Great job, I have the 224 version of this, you did an amazing job. I’m hesitant to buy this gun, it’s going for $1200 plus the pole extension for about 1k on top of that. I’ll try to do the same with a smaller flame torch.

Started up a shrink business this year and after around 300 boats done for the season I definitely learned quite a bit and became more efficient at it. If you need any tips just let me know. You're making the perimeter band much harder on yourself than need be. Start on the front corner cleat of the boat on either side and make your first vertical strap down to however far you want the band to be. You make a loop into the middle of the strapping at your desired height and tighten the loop, then cut just below it. So you'll just have a string hanging down with a loop on the end of it from your cleat. Then run your strapping line through that loop and continue on down the length of the boat, no needing any tape or having to go back to a part you already passed. Only needing the vertical straps at the points the boats curve shape changes. Also when you tie the line between any 2 points, the line is only going to be nice and tight if make an anchor loop in your strapping before tie off point B. instead you dont tie it onto point B but just wrap the strapping around point B and tie the strapping back to the anchor point you made in your loop and pull tight. Pinch the loop while tieing your knot and it will stay tight. Use this to keep your perimeter band extremely tight making it easier to handle in windy conditions and only having to weld/tack after youve completely finished all the tucking. The problem you're having towards the end when you put in the securing straps underneath the boat to hold the tarp down. You're perimeter band is not tight enough which is what those secure straps should be supported off of. Instead the loose perimeter band is causing all the stress to be put into that tarp causing it to rip and you needing tape patches over every single securing strap.

@@madmanmechanic8847 Its great money if you can find customers. Talking to the harbor masters at each dock might secure you some jobs. Make friends with them and have them refer anyone in the lot that wants a wrap to you. I mean if you want some numbers, The initial heat gun cost is around $1200. I buy mostly 17x350' rolls of 7m shrink wrap for $480, normal price is $800 from west marine but with a pro business discount. (Need to spend 20k on your account to get). So with that wrap I can cover roughly 11 boats at $500 pay each boat. $5500 for probably 16 hours of work on the boats. Minus the cost of the wrap and propane needed, $4920 of profit from that one roll of wrap. Upwards of $300/hour

Should learn to tie a Bowline knot when hooking to the trailer or cleats. It's so much easier to cut off in the spring.
