I haven't found one talk yet that I can relate to fully regarding anxiety, and that told me something I could actually use to get over it. For example, my anxiety doesn't disappear at work because I'm confident there. Where there are people, I'm anxious about interacting with them, when I need to present it's even worse, when I'm alone at home I worry about future problems and things I didn't do properly, and I miss having intimate social connections that I know I can't have anyway because I'm not capable of conversations the same way other people are, and I just don't feel comfortable enough around people to make friends. So yeah, it's easy to say you need to break the loop, but how do you do that when you actually believe there's something wrong with you and others are aware of it? I can't seem to get my mind off of: this person probably thinks I behave strangely, this person probably thinks I'm weird, I'm probably saying something strange now, I will probably not know what to say, O dear I don't know what to say and now the situation get's really awkward. It really drives me insane. Sometimes I wish I could shut off my feelings so at least I wouldn't have to feel broken and lacking all the time.
There you have it.
I think it is the lack or not being true to yourself mate..that is how I treat my angst. Use it as an indicator that you are not quite where you are. Also, tell at least one close friend you are suffering. Opening up works..like a catharsis.
I identify with this comment so much. Especially being in college, my anxiety just seems to be getting worse because I'm very ambitious but not enough to silence my anxiety.
+jackdawcaw I know how you feel. It's hard, because you don't know what they think. I'm dealing with this too. Hang in there. Good luck.
Look into another ted talk about psychedelics. See if it's for you.
Hypnotherapy worked really well for me.
Much respect to you sister.
I wish you all the best of life.
We are all in this together. You are never truly alone. We know the struggle.
Never stop chasing who you truly are!
+CJ -Chan Excellent Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I would love your thoughts. Have you heard about - Koryzary Calmer Ambience (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is an awesome one off guide for getting rid of panic attacks minus the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my friend after a lifetime of fighting got excellent results with it.
Good info the best results that ive ever had was with the Seans Shy Program (i found it on google) - without a doubt the most useful resource that I have ever tried.
Oh hai! Nice video you have there! Hope you wont mind me sharing.. have you tried " Vidadsmedia Child Anxiety Treatment " (search on google)? My sister had some business with them and was impressed by their awesome treatment when the anxiety attack was completely treated !
Kortyzory ambience
The problem is that if you have bad anxiety, you can't work because your mind is all over.
this is so true I want to work so bad just to get health insurance....
Physical symptoms are the worst.
I have anxiety and work it hard yet you can do it
That is OCD. and low serotonin
Train yourself before!
That statistic about 8% of worries being likely was the most helpful thing I've heard for a long time. Definitely not forgetting that one
I watched this video on New Year's Eve when my anxiety had really got the best of me. I got my journalling book and started making notes. I really appreciate her honesty although I have to say I am shocked that she suffers with anxiety. She looks so bubbly and confident. Her ending statement, be a warrior not a worrier was so inspiring.
I also agree with what she said about her husband being happy because he did so many things. I think its so important to pursue interests: go places, meet people, try new things, volunteer. It's only when we are uncomfortable that we can be truly be comfortable.

