Love when people are blamed. Not saying the dude wasn't toxic or anything, but I wonder what the email said. As a tank main, this match was easily winnable with just 1 hero swap. Winston instead of Dva. Winston and hammond would straight up win the match and they wouldn't even need a rein to block shatter. These are the same type of tank mains who'll go into a match and say: "I got gold medals, dps suck". Except the amount of feeding this person did on dva was ridiculous. Going after Rein instead of focusing down hammond (who'll stall the point longer), going after a Moira instead of backing off, engaging a Sym who clearly had turrets set up, diving into entire team, feeding ult and dying. But I guess it's easy to blame others.
This D.Va had major target priority problems, either flailing around wildly of trying to take the Rein in a series of 1v1 battles. Monkey would gave definitely been a better pick against the Ashe, Lucio, Sym and Moira.

Mitch L. That wouldn’t change anything most players know what they should be doing if you ask them but when they get into a game they just don’t think about it
I've seen so many main tank players making excellent space for dps who dont know how to engage from multiple angles when attacking a double barrier or an orisa frontline, or who follow the rein into a narrow choke on 2cp instead of staying at the main choke and hitting the enemy team when they're rotated
Mitch L. Maybe the Tanks should be taking multiple angles with dive tanks instead of standing at a choke. If you’re not gonna win the shield war then stop playing it.
You know I will say I have been flaming my dps when I have been getting the gold medals as a main tank but I realize from him that we should be asking the dps what is causing them to not be able to put more damage out are we not shielding them enough are we not applying enough pressure to the enemy
Well, also respect that medals are misleading. I often walk with 4 medals on Moria, but Maria's orbs hit everyone and I'll get credit for even a small tickle. Medals don't mean anything ingame

All these toxic players should look at themselves and see that it's not just your team that's always the problem. Edit:I as a player do experience healers that don't do their jobs or dps that focus tanks and feed enemy supports but that's the beauty of the game. There are perfections and imperfections and we should play with our team and try to work around those imperfections.I get that sometimes we can get mad but we are only human and we (as humans) make mistakes.
@@TheLaughinginthedark that's the most infuriating thing in this damn game that's why I barely play anymore healers are so shit, but nobody calls them out cause they're the "backbone" of the team
I don't endorse the way Doomfist is delivering his messages, even if he's right most of the time, but I can totally understand his frustration... I can't play as much as I used to play a few years ago (or else I wouldn't be silver/gold) and it's horrible to see that even if you play correctly and actually study how the game should be played (and I have to thank you for this Sty !), you can't get out of an Elo where most of the time, you got people in your team that don't know what they should do, or don't care at all :/
I'll give my two cents on the D.Va play. There was a lot of poor booster control. Yeah cc makes it hard at times but you should practice your flight until you can do whatever you want to do with no mistakes. The frantic flight paths and poorly executed dives show that you're not very comfortable with the boosters yet. Practice that and you'll be melting Symmetras and Moiras like nobody's business. Take your time in attacking the enemy. There's no need to push in if nothing has been committed into the fight. Remember, you have the ability to go anywhere. Use that to sit on high ground perches, take off-angles, poke at the enemy, then go for the kill once an opportunity presents itself. That could be a DPS that's out of position, a support that's low, a tank going aggro on your backline, etc. Also, take care of your teammates. You have a massive body and DM to use when necessary. You never helped your Doomfist despite their toxic attitude. Helping him would have made the Rein's life a living hell. If you're up for the challenge of playing D.Va, you have to use her kit effectively.
Overwatch needs a button on the hero select screen to suggest a character to the players in that role. No shield tank? Then three people hit 'We need a Reinhardt!' when they get slaughtered. Would need a spam controller like chat but would be helpful for sure.
Or - and stay with me on this - people could realize this is a team game, use the chat functions to make such requests in a respectful manner, and learn to read the situation so they themselves can see where their comp is lacking.

