I audibly laughed when Demko held Garland up when he jumped into him after the shootout.
Gotta love this man. He’s looking and sounding A LOT like a Burrows kind of work horse for our team… and Burrows was always my favourite to watch. If he keeps this up and sticks around for another 4-5 years, I may pick up his jersey. 🍻

@@justingelinas6881 🤦🏻 You do realize that with as many players as there have been in the history of the NHL, there is no truly unique play style anymore. He definitely reminds me (and others I have talked to) of Alex Burrows in his heyday. Just because I say he’s showing the same drive, attitude, and skill as someone else, that doesn’t take away anything from how good he is playing nor dishonours him in any way. 🤦🏻

He’s much more dynamic than burrows. Almost like a Marchand but without the dirty side.
I never even heard of him or remember him in any highlights before coming to Vancouver. He's such a good player.

I had in my hockey pool last year and came in 2nd I was well aware of him and excited when got Garland.

@@GateKeeper36 Only 3 or 4 years but he went on a hot streak last year him and Robertson almost got me a championship but first place had McDavid could never gain much ground on him.
I laughed when he said he never talks. He proceeds to talk to every player on the ice.

Garland's my new favourite Canuck. Growing up I loved Cliff Ronning because of his small size, soft hands, playmaking abilities and toughness. Garland's the new version of Cliff Ronning!! Truly awesome!

I feel it should be pointed out that Garland has said on both After Hours and Spittin Chiclets that he hates the "elf" nicknames and short jokes in general. Out of respect for him I feel as though Canucks fans should not make those jokes, and maybe come up with a nickname based on his skills on the ice, instead of his stature.

I wonder if he knows Charlie Coyle well... their home towns are practically right next to each other. Do they skate together in the off-season?
