    Austin’s downtown has really grown over the years. I also like the Hill Country it sits next to. With that said, I pick Dallas. Austin is just a nice weekend trip and usually that’s to the Hill Country.

    They dress much better and classier in Dallas. Austin is a real eyesore.

    I know for Austin Is Higher Paying jobs but Higher cost of Living and if you want something less Expensive in the Austin Metro Area it will Be East of Austin like Manor,Elgin , Del Valle or Bastrop but you will most likely living in one of these towns around Austin but be driving to work in Austin how I know this is Because I have in Austin for 18 Years now

      More money in Dallas. I have lived in Austin and Dallas and there is way more wealth in DFW.

      Coppell has one of the best school districts in the state! It’s a Dallas suburb!

      As long as it’s a suburban school you should be ok. Dallas ISD is awful. Austin ISD is not bad but there are better options in Austin.

    Probably the most important factor is which city has the least homeless.

    Thanks for the informative video Dana! How are the school districts in Austin vs. Frisco ISD? And is the housing market for smaller homes as competitive as "nuclear family" sized homes?

    • @movingtotexas
      @movingtotexas  3 года назад +1

      My pleasure! For school districts Frisco is top notch and so is Eanes and Leander ISD in Austin. Both ares have many great districts to choose from 👍

    • @movingtotexas
      @movingtotexas  3 года назад

      Oh and yes it’s still really competitive for the smaller homes. Right now there’s a bit of a pull back before the spring so anytime between now and Feb would be a good time to purchase

      @@movingtotexas it was a pleasure watching you. Can you help me to choose between Austin and Dallas… home price, weather, schools to move with middle school aged children. I am currently in LA and I don’t like it here… thank you❤

    Can I say this?
    Austin is the tech center of Texas & up-coming tech center of USA!
    Dallas is the up-coming business center of USA because of it's a city closer to the geography center of USA with warm weather ( It may replace New York, Chicago which is too cold and LA which is not in USA central location. ) I remember that the reason that PGA headquarter moving to Frisco is because of its USA central location with warm weather. College football FCS championship chose Frisco for so many years is also because of its USA central location with warm weather plus convenient air traffic etc.
    ( Actually, DFW's is also a major USA tech center even though it is behind Austin in tech at this moment. It may change after DFW major research universities upgraded more in tech!)

    What you think of San Antonio or Corpus Christi??

    • @movingtotexas
      @movingtotexas  3 года назад +4

      I Love the north side of San Antonio as it borders the hill country is sooo beautiful. One of my favorite suburbs is Boerne. There's quite a few homeless at the river walk now so I'm quite sad about that. I do love that San Antonio has many activities such as Sea World and Six Flags as well as pro sports teams. It is also much less expensive than the other major metropolitan areas. I was thinking about purchasing a rental down there for that reason. Corpus Christi along the coast is beautiful!! I loved exploring the city with the views! The subdivisions didn't seem to be as well maintained as the suburbs of Austin and Dallas, even in the expensive ones, but maybe they don't have as many HOAs? Prices are great in Corpus Christi as well.

    Dallas fort worth has horrible people... people are so fake or just out right rude and mean unless they aren't from dfw. They also only care about themselves and their lives. I'm trying to move to be around good hearted ppl.

      Collin county, especially Frisco, is growing so fast ( e.g. Frisco grew from 1000-5000 residents 20 around years ago to closer to 220,000 residents now )with most residents from everywhere of USA such as California and New York. So, at least, you can live comfortable with California and New York style life in Frisco tx in 2022.

      I so agree with you. I didn't realize how the vast majority of people are so rude until recently. I'm actually thinking of moving to Austin, but I want to check it out first. Everybody has told me the people there are very friendly and much more hospitable with better drivers who aren't so mean and aggressive.

    No thanks neighter Austin or Dallas for me, Dallas is way too big, and Austin has too many san Franciscans moving in with ulterior motives to change the demographics
