- In this video you will find tips to using a slat mill properly... Also things to look out for. Not all slat mills have this issue but most of the older ones/models like this mill do. Any ?s feel free to contact me and if you liked this video don’t forget to hit the like 👍
2:28 "i thought it will break but that didn't break, and trust me that will hart why? Because I know" you are a leggend bro.
A simple fix for the pinch spots is to put and old treadmill belt on the slats.
The pinch points are out there on purpose
“Why cause I know” Enough said. 👍
I am in the process of designing and welding up a slatmill for our 3 Pitties. 1 - 8 year old male 85lbs, 1 - 5 year old female rescue 100lbs, 1 - 2.5 year old female rescue 90lbs. Do you have any links to where to source the wheels for slats and the 4 wheels at each end? Do you have any diy build videos?
Хорошо 👍
Great video as always my freind💯👌🏽
I love using the slatmill It’s a great piece of equipment to train ur dogs with but understanding the mill can do more harm than gd for those who never have owned 1
When you hook them to the mill, where should they be positioned on the mill while running it?
Maybe design A guard that just covers the ends where they are at risk of getting pinched The guard can be attached to a ramp on both ends . So it is just a matter of walking your dog in and running. Him. Then out there front down another ramp ?? You think this would work? If it is able to do then no injuries from pinching or jumping on and off. This looks so sturdy in design.
That was my first thought. I'm drawing a blank but similar concept as a dually fender covering the tires. Bicycle fender, or like a shield on a bench grinder. I'm just throwing all this out there because I shouldn't be the 1st one to acknowledge your comment. Lol You're making too much sense. We're going to have to ask you to cut that out please. Lol
😢 Beautifully said👏👏👏

Great looking dog bro
I can’t find a website that sells mills that doesn’t look sketchy as heck, any recommendations?
WHERE can i buy one ? and roughly what would the cost be? i dont plan on racing my dog but i simply cant keep up with her shes an australian cattle dog who continuously exhaust me before shes ever worn out. high energy dog thinking about possible solutions.
I've been looking online and seems to range from $1000-$3000, the larger the dog the larger the mill and so more expensive it is. I'm looking into carpet mills now, they are cheaper but may wear faster. Just started looking into it today, these seem relatively cheap: grandcarpetmill.com/
@@roberts.8266 we have the most affordable and high quality carpetmills in the world. Check them out at fitdognation.com/product/firepaw-high-resistance-carpet-dog-treadmill/
You can buy one here: fitdognation.com/product-category/treadmills/
or you can make one. maybe atleast a carpet mill cut that cost down to 100-200 bucks
Thank guys! I'm looking to buy one
amen
What is used for the main wheels where do I find those wheels
Can I put carpet on top of the wood even if I nail it down tight

@@knightspropertymaintenance4684 who do i have to contact to pick it up!?
@@MaggieBeg1998 I ordered from dogtrotterusa its expensive tho
We built that mill 20 years ago
I’m newer to these dog activities and was wondering what’s the different benefits from this style mill and a carpet mill vs electric ones?
electric ones you can control the speed and they might had a thing that says how many miles they have walked/run. carpet mills and slat mills are controlled by the dog and have no remote or electronic peices. usually the carpet mill has more resistance and is at a angle, so it might be more challenging than a slat mill which is flat.
@@maddie.1824 thanks, I’ve actually learned that a while ago 😅 learned a lot of new stuff since I last posted that comment and met a lot of people who taught me more about the dog game
she has sucha cute face lol
Lmao why because I know it