If I were in her shoes and asked to do a Ted Talks lesson, I think my thought process would look more like:
1. Wow, this is amazing!
2. Are they sure they want me? Is this a joke?
3. I can't do this.. There must be someone better for this..
4. I choke up in public speaking. I literally, physically can't do this..
5. That's it. I'm cancelling .. cancelling this once in a lifetime opportunity that I *know* I'll regret but I can't get over my temporary fears for the lasting satisfaction of acting on this opportunity...
This is one of my favorite talks! She said something that really stuck with me “have I been fighting my fears in life or just fighting no”.....I’ve fought many of my”no’s” that I’ve mistaken for fear only to still be anxious once I got them. Great way to look at our fears. Thank you @angelaceberano !
As someone diagnosed with two anxiety disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, I appreciated this talk. It was very inspiring to me. Thank you for giving it, Angela Ceberano, and I hope you continue to conquer your fears - and that this talk helps others hearing it conquer their fears as well.
She is right in saying that everyone should be a warrior, fighting their own fears. Anxiety is a feeling that few can get rid of because it's quite impossible to have control of your thoughts, negative thoughts. She is giving some advice because she overcame it. I don't see arrogance or self confidence, it is just an attempt to help others.
She inspired me. You can't wait to get your anxiety under control before you act. You have to act in spite of it, while at the same time doing what you can to minimize it.
Thank you for sharing. This video was great! Starting my business at 28 and had my first panic attack recently. Choosing to have a warrior mindset is truly good advice, because if you feel like a victim of your anxiety, you will truly just worry more which leads to more anxiety and panic. Her point is to do things that give you a sense of strength and empowerment.
This is actually very helpful, I used to have very bad anxiety, now it is getting better. I still have anxiety presenting in front of people and I have deep fear answering calls on the phone.
Lately I was suggested by someone to call a bunch of random company like phone company and ask questions. You can say this is my fear project. Even commenting on youtube videos is part of the fear project for me.
Fear will always be there unless you do something about it. The more you face it, the less fear you will have. Sitting there feeling sorry for yourself or replaying the fear in your mind wont help at all! you must face your fear, and you must create fear projects and eventually the more you do it, the more numbers you call, your fear will be gone.
As I always say, "with change comes opportunity", and yet we are so resistant and fearful of change, thus limiting our own opportunities. Loved watching this! Very pleased for you xx
I always tell people who ask that I was born stressed and worried. This video has helped me incredibly. I completely relate to the excitement, to the self-doubt, than back to the excitement of overcoming my anxiety and fear. Except, this happens usually when its too late and my opportunity has passed. This is definitely a video that must be rewatched and listened to it over and over again.
I needed to hear this message during this time in my life. I believe it was no coincidence I found and started watching Queen of Sheba on You Tube. I never imagined that watching vlogs could lead me to such a brilliant talk that would inspire me so much. Angela, you did an amazing job and I am now on a mission to stop worrying and be a determined warrior. What have I got to loose, right?
I love the way she talks. It is gentle and kind of like a tinkling in ears. I see people have commented that the anxiety she addresses is not the clinical, horrible leveled one that some people experience, but if you look at the other talks, they too offer the same remedy. Go for it and tackle the fear.
I liked the talk. Refreshing and light.
I also have experienced anxiety growing up. There were many things you mentioned in your talk that resembled my life. I also use to wonder as a teen, when will I stop worrying?? I also was told I couldn't accomplish more in my life. Thanks to the grace of God, I've been a teacher for 16 years, am married to a wonderful man, and have two healthy kids. Watching your video inspired me to be a strong person and you have shown me a way of how to overcome my anxiety. Thank you!
Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing your story. Anxiety does not all look the same. Yes, someone who is professional, posh, and carries designer handbags can suffer from it. I loved this talk and I'm saving it to re-watch again. ♡
1:44 EXACTLY what I’m doing right now... also still gotta say I’m actually subscribed to her channel and I was surprised to see her here! So proud of her ❤️
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼 I love the idea of having a fear project as I am a worrier myself. Queenofsheba did an amazing job! 👌🏼💪🏼👊🏼 proud subscriber right here 😊
This actually helped me. I did suffer from anxiety attacks early in life, but I never thought it was the source of my problems and the reason for my unhappiness. To attack your fears, head on, regardless of how hard it may seem, makes the most sense. I like the idea of a fear project.
From studying the topic of fear and anxiety, she is absolutely correct to all you nay sayers. You have to tackle you fears, in whatever category they are in, to be at peace and to be happier. How you overcome your fears when you tackle them, is something that you will figure out if you put in a serious effort. This isn't a math equation people. If your looking for some kind of voodoo trick to overcoming anxiety and fear, your not going to find it.
Jacob Dix Dix Shots fired.
anxiety is caused by fear - mainly irrational based on some traumatic experience from years past - which is being repeated by an amygdala that is firing - as it has 'paired and conditioned' with trigger settings. Much as this women is good looking, and is probably annoying with the Life I Want stories, facing fear is the way to reduce anxiety. Its graduated exposure - will re-set the mechanism: the amygdala.
I don't agree. I have swallow anxiety for a few months now and face the fear at least 3 times a day. This on itself does not create progression, it's more in the approach rather than 'just doing' is my experience even though I am far from 'anxiety-free'.
Anxiety is a fear response of the amygdala. The only way to change it is my confronting the fear in a graded way, and then - over time, the neurons that originally fired stop, and the new ones do fire without causing amygdala response. You can read the current research on neuro-plasticity and amygdala responses. Cognition, and new behaviour is the solution.
Greg Ingram Thanks Greg, do you have a link?

