Back in like 2018, Drepz was buying a Dragon Lore from me, and he accidentally sent me like 100 keys too many, so I sent them back (which was uncommon then especially) and we became friends. He is one of the most genuine people I've met in this scene, top notch guy.

He wasn’t in a place where he had to sell the howls, but a complete set of kato 14 stickers is insane, and arguably a better investment.
He got a decent price on the katos, so even though he “lost money” on the howls, bro is doing just fine with what he traded them to buy.
I literally watched bro grow from like a $600 inventory to a quarter million in a few years
He absolutely did the right thing, having to eat your pride sucks but keeping a dud investment is a much worse decision.

I remember when cs2 beta dropped n everybody and their mother was going crazy about "investment" opportunities, Fano kept talking about 2021 mouz holo's. Even citing exclusive investment groups that required at least 50k worth of them to even join, and everybody in these groups was "long term" investors. Needless to say, they were around 120-140 at the time, and then valve dropped almost the same exact sticker for the next 2 majors and the stickers are worth like $20 or less now.

Bought a Bayonet literally before CS2 was officially announced for 350. Sold it for 750 right after the official announcement, its now back to 450-500.
I sold basically my whole inventory on Steam Market in August-September of 2023, and I bought Steam Deck with just adding like 10$ to my balance. Most of that were items that gained value over like 4-6 years, but nothing special. My best item was Dick Stacy 2019 sticker, and after that a bunch of cases I purchased when they were like $0.25 and lower.
This makes me feel better about how down my paris investments are.... tbf I knew I was taking the risk of valve copy pasting again but I thought they would go with good holo stickers bc the community had been crying about not getting them.
It at least helped my dh holo collection keep good value tho so ig I'm evenish

I started watching your vids in 2019 I think, I ended up spending 600 cad on some skins, now my one knife is floating around that value. Only 2 skins I bought have gone down thankfully. Just wish I would have bought a matching pair of gloves for my knife at the time

RMR 2020 was my worst investment i made I lost about $150 from that one. I feel like the boat to sticker capsule investing and making a profit is dead because too many people invest now and the sales last too long creating too much supply that far exceeds demand. I just buy new stickers now for play skins on the cheap if they look good

I lost money when the rental system was implemented for the kilowatt case, the price of those skins keeps going down massively after it. I mean, I expected it to happen but the day valve brought that update... man, I lost a ton of money... So yeah, if you invest in skins you gotta get used to valve releasing some new "cool" feature" that actually changes the game, like the new recent 10-day trade-lock, cause that's what it is essentially. If you plan to invest on skins I'd warn you to start small and be patient and prepared to lose. It takes a long time to actually get good at this and know all the tricks, but those can go overnight as remember, it's Valve who owns this circus, I have to say it again, Valve. Be extremely careful. Fortunately I did recover and I'm still investing but yeah, it's not a win-win, rather, a win & lose every now and then.
I unboxed a MW Pandoras Box gloves and sold them for like 5k at the time was the high. now they're like 12k. Also had a dozen butterfly knife dopplers and fades and other expensive finishes and sold them for $700ish now they're at least doubled.

The guy with the howls make a huge mistake. Long term investments arent a measly couple of months.. it’s measured in years. FN Howls will absolutely go up. Selling all 15 at $4000 each is pretty desperate.

I don't have big money to put into it but I have made a fair share of crappy CS2/CSGO investements my self. Also some amazing ones but mostly crappy ones. Most recently I bought about 100 anibus packages last year along with a few Anubis collection skins. It was looking good for a couple of months but now they're still in the store and probably will be until anubis is taken out the map pool.
I trusted my gut anyways when buying a ton of revolver case and so did you !

im investing in dream cases and my trick is basically make profit with tf2 items and stink some refined metal into the cases this way i dont spend real money i just invest with my own profits from another game so i make this
every 2 keys of profit 1 key is used for 2 cases but since is hard people trading cases for tf2 metal i have to wait on trade servers

It's baffling to me that someone who has made so much money off of skins and doesn't understand the basics of investment. You don't lose money man.
If you've sold and got profit, then it's a good trade. No one can read the future. Sometimes you need to take profits and use them to reinvest or do other things, you can't hold forever just in case your stock/items gain value....

I actually sold all my inv (only kept the flashbang dance music kit) when cs2 launched knowing people was hyped as fuck and theres almost a 100% probability that the skyrocketed prices would eventually drop either because people realized that they shouldnt be paying that much for the same skins as 2 months prior or because the new engine would drop new skins that would destroy the value of the old ones, i think i only lost money in the awp duality because i bought it when the case droped (bad idea i know) but i also had a deagle bronce deco tier 1 pattern that got highly buffed in cs2 and was holding a awp containment breach that nearly quadrupled his price lol (and from what i see it still in the 300-400 idk why, it was a 100-200 for years WTF)

Still cant believe how hard valves fucked cs2 skins. I recently picked up cs2 again and all the metallic and pearlescent skins just dont shimmer anymore. Absolutely dumb shit from valve. Some skins look worse or on par with csgo now.
