Wow...i just came to this video by accidents but man, i am really happy i found it ! The scenario is not original but how it is filmed, it's taking, almost like if you were with this survivor. And the songs are just great, I actually don't see things like this a lot in youtube so it was damn refreshing :)

Eriti hästi läks peale too flashback kus Sherman oli kose juures.
Kahju küll, et kõik nii lühikeseks jäi. Kindlasti tahaks tulevikus näha täispikka filmi mis võtab aset samas universumis.

At first I was very skeptical about the movie, looking at the contentious things that they had done on their youtube. It does not sound bad. But the impression was that you would not be able to really make such a serious movie.
Now after viewing, I'm glad I was wrong.
There were a lot of scenes in the film that stretched the horns upright. The music selection was very good. The most favorite places were those where flashbacks arose when listening to this diary. Sherman was particularly impressive when it came to flashback.
Unfortunately, everything was so short. Definitely would like to see a full-length movie in the future that takes place in the same universe.
      English just in case

Really great short film, though I want to give some criticism as well. The music was too loud at some parts and I couldn't hear the dialogue and I had to control the volume all the time but that was it, everything else was great, loved the camera shots and the scenery was stunningly beautiful, just as the title says. I loved the choice of music and acting was done really well. Can't finish this review without mentioning the story. I really fell in love with this story and felt as if I was stuck in the bunker. Ending was also thrilling, because you left just enough room for the viewer to think their own ending. Definitely the best short film, I've ever seen (Y) Good job ;)

***** Thank you! Just so you know: The music wasn't "chosen", but was composed by a fellow RUclips musician named Ross Bugden ;) I have no idea why the music volumes were off on your end, the sound was produced by a top notch, professional sound production company in Estonia named Film Audio. It has been great everywhere so far. The music has been designed to sort of take over the dialogue in some parts, maybe that's what you mean.

I stumbled uppon Ross Bugden's channel a while back and listened to some of the musics used in the film's soundtrack (which is absolutely fenomenal in my opinion) which got me here.
I clicked the annotation to the film just to check it out and, honestly, I wasn't expecting it would be nearly as good as it was. The filming, the acting, the soundtrack (again, great choice of music), the ambience, everything, gave this apparently generic apocalyptic scenario, an unique feel. If have to complain about something it would be the dreams, which, for me, felt a little out of place.
Again, great work and I hope you keep it up :)

Question: why didn't he close the door behind him locking the creature out? The vents were mostly rusted and the whole thing was loose.
Great Idea leaving the monster to the viewers' imagination.
Ending was a little off -- just with them looking at each other -- I was waiting for the monster to pull him down.

That was stunning. I can't say enough good things about this movie. Absolutely everything was well executed. The story and tone were perfect. The tension, fear, hope, and message were in harmony. The truth was spot on. The sense of death in the dead man was palpable. Even the flashlight was elevated almost to the status of a character. I didn't really need to see the actor's wiener, but okay, whatever. I get why that seemed appropriate. Well done, folks.

And learn how to make ammo...you can probably exchange that for just about anything in the post apocalyptic future. Oh, have backup batteries for your flashlights and a charger for your watch. And have more than 1/10 of a canteen of water. Apparently, even people dying of thirst don't get chapped lips in the future.

Bravo awesome terrific story great script great acting. Amazing cinematography I love the locations or whatever you did to make this fantastic beautiful video! The lighting and having the poorly-lit bunker was terrific no monster showing up just a horrible sound which would frighten anyone yet you weren't sure what was there as a viewer if there was supposed to be a monster or was there a true exit that he couldn't see and there was simply a crew outside the door because crows and magpies make those sounds quite intriguing until the end when you found out it was a real monster I like that that we didn't see the Monster but it was real but I guess it was monsters that unfortunately caused the apocalypse who knows everybody wants it to be aliens sorry it's going to be a virus it's always is. the Dead Guy made you feel horrible I felt sorry for him. The whole story was just fantastic I didn't know how he was going to get through that vent when he got to the top but I knew he'd tear his body through it if he had to once you're seeing daylight that close you can get yourself through it and then a lovely lady shows up that's just even better. Thanks for making a really Pleasant post-apocalyptic movie this could have really been a full length movie showing the intersection of these three people their lives as they come towards this most beautiful day the young man trapped not able to make it the young man walking in hopefully to live and the young girl deciding that she's going to take that road also and luckily does not open the door but instead hear someone calling for help

Garrett Stopmotionandpranks Thank you Garrett, it means alot to me to read comments like yours. I'm afraid this film might be too niche to reach a million views...but who knows. ***** Yeah, no problem, and do not doubt yourself, even if this does not reach a million, you can look back at any time and say that you worked on this. Thats exactly what I want to do as well. Its my dream to have produced a large reel of films that take people away to another world for a while, and then be able to re watch them and enjoy them myself. Im thinking of doing a film studio in the future with a buddy, and If we ever got big I would love to work with you and collaborate on some really awsome films.

Hi Einar, that was a cracking short film. Ticks all the boxes for me. A colleague and I are currently writing our first short film together and we've been scouring RUclips for about a month. Everyday, sending each other links, commenting on what we would do differently, trying to learn what makes a good film work and what doesn't and not finding anything that really carries itself well from start to finish. The Most Beautiful Day stands apart. Not much i would've changed personally. Well done, I hope you are all extremely proud of what you have accomplished. Would love to chat to you more about it. Sai.

    • @EinarKuusk
      @EinarKuusk  8 лет назад +1

Hi Sai, thank you so much. What I learned from making this was how important story is, which I feel is the weakest part of this film because when I started making it, I was concentrating more on my vision, rather than telling a good story. But then again, for each their own - some people like this kind of visual experience that leaves alot to guess for the viewer. I was very proud of the outcome and hope others were aswell. But it's been a long time and I have put it past me, all I can think about now is what my next film will be and try to work on that. Would love to chat Sai, you can add me on Facebook (just search my name) or on Skype (same thing). Peace!

Hands down üks parimaid lühifilme mida ma näinud olen. :D Einar my man!

I realized that I haven't commented here, although I was pretty certain that I clicked on that "post" button... I feel bad for it, since I contributed to this film as a vocalist... Ahem, anywho!
This movie was such a thrill to watch. From amazing special effects to fantastic acting, from breathtaking shots to heartfelt story... I absolutely enjoyed this!! Seriously Einar, this was beautiful to watch!
Also, Ross Bugden really outdid himself here. It's not easy to score for a movie and for a first, he really did an amazing job. I still listen to his music from time to time.
To everyone involved in the making of this movie... Seriously, great job and congratulations! :D

Jayhan Thank you so much! I worship your voice. Every time I play the music to someone or show the film, I wait for that cue where your vocals come in and just enjoy the emotional rollercoaster the viewer/listener is most probably having :D I truly feel spoiled from you lending us your voice! Until next time?

    Kokkuvõtlikult - Üle ootuste.
Teades millised Eesti lühifilmide standardid on olin ma väga skeptiline.
    11/10
Kõik mida ühest heast lühifilmist ootaks.
