- We baked a delicious snack bread by rolling ham and sausage in dough made with craft beer (Weizen), a technique used in the "Gedo" (?) style. We hope you'll give it a try, too.
Please turn on the subtitles.
The best way to enjoy beer is to drink it while it's still good, but even if it loses its freshness, it can be reborn as a new bread. It's like a new lease of life.
It's also great for bread bakers.
Here's a rough recipe.
It'll be fun to try different combinations with the ingredients you already have at home!
Ingredients:
120 g beer (room temperature)
200 g strong flour
2 to 3 g salt
10 g sugar
10 g butter
1 to 2 g yeast
Sausage, ham, cheese, etc. to taste Anything that goes well with beer.
How to make…
Just replace the brewing water with beer and make it like you normally would!
Mix, knead, and do the primary fermentation (40°C for 1 hour).
Divide, shape, and do the second fermentation (40°C for 30 minutes).
Then bake at 210℃ for 15 minutes.
You can change the temperature and time to suit you, whatever you need to do.