I couldnt get to sleep most nights. I took control over my Anxiety and kicked out so happiness could come back in.
probably one of the most helpful videos on youtube in regards to Anxiety.
A lot of people talking about anxiety on here are super cliche.. and say a lot of humdrum things. But this actually helped me evoke emotions that change my mind about anxiety.
Amazing! You are an inspiration to me. I'm a worrier. Will work on being a warrior.
Thank you so much for this talk, Angela! It's helped a lot and given me not just ideas for tackling fear, but also a way to take away its power. Good luck for your and Phil's careers!
Angela! Very well spoken and so touching! Thanks for being an inspiration!

Ange, we are so similar, I have alway had to conquer NO! And I started my YT channel and it helped me speak in front a camera, I to have to speak to a lot of people at work on all different levels and do presentation and YT has helped me so much! Great topic! You are an inspiration!!
Good on you Ange - you were fantastic!! I have struggled with anxiety for years but you've made think that I can use it as a driving force and not something to try and run away from - so thank you :)
Great job, Ange. You were so very poised and eloquent. One would never know you have a fear of public speaking. Your message resonated with me, as I too deal with anxiety and depression. Taking your worries and fears and using them to propel you into new arenas and ventures is a compelling idea. You are such an inspiration. The world is truly your oyster. xo

Wow Angela you were beyond fantastic! As a fellow Aussie & an extremely anxious person by nature, I couldn't be more proud & patriotic to see you up there! (No more of that tall poppy stuff!) If this warrior moment doesn't deserve a new Hermes, Chanel or an LV, I don't know what does! 😉

Very good motivational speaking, Queen!!! Loved it!!! So happy for you! Just what I needed to hear! Thank you for sharing this with us!!!
What a crock. If anxiety were as simple as fighting a fear, I wouldn't be laying in bed at 1.30am feeling like I'm in a damn horror film and having no idea why!! There isnt a direct fear to bloody fight. Sheesh
Exactly
I can relate so much until it's almost comforting...
K... guess this comment saved 11 minutes of my life. Being a mess for no reason sucks.
Ange! You are amazing....I'm going to think of a fear project for myself. Super proud of you! x

Hi Ange, Well I've just watched your Ted Talk, and I can't say congratulations enough, you were awesome. Your talk was inspired and inspiring. It dealt with a very personal subject, and the way you fight to keep the demon caged. If I can just say you are a pleasure to watch, your confidence in front of the camera is high enough to need mountain boots. Massive times a million 'WELL DONE' big hugz and lotsa love 💐🌹💐🌹💐🌹💐xxxxxx
Super super. You gives me a lot of hope. Thanks very much. Because I now live with high functioning anxiety which some times don't let me go out of my room.
I have GAD, part nature, part nurture in my case. It's a constant struggle. Like the presenter says, it's a bouncing around between excitement and worry. I'm working on learning on how to manage it. It's nice to hear these type of lectures and see how they cope and manage it.
Great talk Angela. Very inspiring! You looked very confident!
Excellent points, very well made - Thank You!
The thing is, a person with anxiety can be very different to another person who also suffers anxiety. You are who you are based entirely on what you experience in life, every single second of every single day, you are always changing very gradually as a result. That’s why no two people are the exact same. Then there are all of the many, many other things that go on in your brain that create what you are. You can listen to others but ultimately you know yourself better than anyone and you will do whatever you think is best for you even if it isn’t, unbeknownst to you, the best thing to do.
This has actually put me in more anxiety।
Anxiety and fear are two diff things. For a person having anxiety .. getting out of comfort zone is not so easy as that
Inspired…thank you Angela! I will take on a fear project today!
Great talk!!! I've never commented on a video but you are amazing!!! Very inspirational
Ride the wave as I like to say. It wasn't until I stopped running from or looking for reasons not to confront my subconscious beliefs that recovery happened. Riding the wave means accepting who you are in that moment, therefore loving who you are, and seperating what you're currently doing (behavior) from what your true identity is (warrior).
Excellent speech Angela. Delivered it with no fear.
She helped me. There is something to be gained from everything and if you didn't derive something useful/she didn't help you personally I invite you to get over it.
Amber 180 😂👏👌🏻