Biggest analysis i have for this Dva: Switch. I didn't see you do a single dive into the enemy back line this whole video. THANK....YOU. That's not even a switch. That's supposed to be your first pick. Then you can run either a hammond or a zarya* which would be preferable for the barrier*. All they were doing was feeding their brains out.
Or anything else? As a d.va main I don't play her if the enemy has a sym or Zara sigma combo. She's still a somewhat effective tank, but not against those heroes and you end up doing absolutely nothing except feed ult charge. This person should've realised that, the reason the fight was lost was because of them. The only way to climb is by flexing, not to different roles anymore, but when your hero isn't working you need to be able to play something else.
OK, just some general DVa tips from what I've seen in the video. You need to work on your aim. DVa has to use a combination of hitscan bullets and projectiles to get her dps going, and you really need to hit micro-missiles to kill stuff. Your matrix usage is a bit wonky. It's really common for DVas to spam matrix, especially when the cooldown was 1 second. You need to make sure you use matrix to eat key cooldowns, eat impossible spam to save shields and protect squishies. Break the habit of using matrix at literally everything. Next up, boosters. You seem to love jumping in, but you often end up getting lost in your own screen because you boost into an enemy and when they get bopped, you get disoriented. You can cancel boosters with melee once you're out of the initial boost animation. Not only will this add an extra 30 damage to the booster boop, but it also gives you control a lot quicker and lets your booster cooldown recharge quicker. And don't forget one reason dive tanks are used is because they control their disengage. Multiple times, you didn't fly away when you could have, and either stayed engaged (and consequently lost mech and died) or boosted towards the enemy again (and died). One last baby DVa tip is that you can ask your Mercy to damage boost you to get mech back quicker.

At this point I am siding with the doomfist though he was toxic the team had no idea what do do, dva wasn't doing anything I dunno what hammond was doing all game. The doomfist was getting picks pretty much every fight and that isn't enough if the dva is just standing around firing at barriers. I think the long queue times make DPS players really irritated when things go sideways. In all honesty, i think people like that should be perma-banned from Competitive que... They can have fun playing QP, where they belong.

