I love this stuff personally. Very slick and reasonably durable. The shine deepens over the next 24 hours. Drawbacks, it’s a little expensive and it smells horrible. Good video.
It's way cheaper on Amazon if you get the gallon. It's like 25 bucks for 16 oz or 50 bucks for a gallon. That makes it cheaper than the Adams mega foam, you could wash your car with the stuff lol
@@koreywilliams4570 bro stop buying them. I went to autozone 30 minutes before closing and stole the whole set. Just walk out. This is bidens America , you can do anything you want
I think it smells great, love the shine it gives to my e63 amg. Im a fan, and frankly I did not expect it to last 3 washes (that was my thinking when I bought it). Seeing this review makes me happy I picked the right stuff for my car. Im impressed.
Great video...and I do agree that Chemical Guys does seem to saturate the market with so many products that seem similar...but having said that I do use and love so many of their products..
I like this product, I know its just more of a quick detailer, honestly I didn’t even think it hold that long of a torture test. I’m quite surprised on it.
I like that👍 Awesome quick detailer for Sunday night drives in the city.. the lights really show off the gloss!! The gloss is INSANE at night.. don't know what is is about it..just try it😎
Personally if you’re willing to go to such lengths for your car I’d say just go all out and get yourself some Adam’s ceramic coating and apply that, then for quick details, use nexgen ceramic detailer. It has a 12-13% sio2 content. That paired with the 10h hardness from Adam’s and the superior sio2 content from nexgen should keep your car perfectly protected for YEARS. And for less the price than a detailing at your local detailer.
Looks like a great product for a quick detailer! I might have to pick up a bottle of this next time I need a quick detailer. I personally love using quite a few of Chemicals Guys' products. Diablo Wheel Gel is my favorite wheel cleaner believe it or not because it's PH neutral so works perfectly on my well maintained rims that I have protected with Fusso Coat topped with Turtle Wax Seal & Shine. Another is their Leather Serum along with a lot of their soaps and foaming soaps. Their grit guard is one of the best out there in design with a unique conical design that really holds the grit and grime UNDER the grit guard and they cost a measly ten bucks! Far better than the original grit guards that allow dirt to flow right back up past the wide grates. If a person is just getting into detailing and are looking for a "one-stop" shop for all their detailing needs, I steer them towards Chemical Guys because they are at least a notch above what you can get at most retail stores. It's a great "entry" company in my opinion. A lot of pro's and enthusiasts bash on Chemical Guys, but they really do have some good products. It's just confusing to traverse through their extensive range and you almost need a roadmap because many of their products seem to be rebranded as something else or a different color or whatever. But when you get past all that, they do have some good ones. Not everything, but quite a few are really good. Their retail stores in California are really cool. I am like a kid in a candy store in that place. This particular quick detailer looks to be pretty stout for what it is. A lot of detailers can't stand up to any chemicals and wash right off so the fact this quick detailer held up to all the abuse Brian gave it is pretty impressive. It outperforms a lot of other quick detailers I have used.
You’re right. I originally bought a ton of chemical guys products only to realize they overlap in usage. I have sold many of them and narrowed down to just a few keepers. I’m happy with chemical guys products…just didn’t need a different hydro product for every part of the car. Hydro speed covers everything needed for basic maintenance.
Great review as always Brian, thanks. Chemical Guys sure do have a confusing lineup of paint protection, definitely saturated. I do really like their VRP for my tires. Water based, not too glossy and lasts a couple weeks here. Wouldn't even know where to start with paint protection from them though.
Thanks for the great information. When you rate a new product, could you please mention how it compares to your top-rated product in the same category? I have used your ratings in the past to select new products and have always been happy with the results.
