if the dot was truly concerned about safety they would drop the monetary fines and go to only progressive license suspension and shutting down truck and trailer for a set amount of time, that incentivises the drivers and companies to do it right. too many just pay the fine and continue to operate. if they only shut down the drivers then the companies just throw another driver into the truck, but if they shut down driver, truck, and trailer, and progressivly make the shut down longer for each violation within a set amount of time.

Let's go ahead and make you pay me (The Government) for you messing around, and having no money to get you put out of service to start with - Perpetuating the Problem, so that you can then be put out of service again easier to then have to pay another "Increased Fine" for which the cycle continues.

They are doing this too precisely to get rid of more drivers so that they can have a reason to get unmanned electrical trucks to do the work

And more and more American people will not be truck drivers. America will have even more foreign drivers and that ain’t good.

Freight rates are not keeping up with inflation, and we can not afford it now, what makes them think we can afford it in the new year.

If it’s about inflation then why aren’t we getting payed more too? We’re getting lower rates. 🤬

Please realize, you or your type is the problem… if you all quit, then people treating you as their piggy bank won’t have anyone to steal money from.

Good Evening, DOT is a business, they are doing what business owners should do, raise their prices.
I’ll never understand and I started driving in 96’, why on earth do we sit on our hands and allow this.
Every industry has raised their prices, truck drivers complain and complain but do nothing, literally.
We have the power, if you’re at home stay home, if you’re on the road go home. The dock workers are preparing for yet another strike and for many years drivers have done absolutely nothing.
    When will enough be enough.
    Stay safe.

Robert. Suggest learning about Equity in law. Check out Andrew Macdonald's stuff. Properly applied, it should wipe out he fines, without using Federal Resercmve Notes.

They don't wanna raise rates but they wanna charge us more in fines. It's more important now than ever to get yourself a legal insurance. It pays for itself and even more true with this new increases fines.
