  • Here we show you how to reverse a servo electrically, without the need for servo reversing on the transmitter.

Thanks! Especially for mentioning that the procedure is the same for both analog & digital servos.

I have done this many times in the past when transmitters were not so versatile but these days I would use 2 channels and mix them. The problem that you noted whereby you cannot get the servo arm exactly at 90 degrees when the servo is centered cannot be resolved when using a Y lead unless you are very lucky.
Back in the "Old Days" Futaba servos had an odd number of splines on the output shaft and servo horns and by moving the X shaped horn around you could get much finer control of the centered position because each arm was at a slightly different angle due to the number of splines. The 4 arms on the X shaped horn were numbered so that they could be differentiated.
I suspect that not many people knew this even then and put up with non centered output arms. These days we just dial in a bit of sub trim.

I forgot to mention in the video that indeed i have found even the cheapo servos do indeed have offset splines on the output arms. As you say not many people know or notice it ;o)

Try this on a micro 90S where there are no 3 wires.@@Rcmodelgeeks

Try this on a micro servo as the internal portion is one unit!

This is the far better way of doing it , its done , its not going to get un-reversed or changed , the correct way to do the job ......

Tricopters run a servo off the fc board from the giro, so this is much more use full. cheers.

Hmmmm, spare channel and program, would take me 30seconds? maybe 1 minute, change 1 channel from 100 weight to -100, on my 9xr pro with flysky module, I know what I would do, yours is another Most complicated way of doing the same thing, but hey whatever floats your boat! :-D love your vids, and with the old Tx's that's the way we would have done it.

Also preventing interference, current loss, you won't lose function of the 2 servo's the same time usw.

There is a reason for doing it this way and all will be revealed in a later video ;o)

Is there a way to determine the correct wires to switch whenever they are all the same color? Also, I've got an emax servo and there are 3 wires attached to the motor. . . 2 are going to the poles(as shown in your vid) and 1 is soldered to the can. I'm assuming reverse the two that are attached to the poles?
