    Have you used any of the Planetbox products? We have been using them for the last 4 years, which is your favorite accessory?

    We have had two planet box lunchboxes since 2022. Unfortunately, the bags have not been very durable for us. the metal containers always end up making holes in the fabric near the zipper. Any advice on a bag for the explorer? I would like to try the explorer for my teen, but a lot of the reviews complained about the bags recommended for that lunch container. Thanks!

      I also noticed with the two carry bags that I got from this last video, that they both got holes in that area too. I can't tell if it is that bag quality or that my kids are just older, more rough, or careless with the bags as they hurriedly back up their lunches at school. According to their website the two Compatible ones are the Lunch Tote Bag and Lunch Sack. I feel like with the explorer you have more options as far as bags go. I would personally try a few out from amazon to see. For instance, I personally would try out the amzn.to/3WDFKYB packit freezeable lunch box as you can easily fit it plus a drink in it. This one is way more basic, but has decent reviews for the price. amzn.to/3Ac6iXW Or maybe this carhartt if it is a for a teen boy amzn.to/3Ac6l64 . Please let us know what you end up choosing so others can see which lunch boxes work for you!

    I bought the lunch tote last year and it didn't take long for it to start looking rough. The material started to pill and get those annoying lent balls even though I washed it only a couple times, due to spills. By the end of the school year the straps looked awful and started to fray. $40 for that bag that didn't last the whole year was very annoying. I'm going to buy the older version. My daughter wants the unicon one too but I'm tempted to get the darker carry bag because she is a messy girl lol
    The tote bag did have plenty of space and I never had a problem with mold like reviews on the website mention. If the straps held up and the design stayed looking nice I would have loved it. I was wondering if the wear on it was due to my daughters care free nature with her stuff lol maybe she was too rough on it but other reviews seem to have the same problems.

      Thanks for sharing your experience. I do know, they have to be washed by hand, but I must say. The two bags that I bought when I made this video are not holding up nearly as well as the older styles that I showed in the video. I still have those as my back up, but I also felt that the newer styles are just not holding up as well. My newer ones both have fraying handles which has never happened to me before. We also don't constantly adjust them either.

      @TheSimpleHaus that's good to know, thank you. It's frustrating to pay for something that should be good quality to not last 1 whole school year. I am going back and forth on what lunch bag to get. I may just have to expect to replace them every year.
      Well, my decision is between Planetbox, Fluf, and Omie as these are the largest bags that will fit all her lunch boxes. Launch is the widest and Omie is the deepest. I suppose I'll go with the cheapest if I have to get a new one each year.

      @@kristin122 true, I think mine will for sure make it one more year, but I got the darkest color for my kids (Galaxy) and so the wear isn't really seen but by me. I was just surprised at the quality difference between my old ones and these ones. If you try the others, please let us know how they fair over time. I really appreciate your imput.

      I also know a lot of people plan to replace yearly, I just don't like the waste if I can avoid it.

      @@TheSimpleHaus I went with Fluf. It arrived and it is very spacious! Hope it will last the year!

    Does the omiebod lunch box fits in the tote?

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus  Год назад

      The Omiebox is Dimensions: 8.5” x 7.5” x 3” and the lunch sack(I think this is the one you mean) is 11 x 8 x 3.5 in so it should fit in there.

  • @fig2821

    Do you think the sack would fit a Launch and a Shuttle plus, perhaps, the new thermos and still close up? I'm not worried about using the drink holder outside.

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus  Год назад

      The Lunch sack is saying their dimensions are 11" long by 8" wide and 3.5" tall. The shuttle is 7.8" long by 5.2" wide and 2" tall and the launch box is 10.3" long by 7.7" wide and 2" tall. So stacked, they would be too tall since they would equal 4" tall together. Side by side inside, there is a chance they could fit, but that is assuming that there is enough gap at the top with the velcro. If you added extra velcro above the current one, I think you could make it work, but I understand not wanting to mod a brand new product. You could try it, or see if there is a store (boutique) locally that you could test fit in. I tried looking at their instagram, and wasn't seeing anything showing that. My guess would be it might just fit both next to each other. You can try and contact their customer support, I have found them very helpful. You could buy and return, but there is a restocking fee unless the item is damaged of course. If you do find out, please let us know what you discover!

    Hi! I really like the carry bag but it's been out of stock for almost 2 months. Do you have any recommendations for other lunch bags that fit the rover? Also, are there leak problems? I definitely should test before school starts lol

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus  2 года назад +1

      Selena, Thanks for the questions, as far as in stock, I would add your email to the notification on their website. I wanted the carry bag in the galaxy color, and one week after adding to the notification list I got an email and was able to order two. The Planet boxes definitely leak, you will need to put anything liquid in the big dipper or little dipper metal containers with the silicon lids which are made for that. If it is something like a fruit that might have a few juices I either fold a paper towel or cloth napkin under them to soak anything up that be released. IF you want a metal lunch box option with a gasket, I think the bentgokids one is a great option. amzn.to/3PYgMg9 I have seen some for sale on ebay, mercari, and poshmark used, but I'm not sure if they carry the style you are wanting. I have watched countless videos and just wasn't sold on any of the other styles. I personally would wait and did for the one that I wanted as I feel they are the best fitting ones currently on the market. Maybe pack in other containers until they are available. I hope this helps, and I really wish you luck in finding your carry bag.

    does the carry bag lunch box fit an omie box? thanks 😊

    • @TheSimpleHaus

      So the Rover Carry Bag that you can see here www.planetbox.com/collections/bags-pouches/products/rover-launch-carry-bag?variant=40452649615499 won't fit the Omni Box because it is only 2.5 inches tall, and the box you're asking about it 3" tall. However, since the omnibox is square, these bags would be great options for your to consider. www.planetbox.com/collections/bags-pouches/products/tote-bag?variant=40100550115467 www.planetbox.com/collections/bags-pouches/products/lunch-sack?variant=40100553031819 because your box is more of a square you would have more space in either one for a drink or a snack I would think.

      Oh no, I was planning on getting the carry bag and we have the Omie box too. Do you think it would stretch and fit a little snuggly? Or would that wear the bag out faster?
