Skullcross49000 same man, saw the first one when I was 6 and now I’m 15. Call me a bitch, but I’m not afraid to say that I cried during the end. One less remaining/ongoing thing from my childhood. I’m really depressed

Same here! I remember seeing the first move in theaters when I was 7, and just seeing how fast time flew by is crazy! This series has stuck with me ever since 2010, and I'm still absolutely in love with all of it. I've read (and proudly own) all 12 books, and that's another part of the franchise, although separate from the movies, that I still love. But seeing that the trilogy is actually over after nearly 10 years is honestly just insane to think about, imo
@@carrotslayerx5241 Nothing to be ashamed of in crying! I'm also 15, and let me tell you, I really don't think I've cried harder at a movie than I did at The Hidden World. An amazing way to end such a beautiful trilogy. I thought the second movie hit home, but this one absolutely shattered me
First watched this movie at my grandma's house when I was 7 cause she said: "you like art and the boy in the movie likes to draw." I remember watching the Forbidden Friendship scene when Toothless spits out the fish and she said: "oh look he's sharing." By the end of the movie I was on the front edge of my seat and taking in every second like I was dying. I INSTANTLY became obsessed. My mom told us that there was a Christmas special and rented it from the library (loved it) and then we started watching the Cartoon Network tv show when I was 9. My sister and I would finish our homework early so we could watch it live and get really excited when there was a cliff hanger. We went to see the second movie in theaters with my neighbors and when Stoick died, I absolutely bawled my eyes out. Hardest I've ever cried in a theater (until this movie lol). Race to the Edge brought me and a from my swim team together and since season 3, we've been best friends binging every season the day they came out. The 3rd movie absolutely broke my heart. It was everything I wanted and even more. My friends and I were crying openly in a theater of kids and their parents. It was the last part of my childhood and I'm sad to see it end. These movies have made such a good childhood and given me so many friendships. So sad to see them end but so happy for what they gave me
10:27 it'll go down as a legend Mark my words I am making my future kids watch the movies and series and tell em "now THAT'S a great story" But ofc I'll make sure that they don't get to see it in one go cuz I want em to know the AGONY of waiting for the next movie or episode in general😂
this movie shouldn't be for children because this 4 year old was behind me with is dad slurrping and and saying, "Daddy why are they following that black dragon?" I was about to say take your kid back home and make him watch the other 2 movies. And when I left the theater 2 kids who where 10 where taking about when Hiccup left Toothless . They where saying, "why did he leave Toothless he is a good dragon."
i'm almost 12 and i've started watched the movies a year before the second one was released. i straight up cried in the theatre, and cried for 3 whole weeks
It’s kinda annoying, people should always watch the previous moves before seeing the 3rd, especially with HTTYD. It also ruins the experience for other fans trying to enjoy the movie
Since everyone's sort of sharing their personal experience with this film I might as well jump in. I watched the first when I came to Canada at the age of 7, and it really helped me find my purpose in this new foreign country. I felt a lot like hiccup did, misplaced sort of an outcast. But httyd helped me get on my feet. When the second came out I was 10 and felt more grounded but now the issue of who I had to become was on my mind (I'm an old soul lol) I saw hiccup and how he dealt with loss and then looked back at the first to show me that I had to change the world for the better, defend those who can't defend themselves. I really wanna be an environmental lawyer of sorts. The whole franchise means so much to me because it has been a guiding light for me my entire life and I saw it two days ago (March 1st) I cried before for about 3 minutes and after for like 6 hours. Not during the movie tho, I was sort of having trouble breathing during the goodbye scene and really the entire movie. I couldn't fathom a world without them, my self-identity went away faster then I could say "don't leave me". I'll miss you my boys thank you for making me who I am. I'm happy you got the ending you deserve.
I watched How To Train Your Dragon in theatres in 3D, I was 8 at the time and was in awe with it. I rewatched it to the point where my mother try and hide the movie because she was tired of it, but in a way I found it again and 2014 I was so heartbroken by Hiccup losing his father and it was amazing movie, and How To Train Your Dragon 3, was just heartbreaking and wholesome..I turned 17 yesterday but goddamn the movie was so good but it really broke my heart, it felt kind of like a marvel universe movies in a way. Thank you Dreamworks 🙏❤️😭
Saw the first movie when I was 7 and now, 10 years later, I see the final and I'm really happy that I have been able to grow up with these movies. I loved all of the movies, smaller tv shows and series that followed. I loved how the relationships in the movies evolved and became something like how Hiccup and Astrid started by not knowing each other but later fell in love. Thank you Dean DeBlois for making such a fantastic universe wich fulfilled my childhood. Thank you!
*Everybody in the comments is sharing their stories on how they were introduced to HTTYD, so lemme share mine:* *_I originally watched this in theatres when I was 4 or 5. I fell in love with the movie and when I got it on DVD, I’d watch it non stop. As I got older, I liked the movies but wasn’t a hardcore fan, meaning I’d watch the movies and just think “aw that’s cute”, but that’s all. Recently, once the trailer for the third movie got released, I actually became more interested and once I rewatched the series, I absolutely fell in love. Basically this trilogy had a big impact on my life, as well as growing up. Hopefully HTTYD will return someday so I can share it with my future friends and family. :D_*
Jack Berson id love to see a short that extends the last scene of the movie, them interacting and maybe the other dragon riders seeing their dragons again
I don't really know, It ended on a good note, and it really wrapped everything up. I'm sure there will be a show or something, but I feel like this series got its well deserved rest. HTTYD 2010-2019
ITzYeBoi Michael there won’t be another one sadly the creator of how to train your dragon confirmed hidden world will be the last movie installment of the franchise
There will be a new series set between the second and third films, so while the main sequence films are done, there is still more story to be told. And here's the deal. Plot-wise, Berk knows where the Hidden World is. It isn't sealed up. So the separation between Berk and the Dragons is more of mutual choice than anything else. So technically, there could be a 4th movie or at least another series that takes place AFTER the Hidden World. Not holding my breath for it, but the way the third film was written left a door open for other possibilities. HTTYD has been one of Dreamworks' most well-received IPs. Sure, they have others and will introduce more, but there is money to be made from stories about Dragons and our favorite Vikings of Berk. It is only a matter of time before they decide to cash in on that. It is, at the end of the day, all about the money.
@@Mr_Roofed I believe so. Haven't really looked into the details, but Race to the Edge was very well executed, and it completed the bridge between HTTYD1 and 2 well enough that you could finish RTTE and go right on to HTTYD2.
