Sadly Hillary was simply too unpopular. From what I've seen and heard since the election she had basically the same degree of affection from the US population that Margaret Thatcher had in the UK before she died. Trump got stupidly lucky back then that the Democrats were so willnig to put forward such an unappealing candidate.

All of these people are English. I've never heard anybody say that they are British and come from Great Britain, although I guess that the English _would_ be the most likely to do so - they are fond of colonialism afterall. If you head out into the less Anglo-Saxon lands, they'll generally avoid any and all possible association with the English. Particularly Scotland. If you're ever in Glasgow, it'd probably be best to view the people as Scottish.
