Absolute classic reaction, Mike! This takes me back!! This band was a side project for Scott Ian, Charlie Benante (guitarist and drummer of Anthrax), Dan Lilker ( bass for Nuclear Assault), and Billy Milano (vocalist for M.O.D.). This album is legendary cult status. Many of the riffs were used in intros for MTVs late night metal show, the Headbangers Ball.
@@onsesejoo2605 - back when dinosaurs ruled the earth, a band I was in opened for Nuclear Assault (and a shitload of other bands from that era, actually). It was a great time to be in a band that did this type of music...
Just saw Exodus, Black Label Society, and Anthrax (Scott Ian of S.O.Ds main band). Exodus and Anthrax KILLED IT. Scott Ian still has it, he still does that circular stomp technique, super infectious energy live.
4:27 I miss the old days where you could get away with audience interaction like that. Band members jumping in the crowd or the band letting a bunch of people on stage. You don't see stuff like that anymore and IMO it all ended when that POS that will remain unnamed murdered one of the greatest metal guitarists in history. R.I.P. Dime. 😪
Unfortunately this band would be canceled today faster than a network TV pilot. I had the fortune of seeing them live when they reunited over a decade ago. One of the greatest shows I've ever seen 🤘🤘
Hell yeah!! Saw them in Indianapolis and Cincinnati on the Bigger than the Devil tour. Got Billy's autograph and my picture with him out front by their bus!🤘🤘🤘
@@kipdrippers unfortunately I don't think they will anytime soon. Billy and Scott have been going at it with each other for quite awhile now. I would love to go see them live 1 more tome though. And it has to be all 4!! Billy, Scott, Charlie and Dan.
They were definitely good live. And to make such an impact with a 23 minute album says a lot; there's a reason their songs were intro and commercial break in/out for MTv's Headbanger's Ball.
Awesome seeing a reaction to this! I was at that show, "Live At Budokan", Ritz theater...Morbid Angel and Agnostic Front opened for them. Never will i forget looking up and then seeing 300+ lbs of fire plug diving off that speaker.. lmao..Most insane mosh pit. If this album was recorded today, it would be canceled out the ass. Lol
I'm took back to the late 80s with S.O.D - this shit was always playing on something back then. Hard as hard, a fast dirge, chromatic death. In the pit, you were getting a bloody nose regardless. Thanks for this!!
Watching Billy speaker dive after seeing him straight pick up a 6’3 man and throw him off stage like a baby in another live performance makes me chuckle😂😂he in fact is NOT a little dude😂😂😂💀
Dude... You rule. Thank you for stirring up so many fond memories. I just want to have a beer with you and make music. What is our band name going to be?
I don't watch reaction vids much i got a kick out of this one. I was a teenager and youtube was still new, when i first saw this live SOD vid. You and I pretty much had the same reactions😅
Yes, you are the only channel that reacts to good music and performance(s). Every other one I have seen they react to already heavily reacted to songs. Like they are too lazy to wade in the deeper water. Kudos!
S.O.D. and M.O.D. need to release a combo album called “the anti woke album” and have classics like A.I.D.S and spandex enormity on it..all their classics that would offend young people these days
This was good. Was there. Saw all of it. That was the 80's. Even most hockey players didn't wear helmets or masks. Slayer though... Wow? That was a different beast altogether. Go in the pit, badges of honor for the day? Blood, broken noses, and other parts. Knivesn guns? You got a coat check ticket. So you could pick up your weapons at thee enddd of the show!

Dan BRUTAL TRUTH
And Dan Lilker was the bassist for Anthrax before getting replaced with Frank Bello.

you covered everything i was gonna post. it was such a great time to be a teenager in the punk scene
@@atheistpeace7579 metal scene too....
Can you imagine seeing Billy diving off that speaker right onto you??? LOL!!!
Sergeant D is coming and you're on his trajectory! Real fking fast and hard too :D
i would be dead!
I'd have to excuse myself, go to the bathroom, and clean out my shorts.😂
BIlly weighed close to 300 pounds at the time.
"He'll put gas on your kids, then throw'em a match
He'll park the car over grandma, and disect her cat"
hehehe! gotta love S.O.D.!!!
One of the best guitar riffs of all time.
S.O.D (Stormtroopers of Death) and M.O.D (Method of destruction) was 2 of my fav bands to headbang to when i was in a crunchy mood back in the 90' :)
You are the only channel that reacts to good songs and not the same old stuff rehashed over the last 3 years
Just saw Exodus, Black Label Society, and Anthrax (Scott Ian of S.O.Ds main band). Exodus and Anthrax KILLED IT. Scott Ian still has it, he still does that circular stomp technique, super infectious energy live.
Your now an official s.o.d fan now mate love from England 😂

