Loved this save, congrats on yet another Youth Academy success! Just watched this whole series over the last 3 days and have to say other than the Darton saves which are my favourite due to being a club fan (Come On You Miners!!!) it’s been right up there with the Andorra ones that first got me hooked on your twitch channel. Really like how you’ve laid out the episodes and shown the thought process with any decisions re tactics, retraining etc. Only one question I do have was did you get that stadium and if so please tell me it was named after the legendary manager?! Keep up the fine work mate, sad that due to time zones I can’t catch your streams on Twitch anymore but glad I can catch your videos here.

So close, yet so far... Good luck next season! BTW, could you show the best players' development, please? Keep it up!

Bit of an up and down season here, but the FA Cup surely helped stave off some issues for the season at the very least. Make sure you give the coach at Doncaster a pint! Shame again that the intake is middling, but at least you have some things Hughes as a decent stopgap/backup will be fine, if a bit uninspiring. Bit of Composure/Ball Control/Speed and he won't steer you too wrong. Green absolutely needs to eat his vitamins. Good mentals, but those physicals make me cringe. Hope his backup role builds that up quick, because he will definitely get his pocket picked at this stage. Hemsley on the other hand, what a beauty! Just a solid all rounder who is Lancaster's heir-apparent. Baker and Davis now looking like proper backups for now. This guy looks like he might be the first meal-ticket transfer down the line as Darton climbs the pyramid. VNL is always a meat grinder, so this might take a few seasons to get there, but I do look forward to seeing if there is a lucky defender heavy intake next season. Hope that as we get deeper down the line we also can have a view of the top developing youth of the season to get us a bit more familiar with who is climbing up the ranks.

That welsh guy is a weird one with his attributes but certainly a nice depth option... If the intake threw a good centre-back, it'd have been insanely good.

Another successful season, definitely makes me wonder when this train will stop, if ever. Not a worldy intake for me, but serviceable for building up some depth, real shame that CB is still in some need. Bennett looks like a nice backup to Tikkanen at this point, some good bones if he can get the physicals up. Really love Davis and Baker as replacements for Lancaster, feels like Baker is more game ready now while Davis gets the physicals up to snuff. Probably feel like Davis is two years away. Javan (Ja-vonn) Shuttleworth really needs that passing up if he's going to use that trait. Straight to the youth team right now and see how he seasons.

When training youth players (or any player) how often would you change the training focus to improve the areas they need it?

I don’t have a youth intake any idea how to get one on Xbox edition ?

Another solid season and I like the look of a few of those new intake players - hopefully the success continues in S5!

Super glad that you're able to keep Tikkanen he's been a worldy for you and could end up a lower league club legend at this rate. That and I'm always going to shout out the lesser known divisions. It's also why I'm happy Wali Nawaz is signed on, even if he's only going to show up as a 5-10 games off the bench player, there is some solid attributes that can make him useful late game. Top 5 names for me this intake in order, Wollerton, Pugh, McWorter, Unsworth, Nawaz. Pugh definitely strikes me as the frustrating intake player where scouting hyper focuses on his physicals. Very raw prospect vs the more complete looking Wollerton. I definitely think you're right in the desire to change HOYD. This is definitely better than last year, but the scouting stats could really use a pick-me-up. Congrats on the next title! Going to be quite a battle for the rest of the save.

I am always trying to use my teams youth setup but always get my head turned by South American/ Eastern European wonder kids. My current save is a build a nation with osters in Sweden and starting 3 youth players with 3 more getting game time and the plan is to have 8 of my squad as youth academy graduates next season. 7 seasons in and just lost on last 16 of champions league but have Swedish league to to 13th in the euro coefficient

Yeah the HOYD leaving you was an absolute killer. Try and find one with UNFLAPPABLE media handling - they seem to produce the best personalities (something I'm sure you're already aware of).

Ouch. Simply ouch. The ebbs and flows of youth development rear their heads in. Only really two names worth talking about for me vs. last season's intake. And it hurts since I'm always a big fan of seeing the wild nationalities that come in, especially at the lower levels. Personally, the only one that kind of excites me is Sam Gordon. Newman is fine, probably a good backup for the level, but that's all we're likely to see. Oh well, good shout on keeping the momentum and the promotion. Super glad my guess that Tikkanen being the cream of the crop from last year is coming in good. Also super impressed by the growth of Calvin Scott, wasn't the biggest name for me last year, so good to see some surprises.

As you mentioned in the video as potential, you really should bounce through the lower levels. Game isn't designed to be played this low so your intakes will be better. Plus the upgrades will help that too. By the time you get to National level you'll be getting quality players in for that level too

Just to give you an idea of how bad the players are at that level: the JD Cymru premier league is ranked around 100th best league and you can comfortably win that league with a team of 80-100CA players - 80CA will be roughly National League North/South level - so your league will probably all be 10-50CA.

From tier 10 to the National league north/south it's relatively easy to do these challenges. The players that are generated for user managed teams are usually bottom north/south players.

I'm doing my local side only signing players that could reasonably commute to my city. I've still walked the first two regional divisions I'm in. The ai isn't designed for this level imo.
