1. Go to the beaches. 2. Drive an hour to the mountains for hiking, an hour-and-half for skiing in winter. 3. Drive two hours to the desert (Joshua Tree National Park). 4. Get a boat and go to the Channel Islands, or take the ferry to Catalina Island. 5. Take a drive north along Pacific Coast Highway to Santa Barbara. 6. Check out the incredible ethnic restaurants of LA. 7. Museums (Getty Museum, The Broad, etc.; Huntington Library in spring). 8. Shopping. 9. Amusement parks (not worth the money; spend the money on shopping instead). 10. Chinatown.
Thank you for all your suggestions 😍 We enjoyed in Joshua Trees National Park and Channel Islands are definitely on our bucket list for the next time when we're in LA. 😀
Best time to visit Joshua Tree is right after the rainy season in early spring. Not only for the desert flowers, but the blooming Ocotillo patch is unreal. It will look like another planet.
Born and raised in LA, moved to TX for four years and moved back last year. NO place like LA. A true melting pot of forward thinking people, hard workers, hard lovers and adventurists. Even married with kids there is ALOT to explore.
Thank you so much for suggesting these places! My family and I are going on our flight there tomorrow, and we’re really excited! Hopefully we get a chance to visit some of these places! 😊
Great list! I think it’s also nice to add the Madam Tussaud Hollywood right next to the TCL Chinese Theatre on the list. I very much enjoyed exploring the wax figures :)
I guess a 7 minutes is not enough, to describe how much Los Angeles beautiful. I have been in many places, when a traveled, but i still didn't attend a California. So i hope that a coming soon will be in LA)) thnx for small city guide)
Good job 👍! This is a great list. I will add that right across from #2 is the LA central library, which is the largest in the City with beautiful architecture. Also close to the observatory is Americana, a fancy shopping center. There are other beautiful beaches such as hermosa, Malibu, Long Beach and Huntington.
please do not forget the South Bay area: San Pedro, CMAquarium, Korean Bell; Palos Verdes, Wayfarer Chapel, Terranea.... we love the area ..and you can travel to Santa Catalina Island!!!!
For people watching Beverly Hills Rodeo drive is lots of fun. Sit and 'bag count'. Try to see who has the most fancy and expensive store bags. Locals tip - Go to Rite Aid on Canon dr., two blocks east of Rodeo for inexpensive great ice cream and treats. Sit on the patio and count the number of high end cars stopping by for their six pack of bud lite. Enjoy LA.
I just loved this video. I am local to LA and I visited almost all of these places. Apart from this, I have one more option that anyone can visit to find mental peace i.e Quantum Clinic. It is best for float spa with frequency therapy. It can help in Pain reduction, Improved energy, Stress reduction and relaxation, and many more. I think you and your audience will love it.
A. Armiento we’re also from the Uk 🇬🇧 and we went for my wife’s birthday 2 months ago! We split our time 50/50 between downtown and the beach but really wish we’d based ourselves at the beach for the entirety of the trip! Have fun!!!
I'm from Long beach California and you should of said Queen Mary its in long beach. Or visit Catalina island its about 1hr and something in a short boat trip.
2:17 This remind me of walking down the hill. I was so exhausted at that time and took a rest on a branch. The trail is reeeeeally long with zigzag patterns. So I planned to leave before the sunset but failed... But anyway it was a good trip
i enjoyed renting a cabin in lake arrowhead, shop at factory outlets, go to TJ for tacos and churros, have mini vacations to puerto vallarta, palm springs, vegas, san diego, san francisco, santa barbara, walks and eating out at 3rd street promenade, the grove, glendale galleria or beside it is americana, so many options.
For the walk of fame, I recommend you walk from Hollywood and highland south to sunset to eat at In N Out or at Chick Fill A. If you go to Santa Monica pier, park in the library for the best parking price, you can walk to the beach and the mall.
Hey Jock, great 😀 Don’t worry, traffic is bad, yes, but the sights are totally worth it. While the area is quite densely populated it is also a very large area, there are many much more crowded places on earth 😉 Enjoy!
I was born in LA but sadly moved away by the time I was 5 years old. But during my childhood time while visiting my mother on the weekends, my stepfather would take me and my siblings to the beach, hiking up to the Hollywood wood sign and most of all, malls but never once has he ever take us to Hollywood Walk of Fame...
I’m trying to convince my parents to bring me to L.A but so far it’s not working 😐. I’ve been once tho, for a band trip but I never actually got to do anything I would’ve liked too
Visited it all in GTA V

Wow, it looks like another planet even now so it’s hard to imagine how it is in early spring 😉 we’ll definitely go there again then 😀