So basically "Improve everything"? xD

Stop throwing.
27:50 - 28:15 Stylosa your face was priceless throughout that whole thing XD
It crushes someone to see this kind of game how down. I can relate to a degree to how this guy felt, however it just is frustrating to know your favorite hero is not working out for the team... P.S. Starlosa's facial expression after this specific player called out they had bomb was pretty bad. That is the kind of face I would make if someone was triggered and getting everyone salty about the game
I like watching the tank coaching videos because it helps improve my tank play and help me remember the little things as well
If you do quick play/Arcade things in competitive you pretty much deserve any backlash you get no matter how its delivered Especially if you're unwilling to adjust because you can literally play other modes but you came to the only mode where people are trying to play seriously and you're being goofy. People have too stop being so Soft and own up to when it's their own fault
the only other thing more toxic than this match is the out of sync audio
I logged on to get some tips on playing my favourite off tank, but instead I get told to keep playing Orisa!
At this point I am siding with the doomfist though he was toxic the team had no idea what do do, dva wasn't doing anything I dunno what hammond was doing all game. The doomfist was getting picks pretty much every fight and that isn't enough if the dva is just standing around firing at barriers.
And the problem is that he actually has good advice, and anyone with a brain would have simply muted him but then actually followed his advice from the beginning. I mean the sign of madness is to keep doing the same strategy hoping it will change. It doesn't.
I love to see you make a video on when to play certain heroes. I think it would help lower players
"He should not be playing Overwatch anymore, but he's addicted so he just keeps coming back" : Maybe describes me a little (lol).
1 of the best bronze games I've seen in a while🤣🤣🤣
I think the long queue times make DPS players really irritated when things go sideways. As a tank/support main i usually shrug the occasional loss away; especially if the team is getting rolled, its obvious there are too many things going wrong to fix in the short amount of time you have, what gets me tilted is C9s, you win the whole game then C9! We all do it, happens mostly when you are rolling the enemy... Im like "WTF man we won to lose it"
The doomfist wasn’t even being toxic he just wanted the team to play a decent comp
Overwatch is a simple game, just play who you're comfortable with
16:08 isn't wrecking ball a main tank? Does he mean a barrier tank is needed?
I have more fun watching your videos than actually playing the game lmao
21 seconds in, thumbs up already with the apt description of Doomfist players.
Yesterday I got a triple kill as baby DVA haha
Sty... please watch kill feed, the Reinhardt died literally 8-10 seconds before he threw the bomb at 11:25
Sty throwing Overanalyzed confirmed lol
Aruki Tsukaru lmaooo!
10:55 The yeet bomb got caught on the door overhang so the enemy team didn't see it and it just dropped down and exploded without warning. If they meant to do it (they probably didn't) it was actually a masterwork of a play
That guy made sense, maybe I should start listening to toxic players more.
one of us! one of us! one of us!
but yeah IMO nothing compares to the tilt of watching idiots refuse to swap when their countered by literally half the enemy team, (i've had games playing all roles where i honestly believe we would have a better chance if that player just went afk/ DC'd and stopped feeding enemy ult charge)
I always listen, i don't care if you are toxic or not... Though having said that, the Doomfist wasn't toxic, he was frustrated... And rightly so, this Dva belongs in Bronze. >_>
No mechanical skill, no game knowledge, no common sense, barely ever uses rocket barrage with Dva, doesn't listen to reason... Yeah, that's a Bronzie that got carried into Gold...
Anyways, i always listen, and ask for tips, it helps me learn, which makes me a better player.
The problem is the way they are saying it makes people not want to listen.
@@Venisor21 That's not the problem with the person speaking, that's a narcissist problem with the listener.
Strangers have no obligation to soothe your emotions... Though you DO have an obligation to do whatever it takes to win a game in OW competitive, otherwise, you will be reported for gameplay sabotage, which can result in a ban. :P
@@MyouKyuubi that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Stylosa teaching the wood tiers that Hammond is an off tank... smh.
Wait, he's not a support!?!???
I love when he says “yeeted”
This has to be the goldest of gold vods Ive ever seen
" if you see a turret, kill the turret." There has been so many times in my games that I could not express this enough if I can kill a turret across all three rolls so can other people but it seems to be difficult for people to understand.
well, their rein *was* dead when they threw the bomb onto the point the first time, wasnt he?
i honestly forgot what it’s like to have basically no queue time
Story time:
I was playing Zarya while my friend was playing sigma(both in voice chat), we were on hanamura and capped first point. He was wondering which way we should go in to the 2nd point after capping. I told him to just go down main and our team ended up rolling the enemy and capping without worry.
@20:58 "Instead, we're like 'there's Sym. Hmm... what does Sym do?'"
I once got blamed for the team’s loss with 23k healing and no fucking shields. The Hammond and the Zarya refused to switch to a shield tank. The Hammond just kept diving, not doing ANY damage, and the proceeded to get killed in their back lines
This whole team got Overwatch'd.
Shield tanks are really needed. D.va is really good as a way to separate the enemy team and is good to defense matrix while shields are down so shield tanks can put up another shield. But if you go d.va and your tank teamate cant play shield tanks as well as you switch
I feel like these videos really helped me get better!
Nobody:
Stylosa:Overwatch is easy
Everybody:AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
dva: want a shield tank?
doomfist: nah we cool
tanks: *doesn't play shields*
doomfist: uh i can't believe you've done this
Ryan Nguyen the dva said they’ll switch if they ask ? And they don’t switch
0:06 that one baby at the restaurant
I always try to pick what the team needs to win, I can't help but to be a team player. People who aren't getting anything done and don't swap are either selfish or really... ummm... "unaware" shall we say.
Oblivious? Clueless? Goddamn fucking stupid? xD
23:56 Seriously Sty, stop saying that Baby D.Va does nothing when you are commentating on a gold game. This is GOLD. If left alone, that Baby D.Va will kill something, probably a squishie.
Also, am I the only one confused by Sty constantly saying that DF was saying the right things(sometimes even just moments after Sty paused to say the exact same things), yet also treated him as a troll constantly?
I normally play a lot of Orisa, but i do enjoy rocking in with other tanks. And you know? Sometimes it works out pretty well, but if we are getting kinda slapped about through lack of shields i will default back to Orisa. because you know, even though i play for fun, doesn't mean i'm not playing to win =P