@@randywissler9923 absolutely it wouldn’t be the same without billy but there is still hope
This Jam completely melted my entire face all the way off when I first heard this in 86!!
“Speak English or Die”
👊

I met Billy at a show in Oakland 89, bought him a beer, it was one heck of a show.
It's funny you said"chromatic". They have a song called Chromatic Death 👀
Hilarious reaction LMAO! Best riff ever! Long live Sgt. D and the SOD! Subbed
I forgot about dude jumping off the speaker but the reaction Mr Mike was classic 😂
After diving off the speak the singer doesn’t miss a beat. Still sings his part without missing a lyric
Your best reaction yet to an old crazy classic when music was real.
“...when music was real”
Post of the Day 🥇
Mr. PRODUCER I have a new level of respect for you Sir. Love it
Brutal and cruel song, my favorite since 1985
Man, it's the ultimate riff! And the ultimate stage dive (bombing ) too :D
Best live album ever by far.
When. I first saw this and he dived off that speaker I as like OMG WAHT THE?!!" LOL Awesome show.
EPIC Billy Milano!!! Great Reaction!!
Scott Ian's guitar tone on the album is imo the best heavy tone ever recorded.

Great reaction. Been loving this album since the 80”s!!
Hahaha, your reaction is great! SOD has been one of my favorite babds since the 80s.
You had me busting up!!
Trust me my man, when Billy dove off the stack, there was NO WAY any of the crowd was gonna let him hit the floor!!!
Dude I betcha the guy who got knocked in the head with the mic was like, "AWESOME! I got hit on the head by Mike!!!"
The shows was on another level back in the days
Been waiting for someone to react to this.
One person did a reaction to this performance a year ago. This guy is the second person to react to it.
I can see why some weren't that over the Moon with Slipknot. This matches easily to them.
Exactly why i never bothered with Slipknot too much im a S.O.D and M.O.D, Sodom fan more....Also early Sepultura With Max and Igor
Damn, why is the audio so much heavier on this reaction than the actual original?

ME TOO :)
Im not so sure that Me Too is that great of a band name...
I saw then live -99 here in Finland and I was so sad Billy didnt jump :)
Bruh, your reaction got me dying over here lol!
Awesome!!! 😀 👍
love this song!!! and this vid.
legendary!
HEADBANGERS BALL!!
That stage dive was done by a 300lb guy who was a bouncer before getting recruited to sing. Billy don’t play
man, I've seen some higher monitor diving than that. haha, it was a reg happening back then. just nuts.
The best anthem EVER
Check out Fishbone, (UGLY, Ma & Pa, etc) members of their band were known to launch of speakers.
The Slayer style song 'Seasoning The Obese' is great🤘
Yeah, Billy Milano is a special type of person, isn't he?
Welcome to NYC Hardcore
Fuck yeah billy
Your knocking sound effect made me think of something. Please review Constipation Blues by Screamin' Jay Hawkins.
S.O.D. 🤘😎🤘 #NYHC #THRASH
Billy is real af.
Your into is very creative.

I've seen Eddie Vedder jump off of stuff so high up that you would've thought that you've just seen him die .
Eddie isn’t 300lbs plus.
6:08 ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bill doesn't care. Anthrax nuclear assault and mod. Sod is one of the best bands
😂h Hell No 🎤 in the head

Stompers of death!!
🤘👀🤘
See some of us white boys know how to move right 👍😂
they don't make 'em like Milano anymore! :D
now thats a way to start a show - little bit risky though, the show could end in the first track if nobody catches you after this stagediving
oh, the irony
🤘🏾😈🤘🏾
Who says, "White men can't jump!" 😄
Thi is the real deal
I love metal to bro but that s*** is crazy dude diving off that s***
