Found this song from watching the Peacemaker series & you're the only reaction I found about it. Dude, this song is a banger. The hook gets me every time. 😂
Bezerk is a crown jewel in Hair Metal. It was their second full length and 1st with singer Kim Hooker. Their first, Young and Crazy was very good, but vocals lacked the range that Hooker brought to the table. Wazbones was a very good follow up in the early 90's but lacked the funding to be produced on any significant level, as at that point, Metal was being phased out for Grunge. The song "Murderess", on that album, is said to be a continuation of "Love Bomb". The band took a long break and came back in 2006 with Bezerk 2.0. Another credit to the original and another home run from the guys in Tigertailz. Thrill Pistol followed in 2007, but was the last we would see of Kim Hooker as lead vocals. Their third singer would debut in the 6 song EP called Knives. Not a bad song on the album, but "Bite The Hand that Feeds" and "Shoe Collector" take the cake. They are currently on their 4th singer, who used to be their bassist. He is doing a pretty good job and the band is still active to this day!
Thanks to HBO MAX show peacemaker to bring me this great song. I wondered while watching the show if this was a genuine " 80's" song. Apparently it was. Great song.
BEZERK was a top 40 album and the official Live video was top 5 video in Europe. 'Love Bomb Baby' was a hit single, as were 'Heaven' & 'Noise Level Critical'. TIGERTAILZ were on Music For Nations record label (Metallica, Wasp, Anthrax) at the time. MFN had lost their distribution deal in the US. This is why BEZERK wasn't released there, but first album 'Young & Crazy' was (on Combat). TIGERTAILZ are from WALES!
Wondering if you've ever talked about the end of the hair band era? I've heard in a documentary that around the flip into the 90's that a new boss took over at MTV and refused to play hair bands and moved towards grunge and that heavily changed the industry. I also heard Chris Jericho ( FOZZY & pro wrestler) say that hair bands kept going till around 1995 in JAPAN while the U.S. moved on much earlier.
i just found yer vids, i digged glam in hs 80's i was their, gettin shit on in preppie schools n smokin weed in the woods blowin off school, so, i' want sumtin more subversive like canadian sassy scarlet , they r f'd up
Oh YES, we WILL get glammy up in this b*tch!!! (I talk like that and worse all the time, so....no concerns over vernacular here!) You did this song justice and proved my point of just how catchy it is! It is unfortunate that the band never took off here in the U.S. because this song specifically had all the benchmarks of being a hit - as you totally demonstrated, it can be picked up/memorized easily on the first listen and when it gets in your head, IT DOES NOT GET OUT! The video is even better...the guys had THE LOOK....GLAM, DARLING! Bassist Pepsi Tate had it going on, may he rest in peace - he lost a battle with cancer in 2007. Thank you so much for the shout-outs and you totally made my day! You ARE a love bomb, baby!!!
Young & Crazy is an amazing album...has a completely different sound. Sounds more like GN'R and Faster Pussycat and in my opinion belongs in the same category as those two bands debuts. I think they never made it big fir 3 reasons: 1. They're 1st album came out at the same time and was buried by Faster Pussycat and GN'R. 2. They didn't have the luxury of being from the Sunset Strip scene. 3. They changed they're sound and singer on their 2nd album.
Only just seen this! Cheers for the love for Love Bomb Shane! ❤️ ps) We have about 26k monthly Spotify listeners, so not doing so bad! 😉❤️

One of my all time favorite bands.

love tigertailz, the first few albums were great....R.I.P Pepsi Tate
Young & Crazy and Bezerk are their first 2 and best albums.
This album is from 1990 , with Kim Hooker on vocals, The album of 1987 is Young and crazy whith steevi Jaimz.
I think Steevi Jaimz was more talented because he had a voice no one else had and was so different.
Tigertailz are my favorite 🐯
Wow I have more monthly listeners than Tigertailz? lol I remember them. Out of most of the glam bands that were around then they were a fave!

They could have been a bigger band, but the album artwork looks like a metal album. The smallest bad choices can make or break a band like this.
