I grew up on Elric of Melnibone & The Eternal Champion. It's actually quite shocking to think this writer lives only a few hours away from me & to my credit, i have never treked to his home to faun over him or annoy him with autographs & questions! lol
I remember Forbidden Planet in Denmark Street in the early 80's. There was also another comic shop called Dark They Were and Golden Eyed, also in Denmark Street. As a musician and a comic book lover, Denmark Street was the best street in the whole of the world :-)
@@FutureHH Both damn good books. More maturely written & constructed than some of the classic Elric novels from the 60s & 70s. Though I'm not entirely sure if they are a bridge too far for readers new to the series. Anyways give em' a read and tell me what you think!
Stan Nicholls (book manager) and Paul Hudson (comics manager) deserve some credit for Forbidden Planet’s success it seems to me. And John Nicholls (no relation) who was a powerhouse in the mail order section (basement!).
Michael, I’m Çarl Rylander and I am the reincarnation of jfk William tell and Abraham Lincoln. I’ve got 5000 story concepts and your family is with me, link up with me and we’ll sort em if they shout weirdo at u when the windows open
Well at least Diana Gabaldon of Outlander can get away with plagiarism. If you know who Jamie from Doctor Who is, listen to this: ruclips.net/video/CQHKw0jVx2M/видео.html

A gentleman and a genius,
Moorcock is a treasure for us here in Texas.

Ahhh Mr Moorcock, so nice to see you✨ I love you and I’m not the only one❤️✨
The ONLY sci-fi author I will read. Dorian Hawkmoon remains one of my fave fictional characters.
Only read the 1st Hawkmoon; long to get to him and Jerry Cornelius one day.
Mr. Moorcock remains one of the touchstone authors I truly follow. It's great to see this interview and I thank you for conducting it!
Fantastic interview with one of my absolute favorite writers!
Thanks you so much! We have another one coming soon!

Dark They Were and Golden Eyed was on Berwick St and later moved to nearby St Anne’s Court.
Not Denmark St.
Thank you for this video : an old fan of Michael Moorcock.
Our pleasure! Also one of OUR favourite writers!
We have another interview with the great man coming soon!

So what about the similarities to “The Witcher” many of us Michael Moorcock fans think that Moorcock’s epic character Elric has been ripped off .
not really. I'd go for a little inspired but it's not really the same.
VERY different from each other. Other then the White hair and nickname, that's about it.

@@KeithDraws You are living in a fantasy world (heh heh!). Major rip-off.
