Nick completely failed BTR. If they had actually advertised that BTR was a actual boyband from the start instead of promoting the show and only the show, then maybe their final album wouldn't have flopped hard. Especially since it was the first album to be not Nick related. Big Time Rush was legit one of the best sitcoms that Nick owned and the only successful show that didn't have Dan Schneider's name on it at the time.

i did hear that the Big time rush actually took it to court to own all of their songs as a band because wait for it they are back together as a band. and also they were playing themselves in the whole show. BTR is the best band ever.

I met the guy who played Gustavo Roque back in 2011. I was ten years old, and he was an instructor at an acting boot camp for aspiring child/teen actors I was participating in. And one day after one of our sessions, we all decided to hit the mall and go on a shopping spree. During my time there, I forgot he was famous, but as soon as he stood in line at the food court, people were crowding around him, asking for autographs and having him recite lines from the show and stuff. It was so great!

That show is GOAT-ed.It's up there among my favorite Nick shows along Drake&Josh and Zoey101 for me. Plus Ned's Declassified had a proper ending which you can't say for alot of these style of shows.

You can tell in BTR's pilot they were still trying to figure out how the show would work but it's still ICONIC and without it, we wouldn't have the band.
The pilot was totally saved when the producers decided to recast the leading man with Kendall

I am almost 30 and I've been binge-watching BTR lately. I don't care what anyone says, they had some real bangers. And I'm so glad that the band is back together!
BTR was so good. It was genuinely funny and the guys came off like actual teenage/young adult guys, unlike what you see in most of Dan Schneider's shows.

I was concerned a couple of months ago but what he said confirms my suspicions. When he was married he used to have Hus wife and dog in the cartoons now its just him. Alex makes us laugh a lot but I can't help but feel like sometimes the jokes come from a deep place of pain,like a dark humour . I'm praying for him. I hope he has someone to talk to,he's a great person. I'm surprised most people didn't pick up on that part of the video.

Actually, the show was part of their contract, and the main focus was the show, if you look up the interview with James, he says the concerts and stuff will always come after filming. Also fun fact any concert scenes in the show were most likely footage from their live concerts

This is probably the show that holds up the best from my childhood, and their music is legitimately great, and they got back together recently and its fantastic
I remember watching one episode of this when I was younger, and I recently found it on Netflix at age 18. I was only going to watch a couple minutes, but I ended up binging the entire season, including the movies.
It was so chaotic and exciting, but what really kept my attention was that it didn't have a laugh track. Love it

Also the Monkees were kind of trying to capitalize on the Beatles popularity so that’s why
I'd point out that the Monkees have some real bangers though. "I'm a Believer" is a top 100 song of all time, and "Daydream Believer" is a classic. I can't really say that BTR has the same cultural influence, but it was a great show.

I saw them in concert as a birthday present with my mom 😊💙 and she was actually shocked at how full the stadium was and how long the line was. I think people really underestimate just how big of an impact this band and show had on a generation (and Dixie was also fabulous, I enjoyed her opening way more than I thought I would)
Honestly this show was actually pretty great. It's really just a matter of switching off your brain and enjoying the stupid madness in front of you while you listen to some good music. Also it annoys me to this day that no one ever mentions that one of their songs was sung with Snoop Dogg. Or that he was also in the Christmas episode.
Big Time Rush was a true cultural reset, they basically revived the boyband scene ✨

Big Time Rush is one of the best Nickelodeon shows of all time. Kids growing up now have no idea how that show shaped 2010’s kids. Sucks what Nickelodeon has become of now.

Nickelodeon and cartoon network use to have in my personal opinion, the best shows growing up. But now- 🤦🏽♀️ it breaks my heart
The way I did not know before this show that BTR was a real band. Maybe because I was a small kid with no internet access

The best unique thing that BTR had is that instead of just using the classic crowd laughs like every other show they were using sound effects that were making the scene 10 times more emotional,funny or whatever the situation is

Might have something to do with the showrunner also making Ned's Declassified, another show that noticeably had no laugh track & was better off for it.

You don’t give BTS rush enough credit, it’s the same people who make Fairly Odd Parents and Ned’s Declassified, the comedy is not typical sitcom comedy because it’s written as if it’s a farce cartoon, and so there are a lot of visual jokes, wordplay, zand surrealist comedy, I love it and it’s not the type of comedy that only young girls like, i feel like sometimes the jokes are kinda like David zucker film jokes
