    could you do the same thing without the pliers?

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus 24 дня назад

      The plastic snaps would be very hard to install without the tool. You could try a flat piece of wood and then a hammer, but you would have to be careful to not crush the flat part of the snap. Another alternative would be to get the metal sew in snaps amzn.to/3E3sp5a but you wouldn't have anything on the outside or front of the diaper to hide the initial hole. But that would just be cosmetic at that point. However, a lot of these tools you can buy with a small set of snaps amzn.to/4hbfDQo . I did find this set that snap together, but don't need a tool as well. amzn.to/3PGLWLi So I hope one of these options help.

    Have you had problems getting food stuck in thee blade? I tried to make peanut butter and almost half of it stayed stuck in the blade. Same thing when I try to blend frozen bananas to make soft serve. There is so much waste because I cant get it out of the blade.

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus 28 дней назад

      I feel like that is a common problem since the blade isn't easily removable. I had purchased a firmer silicone spatula to try on my vitamix, and it worked a bit better. I did find this spatula on amazon that I plan to buy and try out. amzn.to/3DUxP28 I do feel like the wider containers make it a bit easier to get things out from below the blades, but you also need to blend more. With the smaller classic container you can make smaller batches. Hope this helps.

      So sorry for the confusion, I do have a blog post here with step by step pictures if that makes it a bit easier to understand here. thesimplehaus.com/2022/05/top-way-to-secure-a-duvet-cover/ But I turn the duvet cover inside out and make a hole with the awl through both layers of the fabric. I try to stay on the extra seam material so the hole for the snap isn't on the portion that is seen when flilpped right side out. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    What about two comforters in one cover . I like it puffy like a cloud and realized they keep sliding to bottom

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus Месяц назад

      In that case I would use the snaps to snap the two comforters together. A lot of companies sell all season blankets with these snaps so during the summer you use one and then in the winter you snap the two together. Then you can add snaps to both comforters in the corners and use only one to keep the cover in place if that makes sense.

    Hi, could you please help me? My drawers are not closing with its soft close system. We are using maximera drawers for the inside pantry.

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus Месяц назад

      So I hope I am understanding your issue correctly, are they closing, but just not slow closing? The slow close portion is a plastic piece that you snap into place. It all comes with the drawer but needs to be added as part of the set up. If they aren't closing all of the way, it could be you didn't recess the drawer slides and so they are sticking out too far. Or it could be the plastic piece that is used to cover the screws for the metal wall cleats, that plastic cover is more cosmetic so take that part off. If none of those work, let me know, and I will see what else I can think of. 🤔 Thanks for watching!!

      Thanks so much for watching! I do feel like Ikea kitchens get a really bad rap from the really bad rental housing kitchens, where they are the most basic cabinets, the worst fronts and hardware that are also installed improperly. But, if done right, I think they can be really nice especially when the big box stores sell you almost the same thing for a higher price, but without all of the nicer features that ikea offers.

    • @kristaps2010
      @kristaps2010 Месяц назад

      @@TheSimpleHaus I agree 100%. there is so many different doors and handles to customise your IKEA up to your choice. Even I have nothing to do with DIY, now I need a cupboard for my "new" second hand oven and I'm looking at IKEA very seriously! for reasonable money I can get 180cm long kitchen cupboard or for half that get 1 Maximera cupboard. Their 3d kitchen planner is very nice, and if you have your cabinet of choice in their planner, and select it, you can scroll to the bottom of the options page, and hit customize, and it does a great job of letting you see which drawers, shelf options, and door options you have in a bigger cabinet like that. Thanks for sharing! How much space is between the bottom medium drawer and the hidden low front drawer above it? I’d guess 7” since it’s a 15” front and it looks like the hidden low drawer is placed in the middle of it but it’s hard to know where those holes line up on the cabinet and how much space the hardware takes up.

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus Месяц назад

      So sorry that I missed this comment! From the top rail of the medium drawer the total space above it to the metal rail the useable space is 9.125" if there were no drawers above it. The middle drawer has the least amount of space in it of 3.125" from the bottom of the inside of the drawer to the top of the top hidden drawer. I can easily fit an ikea utensil organizer in there with our overflow utensils that we don't use often. I'm considering moving our foil, cling wrap, and parchment paper to that drawer since we don't use those things that often, but there isn't a ton of space. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hack for every area of a kitchen, but for us it works great for one large drawer's worth. The top hidden drawer which we use as a homework drawer storage has 3.75" from the bottom of the inside of the drawer to the top of metal piece that is the top of that cabinet. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Have you tried installing a low maximera drawer with a 15 inch tall drawer front before? Also is it possible to use the maximera drawer without using the back of it on a low drawer? Or will it fall apart?

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus 2 месяца назад

      I have never tried using the low drawer with the 15" drawer front. I would be afraid that it would be too much strain, and you might get the top of the drawer front pulling out overtime, but if you do give it a try, please let us know if it works well. The drawers are made to have the back portion, however, I don't think they will fall apart. I have seen a lot of hacks where people will cut out back portions or almost the whole things to leave room for things like plumbing,etc. Good luck, and thanks for watching.

      I forgot to mention that the back of the drawers is metal, so you might need special tools.

    This is awesome 💖 in the past when I’ve used metal snaps, I would find the right size socket from a ratchet set and a light weight hammer. I wonder if it would work for the plastic snaps 🧐

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus 2 месяца назад

      You could always give it a try, part of the snaps are in theory just bent flat which holds them onto the fabric. If it does work, please let us know, and thanks for watching!

    Every image I imported becomes pixelated and blurry. Trying to figure out what's going on there but no luck so far. Anyone else have that issue?

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus 2 месяца назад

      First, I would suggest trying to make sure the image you are using is a big enough size. If you are searching with google, you can go to the Tools portion and hit that. Then there is an advanced search portion where you can be more specific. Sometimes when an image is brought in, it is stretched and made larger, once you resize it to the yoto card size, it could be that it won't look as blurry anymore. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have other issues.

    @TheSimpleHaus Are the 2 hidden drawers low or medium? In other words is it three medium drawers, or one medium and 2 low -- all with a high drawer front?

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus 2 месяца назад

      The two hidden drawers are low drawers, and the other drawer is a medium with a large (15") front put on it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

    This is by far the easiest fool proof crust recipe I come back to every year. I hate cleaning a food processor and using my Vitamix makes it so simple. Thank you… thank you! I’ll add a TBLS of sugar to add sweetness to the crust sometimes. Comes out perfect every time! No kneading!

    A tip for the sewn option: sew a square or an x box to more evenly distribute the tension.

    how do you keep the blanket from sagging at the middle at the top? The ties keep the corners up but for a heavier blanket the middle just sags hard :( And do you need bigger snaps for heavier blankets? We use electric blankets.

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus 2 месяца назад

      I think the snaps are a great option in the middle top , bottom, and sides to keep it from sagging.

    • @LisaSweet
      @LisaSweet 2 месяца назад

      @@TheSimpleHaus Okay :) And again, assume I should use larger snaps since the blanket is thicker and heavier?

    • @TheSimpleHaus
      @TheSimpleHaus 2 месяца назад

      You definitely or use more snaps and space them a shorter distance.

    The duvet will still slide and one very will very quickly,end up right where it started. It’s sort of obvious that if linen is tied b it will hypothetically straighten out except that it won’t.😊

      I know they are a newer thing here in the USA in the last 5-10 years, but I also find them fun. When we were on a super tight budget, I would just buy candy we normally wouldn't and split it up into little packages. It still made it super fun, but I can't wait to hear if you do get one for yourself!
