Hi Gly cool to see you learning the ropes! A couple of observations...you should never let go of your tail. You should have one hand on the descender and the other on the tail of the rope. When going down ladders it is easier to just let yourself down and not use the ladder so you have 2 hands to work the descender. If you are going down a tight space take off your pack and have Mr M lower it when you get down. Great to see you guys having fun, Thumbs up!
“Gly”: Thanks Frank! Things are about to get a whole lot more fun! The fabricated pieces for our gantry system will be here Friday and we can begin assembly of the final components. You were right, the top Croll made the harness much more comfortable and functional. 👍
@@AbandonedandForgottenPlaces The croll really works good for going up ladders. You basically just climb up normally with two hands but if the ladder were to fail or you get knocked off by something falling on you it holds you from falling.

This was an absolutely terrifying way to start a Saturday morning. This is definitely a good example of why people should stay out of abandoned mines if they like living. I'm not sure what that weird movement was, probably a rock through dust or a sudden air current caused by rockfall, but there was something down there when you looked in on the way back. At 24:46 you can see something (a small critter, no doubt) flit from left to right in the hole next to whatever that gray collapsed thing is. I'm surprised none of those stulls had blown out from that pressure. Some of them are being literally pressed into the rock walls.
I was gonna post about that as well. If it was a dust particle then you wouldn't be able to see the shadow that clearly. The first movement I first thought was rolling rocks, but this movement doesn't seem like what you'd expect from a rolling rock.
Congratulations Gly & Mr M, wow 100K that is so awesome and you totally deserve it not only because of the filming aspect and the content but because of what you guys have to go through even before you find a mine. That was pretty intense. All those sheets of rock could have cut loose at any second and that would have been that. Yeah, way to dangerous. I don’t think that was a mouse or a pack rat down there, I didn’t see any substance for them to eat or drink. Especially in the second level. I think it would have been easier to stay up top. I would think a good thump, then seeing something roll would have made more sense. Maybe it was a me knocker. (Tommy.). Thank Gly and Mr. M for another nerve racking adventure. Hello, awesome videos. Sorry I don't click "like" often enough. I love old mines but I won't climb. Have you ever been to Leadville Colorado? I'm in Colorado every summer but I will probably never visit Leadville again. YOU definitely should( head up 5th or 7th street til you get up to treeline) go see thousands of unmarked, uncovered vertical holes, many just a few feet from well maintained roads. - Beautiful but very scary.
Such beauty and danger rolled into one. The colors Mother Nature can make is truly amazing. That teal is beautiful. What mineral is that? Edit: I must add, my husband is a tig welder and seeing where tungstun comes from is truly educational. Thank you Gly & Mr. M!
May not have gone very deep, but I think it's amazing to see rock in this kind of state. Terrifying! But incredibly unique, and not something most would see in their life. There was a section in the especially dodgy part that just looked like...splintered or shredded wood. Thanks for going down into these, fellas!
Gotta say that this is more suspenseful than watching a movie. It is real, and, it is very very dangerous. I’ve been in a cave that partially collapsed on top of me. Some are just not a friendly place to be. The cave/mine in this video is one of them. Your voice is sometimes just enough to bring things down on yourself. Last time I ever went into a cave and I never will again. You may not come back out and you may get others hurt when they go in to see if they can get to you. Folks, ...as tempting as it is, just stay out.
This is such a great channel all the hard work you put into these videos. It really pays off because all ur videos have really nice transitions. You have such a happy mindset I love it keep it up🤙👍🏼

Hey just found the channel and I'm loving it, this kind of stuff scares the ever living hell out of me but I love watching it! Just curious how do you find the mines? Do you look up old drawn maps of the area in records or do you just use google maps or something similar?
Pretty sure that was just a falling rock from where you were standing. But the first couple times I saw it definitely gave my spine a chill! This is probably the scariest mine I've seen you tackle. Those knife-edge slabs and all the sharp fragments everywhere were crazy. Glad you got out safely!!
He cracks me up! I listen with headphones and laugh like crazy, either my husband or strangers give me suspicions or appreciative looks..lol. Mr. M and Gly make my day no matter what kind of day I'm having! Thank you gentlemen!
I was a submariner that at times climbed into a 21 inch torpedo tube. That shaft looks way too tight for even me. Those mines are dangerous beyond words. I hope Gly stays safe, but you can only cheat death for so long. Good luck Gly.
100% de acuerdo.. You need a new toy, something like a mini drone to send on those dangerous places and stay safe so we can enjoy your art for a long time.. Greetings from Panama 🇵🇦
You mine explorers worry me the anxiety got so bad I had to turn this one off lol. You can measure how much weight is upon a timber in a mine by looking at the capboard on it & seeing how compressed it is. That is an area that back when I was mining coal for a living, I would not have ventured into for any reason. The only thing holding those ribs up for several hundred feet were the timbers it looked like. Be careful brother.
Oh, man. I'm not sure if it was a mouse, spider, etc fleeing your light or a falling rock, but I was too concerned about the absolute deathtrap that mine was generally. Wow. Holding on by a thread and slabs that sharp? I'm glad you dipped out ASAP, Gly. I'd rather be disappointed by a dud explore than by getting no more videos, so to speak.

