Messi even now makes people enjoy watching footy, he's prob still better than 95% of the players now easily
@@kmcd3020 nobody else in the league has done it. And for Messi’s entire career he’s been too good for all but 2-3 leagues in the world. You are what we call a hater, good day to you.

Agree 100%. The only player I may have enjoyed watching play football more than Messi - was his mentor - Ronaldinho (in his prime). If Messi is a sorcerer of football, Ronaldinho was a wizard and a jester of football. Messi was a million times more consistent ofc and broke almost every stat while Dinho wanted to enjoy the good life and didn't care enough about football at an early stage. Let's be serious. Messi left his prime in like 2020/21. He's still better than the vast majority of players, but between 2008-2019, he was MILES better. He's not as explosive off the dribble and often finds himself needing to wrestle guys off more now unlike before where he'd shrug them off and outrun them on the ball. His playmaking and finishing ability has not changed one bit though.

It's sad that Messi had to leave Barca. It really hit them hard, and they are still struggling to regain their footing. I look forward to the Copa America next month to see him back with Argentina competing against Brazil. Man City crushed Wolverhampton today. Were you guys at the game? Haaland finally got his groove back. What's going on with Dias?? Did Pep pull him or is he hurt? I record all their matches but somehow missed what was going on with him. Would like to see him and Stones back starting.
Barcelona had everything set great in 2022/23 after doing a domestic double, but towards the end they stumbled and it carried on to the beginning of 2023/24. They made good signings, but at the cost of letting good players go. The fact that they chose Frenkie De Jong over Kessie is just beyond baffling. Easily the most overrated pylon of a midfielder. There's a misconception that Ronaldo is pure hard work and Messi is just talent. Talent only gets you to a level, ask Ben Hafar, Quaresma, Jay Jay Okocha, Robinho and the rest. Scoring 91 goals in a calendar year is not just talent, winning the world cup at 35 can't be attributed to just talent. He's as hard working as Ronaldo just doesn't lift as much weight as Ronaldo. P.s. Ronaldo is also talented, he is the best finisher the game has ever seen.

The reason why real madrid have so many champions leagues is the same reason they haven't won a treble yet, they put the champions league above everything else to the point that they don't care if they do horrible in laliga if they win the champions league, I could go as far to say that I have seen them lift the champions league meanwhile playing really bad in all other competitions, like they didn't even try.
Not to mention they're not good at consistency. The Copa Del Rey remains the hardest trophy for them to win because it means you have to win every game in a row. Unlike the UCL, they get extra chances to correct their mistakes. As for La Liga, Barcelona simply did not give them a challenge. Any time Barcelona actually puts an effort(like 2022/23 season), they end up winning La Liga bar 2017 when Madrid were absolute monsters.

It's shame that medical issues plagued his career, because the GOAT debate would have been a lot more interesting if we'd seen R9's peak extended. But that makes me grateful Messi has been able to stay healthy for as long and as often as he has.
i'm sorry but Haaland even if he scored 1000 goals in a season isn't half the player messi was. the focus on goals is enough to make messi a cut above the best of the best even, but he is an absolute world class playmaker with absolutely mad assist and key pass stats, and succesfuill dribbles stats. haaland is a goalscorer, nothing else.
That being said, Haaland still deserved last season's Ballon D'or. I say that as a Barcelona supporter and huge fan of Messi. It was outside of the World Cup window and he didn't play all that great in PSG. It was purely a favoritism award. Imagine the outrage if Messi, who'd won a treble with Barca and scored over 50 goals, but lost the 2015 Ballon D'or to Neuer because he won the 2014 World Cup. That's practically the situation that Haaland was in against Messi in the Ballon D'or race. Most Messi fans ignore it because they feel like it challenges Messi's greatness for someone to win a Ballon D'or over him. The man already had 7 and had a season that makes players like Vini look good.
@@NoCluYT stop lying, you're not a barca or messi fan. imagine comparing messi's 2014-2015 season to haaland's simply based on goals. you have to be watching football with your ars* to come to that conclusion. messi creates for himself, for others, directs play from the front, back, the wings, key assists, assists, play makes scores. haaland played in the team that even before him created by far the most expected goals and open goal chances for their forwards. there's literally no easier job than being pep guardiola's man city striker, nothing was expected of him but sitting in the box. haaland cannot do anything well other than being a poacher, he parasited on his physical ability for a while but even now that's over. he didn't score in the clutch games, the big final stages and big games much if anything last season, as well as this season. heavily overrated player

MESSI:: counter-attacks, possesion, dribbles, dummy runs, free-kicks, long shots, weighted passes, curls shots, penalties, entertainment, breaking records, statistics, all time stats, ….too much sauce!!!!
Messi wanted to be the best ever. Gaúcho got bored.
I want people to realize that it is ENCARA not ANKARA! It is a Spanish word…
i'm sorry but Haaland even if he scored 1000 goals in a season isn't half the player messi was. the focus on goals is enough to make messi a cut above the best of the best even, but he is an absolute world class playmaker with absolutely mad assist and key pass stats, and succesfuill dribbles stats. haaland is a goalscorer, nothing else.
@@NoCluYT stop lying, you're not a barca or messi fan. imagine comparing messi's 2014-2015 season to haaland's simply based on goals. you have to be watching football with your ars* to come to that conclusion. messi creates for himself, for others, directs play from the front, back, the wings, key assists, assists, play makes scores. haaland played in the team that even before him created by far the most expected goals and open goal chances for their forwards. there's literally no easier job than being pep guardiola's man city striker, nothing was expected of him but sitting in the box. haaland cannot do anything well other than being a poacher, he parasited on his physical ability for a while but even now that's over. he didn't score in the clutch games, the big final stages and big games much if anything last season, as well as this season. heavily overrated player
ankara Messi ;D