It seems as though this product is fairly good as a quick detailer like you mentioned. My one complaint with chemical guys is the one recent incident that I had with their water spot remover. I watched several videos on how remove water spots and in was those videos, the consensus was that chemical guys orange gel was best. Well, that wasn't the case for me. It didn't remove not even one water spot. Being that I value your honest opinion, I decided to see how you could advise me on correcting this issue without taking my car to a professional. I watch your video on the 3d one polish and it totally and completely corrected all of the water spots. I reached out to chemical guys but to this day, they have not responded. For that reason I won't use any of their products. But I would like to tank you Brian for your video on 3d one. I reached out to also thank 3d one. I'd like to add that I corrected the spots with the only thing That I had, a harbor freight bauer dual action polisher. Which made me wonder....do you really need a expensive polisher?? How long it will last, who knows. Thanks again.
Hi Brian I was just wondering in your opinion I use megs cpress spray wax as drying aid and ultimate paste wax when i have time other wise I use there fast finish bought few cans when saw for 5 bucks while back I was intreasted in turtle wax line up flex wax if it's similar I'll just stick with what I am using. Just wondering would i be getting any more life outta newer cermic based products
Love the comment about 15 products that does the same thing. I have thought the same. They make too many products that make black vinyl and rubber blacker.
I've noticed a lot of people don't like chem guys just because of the marketing. Has nothing to do with the actual performance of the product just how they market it. Personal I don't think the prices are that far off from any other similar products as long as you avoid the gimmicky stuff. Keep it simple and don't go overboard.
Hi Brian love your channel but i have one concern about this 10wash test. It will only be a mechanical stresstest so you could use just regular soap. If it shall simulate 10 real washes the product must be on the panel for more than 10 seconds before being washed off. Because when you shampo your car the solution is on the panel/panels much longer maybe 2-8minutes? So you should leave it for some minutes in between. But i understand the test will take much longer time. Thanks
I see you're using Ardex New Wave. I love Ardex products. Mostly because that's what I detailed with 20 years ago. Always got stellar results with their products. I really like their OK Green as a mild cleaner. New Wave is more alkaline.
Chemical Guys? Who da thunk it! Not me! It sure did last longer than some of the more costly QED'S. I have a few of their cleaning products and Silk Shine. I'm curious to know what was your deciding factor for trying out this QD? I'm impressed for sure. Thanks Brian!
There a few products from them we wouldn’t mind trying but not being able to buy stuff like this in gallons and/or 5 gals make it a no go for us, can you imagine if us pros had to buy everything in 16oz bottles all the time… that would straight take a big ass bite out of profits
My truck is tuxedo black and for me the v07 just doesn’t do well, doesn’t last and everything seems to stick to it. Can’t think of the name but the purple quick detailer works better for me than v07. I’ve been using this hydro speed lately tho and it’s my favorite so far. Works super well. I’ll go ahead and buy the gallon as soon as i run out.
Yes! Thank you Brian,I bought some of this last year and had excellent results with it's hydrophobicity, slickness and gloss! Chemical Guys has hit and miss products and to me this was a hit!! It's very versatile,I have used it over waxes, sealants and no protection with no fuss. The longest it lasted was on my car overtopping the hydro slick and it lasted around 9months before it's properties were diminished. I got around 4 months as a standalone on the paint. On my windshield and other's I applied it to though it lasted well over the year mark with no problem.. It was weird to me professional detailers haven't done thorough review on it yet.. I feel it's great for anyone wanting some protection and having no worry over applying or removing it,it also seems to layer decent without streaks. I appreciate your input and video on it. My biggest gripe with this is the price for 16 ounces, although it's much cheaper in a half gallon. Thank you!

Chemical Guys, the more adjectives on the label the better it must be
Or the easier it is for dummies to understand

Phoenix EOD Titan.
When using these spray ceramic/graphene products/boosters/toppers what should you do with your towels? Does it leave any chemical behind on the rag??
No, I use this product all the time. I just wash and reuse my towels
Wash them immediately and re use.
Is this glossier than tec582?
It is not.
I will stick with Tuttle Wax Hybrid Solution Ceramic Wet Wax, I just use it as drying aid it will do the trick better than that.