I would say a rolling stone because just before you look over the beam you hear a stone start to fall down
I second this!
I'm thinking more along the lines of light from 'Gly's' headlamp reflecting off a semi-shiny rib surface being that Tungsten ore tends to be a shiny white color.
Definitely a small rock.
Brilliant and exciting....got a bit nervous for you several times...curiously addictive! The return trip was very nasty looking?
Gly releases a new video while im hungover:
Ah yes - sustenance
Get off the reefer ..lol
True dat.
Outstanding video. Simply fantastic. I think this is one of my favorites I've ever seen.
This was fun! You'd never see me down in there so I'm glad you did it. That place is incredibly dangerous lol
Yeah.. 100000 subscribers🥇 congratulations Gly 🎊🎉🎈✨.
a big well done mate. Glad to have been with ya along the way. Keep up the great work, much love from the land down under.
Excellent show Gly, you're getting really good at this! You could make an entertaining show out of three guys trapped in a collapsed mine for 5 days!
I really like your content! Stay safe out there. Keep up the fantastic work!
I'm extremely fearful of dark areas and things I cant see fully. Im also very interested in mines so im very thankful you make these videos.
I love the enthusiasm Gly!! That's why the truck talk is so amazing!! The gritty realism is out bread and butter!!
Our bread and Butter
Ok Mr. M needs a harness!!
Not if im 200 yards ahead of you!!
Imagine if you were still trying to carry a camera in one hand while descending without a rope at full weight getting your camera full of dust lmao those were the days!!!
Even though i would love to do this, i am more then happy to live vicariously through you with these videos! PLEASE be careful.
Man you are living my dreams! So cool what you are doing. I lived in southern Arizona as well as northern Utah for many years. Really wish I would have got into something like this while I was there! Cheers from Jackson Mississippi
“Stress testing ladders “ 🤣😂😂🤣🙃😉 good one Mr.M! Loved this episode . You guys are awesome.
Whow. Really cool looking Mine. But, I watched 22minutes to see a little Dust-Avalanche...
Man that was a nail bitter man. Sometimes ya just gotta say my life is worth more than the video. Stay safe brother.
Ah, the best part of Saturday mornings, eclipsing even childhood Saturday morning cartoons! Settling in to watch, thanks guys!
When M goes the mines always go through. He’s the good luck charm 😀
This is such a great channel all the hard work you put into these videos. It really pays off because all ur videos have really nice transitions. You have such a happy mindset I love it keep it up🤙👍🏼
5 MIMUTES IN AND I'M ALREADY FEELING CLAUSTROPHOBIC
N.exe stopped working
Please restart your alphabet
(Just joking)
For someone without claustrophobia, I would never be in there. More power to you and stay safe!
I get that "feeling" when I go horse camping and head out on that new undiscovered pioneer trail.
99.9 percent of us know nothing about exploring out mines...that's why we watch you guys..So thank you..
I’m the 1% then as I do know about mines from watching this. But it’s only 1 thing I know. NEVER GO INTO A MINE 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that’s all I need to know hahah
I have developed an appreciation for Monsieur M's slightly dry, acerbic humor ;>
Yeah. I really like the interaction between the two personalities.
Acerbic
adjective
adjective: acerbic
1.
(especially of a comment or style of speaking) sharp and forthright.
Learned something new today!
He cracks me up! I listen with headphones and laugh like crazy, either my husband or strangers give me suspicions or appreciative looks..lol. Mr. M and Gly make my day no matter what kind of day I'm having! Thank you gentlemen!
And his wheezey laughter when he saw Gly in a rope harness going down wanting to "stress test" the ladder xD
this is very interesting to watch,i love this channel, big fan from the uk...such an escape for me,thank you guys
If that was a cockroach then you must be in a uranium mine, that thing was huge
Your excitement is contagious
The labourers who cut this mine were the real heros in this film imo but another great cave experience guys tyvm
You have a very easy going Voice to listen to which really adds to the video .
A truly terrifying yet beautiful mine! You got big ones made of steel I'll give ya that!!! Can't wait for the next video!
Have you ever thought about using Depends? Asking for a friend. I certainly had to change mine. Congrats on the subscibers!
They’d certainly be worth the money! Then Gly could wear any color of pants he wanted- not just the brown ones!😉😆
Thanks to all of you who go into the mines and show us what they look like. Also always be safe also I have enjoyed the video's. 👍👍
