www.tackledirect.com/powerpro-super-slick-v2-braided-line.html
If muskies are stacked up in an area, can they all get turned on to eat if one goes after a lure? Like bass schools do.
I'm betting yes
You guys don't try stopping your baits on way in? I find I get hammered more on the pause than anything
We actually talk about that all the time or even a quick burst of the handle
Good video. Where do you stay or suggest to for average fisherman when you fish Green Bay?
There's a couple hotels around Suamico and Green Bay.
Lol late and catch the first fish 😂😂
Suamico River???
why not troll for them if the casting bite is tough?
Not our preferred method
Missing gill plate?
Such a sweet boat
Hi Lee how are you liking your Vexus are you having any issues You're not happy with?
