The Bambino is actually a Thermojet pump so there is only a 3 second wait time between extraction and steaming milk. 😉

Wendy and Neil, when is your comedy show being released? 😅
You guys are great, made me laugh while giving us a good comparison. 👍🏻

But Bambino brews at 9 bar pressure so it good for non pressurized baskets, if Dedica really does at 15 bars, it's impossible to pull a good shot on a non pressurized basket. Also Bambino has adjustable pre-infusion. I think Bambino wins by a lot. You just get more. p.s. I can't believe you didn't taste clean espresso shots without milk and compare the tastes....Wasn't this the point of the review...

We actually did taste the shots....but it got lost on the editing floor. Overall they were almost identical in taste. Both performed well.

If you are really into coffee and want loose your money for later upgrade to Breville buy Delongi! Keep in mind you date your machine marry your grinder. A good espresso capable grinder is a must.

😂😂the 15 bar are the pump pressure, the pressure of the extraction is 10bars

No-one that has seen the Red Dwarf comedy would want a coffee machine named SMEG.

was the delonghi porta filter locked in fully seems like it could go a bit further?

I can. They didn’t turn it all the way. I own that machine so I’m confident that it could and it should have gone a bit further.

Although bambino is an entry level home appliance espresso machine but obviously built on a more professional espresso machine structure like its older brothers. Dedica on the other hand is built totaly home applience level. Not mentioning 54mm vs 51mm totally off size portafiter!

They both pour much better shots when using bottomless portafilters with non pressurised baskets especially the Delonghi Arte 😊

Grind size really will change with each bean. Each bean needs to be dialed in. For this we used a Baratza Sette I believe.

I just got the Delonghi Arte for $155 open box and wanted to update because I did more searching for Breville Bambino but could not find it for cheaper than $225. If I was gonna go over $200 I would just bump to the Gaggia. But really the win for the Arte is the size and footprint. Yes its an appliance but it does a GREAT job. I had the previous version and it was a beast. Saying that these machines are comparable is not accurate. Price point in reality is totally different. But I guess if you’re only going by new price then they are closer. Which also means Breville holds its value better too, so I guess it just depends on if you got the extra loot up front.

Not a very constructive comment, Bob Cat. De’Longhi & Breville are both fantastic brands and they stand behind the products they manufacture. There’s a place for both machines, and it’s ultimately up to the customer to decide which one is best for them. Great comparison video, ECS!

@@ecscoffeeinc Add a little more to get the Gaggia Classic Pro. Then all accessories that one buys can still be used when one upgrades later.
If one is on a very tight budget, might as well just get the Stilosa for about $100 and just use pre-ground coffee with the pressurized basket.

If he is into espresso only and already have a good grinder then I suggest the Flair Pro 2.
If he doesn't have a good grinder already then I suggest Flair Classic + JX Pro hand grinder.
If he does drink milk based drink, he can use a french press to froth milk .. just search youtube for them. Even if he doesn't have a french press already, they are pretty cheap.
Alternatively, if he is handy, he can look into used market for the Gaggia Classic Pro.

@@La_La_La3 Thank you so much for helping me, I am lost in all that. What I mean is that my son has the Breville barista pro at home, so I am using it. But the things is, he is moving this month and I will miss that good espresso, so I am looking to own a espresso machine but don't know what to buy that will be as good but on a low budget 😉 I love making my coffee now 👍 We have a Keurig with cups but 😬 that is my husband choice, since making espresso coffee every morning, I felt in love with espresso and making it too. I don't have equipment.. Just a cheap little grinder that I bought 10 years ago at like 10$ and I don't think that this is good. Thanks for helping, I appreciated ! So I am at square zero with espresso coffee when my son move this month 😛 Sorry hope you understand my bad english 😉

I got so confused about the grind. Too fine it might stuck etc 🫣

    • @ecscoffeeinc
      @ecscoffeeinc  2 года назад +1

Think of baby powder and pebbles. If the grind is too fine (like baby powder) then the water can't pass through. If it is too coarse, like pebbles, it will come through too quickly and have no taste.
