Toppel should definitely be trained as a CM, now depending on what you need he could be a good mezzala or even a box to box if he starts improving rapidly, but the safe bet would probably be a CM on attack

I find they don't perform as well if not sharp but maybe placebo effect. Toppel an inverted winger for me, good acceleration and composure for scoring.

For me, there are 3 options for Toppel: CM(atk), Left Winger or AM. The slow speed, but good work rate suggests either the 1st or the 3rd option.
