      yh of course, just tipe in youtube search bar : 320 bpm drumming. You know.... the people flamming here are just retardet cunts that are to mind reduced to observe that THIS video was only a joke! This drummer plays on a inhuman speed and most people dont want to belive that because they 1. are just dumb as fuck or 2. are too jealous. They think Aaron Kitcher (the drummer) is producing his drum parts with a software, because hes not able to play it himself. But thats total bullshit xD, he proved on multiple video and live that he is really playing everything by himsel, not with a programm or triggers! I’ll tell all people who think this is real right now to get your facts correct. Because if you believe this is in any way real you are mistaken. Sure the quality is bad which would make you think that it has a higher likely hood of being real. But me, and any other drummer who does heel toe will know that this is impossibly clean and sounds exactly the same as a machine that is quantized to perfection. He also literally did not change how his legs were moving at all, that does not look like a double stroke roll at all!!!

      ***** do you realise that all drum parts in both Infant Annihilator albums are programmed?

    • @andreas380
      @andreas380 8 лет назад +14

      Yes, I do realise that. As far as I know on both albums they hadn't the possibilty to record proper acoustic drums. And programmed drums don't mean compulsory that they can't be playable. Look at his old drum-playthrough from "Decapitation Fornication" where he already achieved 320 bpm and now a few years have past where he has still practised. All I say is that I think Aaron can really play all his stuff; even the short 400 bpm part on "Blasphemian"...

    • @iPlayDrums4You
      @iPlayDrums4You 7 лет назад +3

      None of the drumming is real lol. It's all programmed. I used to do something similar on my Roland TD-6KV electric kit. You can record something at 140bpm-half speed and then go into the module and speed up the recording to 280bpm and it sounds super clean double speed, or what ever multiple you want. Doesn't mean it doesn't sound neat but he cannot play this stuff at full speed lol.

    Oh my fucking god. You can hear the untriggered drums from the camera microphone if you listen closely. 8th notes the entire length of the video. Holy shit. I'm sorry, I hate to be "that guy".
    But still, half of you complaining on here need to put a cork in it. Every band you listen to uses triggers. The dude can play. 320 BPM? Maybe not. But he's very skilled, and his music is excellent! He and Eddie certainly know how to write, and I'm eagerly awaiting their next project!

    • @IOutDoSyndicate
      @IOutDoSyndicate 9 лет назад +5

      Triggers don't increase or fake speed. They are triggers triggered upon beater hits. What are you talking about

    • @brockbowman5370
      @brockbowman5370 9 лет назад +2

      IOutDoSyndicate No disrespect, but I know exactly what I'm talking about. I get what triggers do. They record and play a midi samples, and it's super easy to program midi. The drum tones used on IA's debut are samples from Superior Drummer's Avatar presets, so they have the tools to program drum machines. All they did was program the 16ths and line it up with the video. It would take no more than three minutes to do all of that. And even not knowing that, I don't see how you can disagree when it takes a grand total of 15 seconds to hear the acoustic strokes for yourself. I really don't know why you have to come at me like I'm stupid.

    • @IOutDoSyndicate
      @IOutDoSyndicate 9 лет назад +5

      Brock Bowman You are stupid, as you called called yourself and I will just use, because you are disregarding two very important factors. 1). Kitcher has at least some form of credibility. Speed isn't foreign to him. 2). Heel toe (Actual heel and actual toe, using the entire board) produce shallower follow up hits so how you think a more subtle foot movement would produce intense follow up hits is actually quite off to me.
      Now he could have set a sample over this quite easily, but you only get to do that once before your credibility goes to shit. Considering 160bpm is near or at the starting pace for every beginner, I don't find it that extravagant that he has figured a way, that probably already exists, to control double hits with less movement and less stamina use than heel toe. I guess we'll see when we either get a tutorial or a meme face.

    • @brockbowman5370
      @brockbowman5370 9 лет назад +1

      haha dude what the hell? i've been nothing but respectful to you. whatever. you're grasping at straws. you're using like three different named logical fallacies at once. his credibility is completely irrelevant to his abilities. give me one reason why it is. and maybe, just maybe, i could believe he was using a very, very controlled heel toe technique if you couldn't hear the acoustic 8th notes in the video. you still have not addressed that, you want to ignore it. instead, you want to talk about triggers, and heel toe, and everything else, just like you did on all the other comments. the dude can play, but this is not legit. i really didn't want to turn this into an argument, but so be it. have a nice day! :)

    • @pearpiece97
      @pearpiece97 9 лет назад +1

      Brock Bowman Dude, the second stroke of each double is most likely quieter acoustically, than the first hit (or vise versa). That's why triggers are used; to keep the velocity of each hit the same, no other purpose - other than to change the sound. That's most likely the reason you can only hear 8th notes acoustically, because those are the hits that are most prominent through the camera's microphone.
      You can easily tell he's playing at that speed, because otherwise the triggers wouldn't be picking up that many hits, no matter what velocity he's playing them at.
      You mentioned that he could've edited a kick sample over the video? No chance. Listen to the sound quality, it's clearly the camera. Unless he's got some amazing digital plug-in that allows you to change the audio file quality to 'potato'.

    To those saying this is fake.
    Having actually started using triggers for practicing at college etc, I actually found that if you time it right with your feet, you can achieve double where your foot goes down once, the main hit is normal volume (as alot of you are pointing out), but you can get a second hit, that is basically the rebound of the beater vs movement of your foot resulting in a very, VEEERY quiet hit as like a "bounce" on/off the head. Obviously when using a trigger (presuming like most death metal drummers the sensitivity is like over 9000) this results in a double hit. Also note that because this is more a "bounce" from the beater you dont move your foot as if youre doing two hits.
    I guess some would say its "cheating".
    Think of it as doing a buzz roll instead of fast singles for fills.
    Either way wouldnt say this video is fake what so ever.

    u people really don't get how double strokes work do you, if u watch Aaron stechauner from ROS play through inadequate, u can see pretty much every stroke while his feet seemingly move at half speed, this is cause of him pushing on the pedal in a weak and almost indirect way so that the high tension in the pedals result in a second note. this note is really quiet in acoustic drums without triggers hence the weird sounding bass drum

    Everyone saying this is fake needs to do more research on triggers, different foot techniques and extreme metal drumming in general. Please, just stop pretending you're experts on the subject. I promise you this is real. Hell, I can double kick at this speed using heel-toe. I was doing it 5 mins ago. It's far from impossible and many drummers do it faster. I've seen him live and he's a great drummer. All you guys are doing is making yourselves look childish and uninformed.

    • @TheJokesterSCR
      @TheJokesterSCR 9 лет назад

      And heel-toe always sounds like garbage without triggers. And it's usually very inconsistent. If you can double at 300+ doing RLRLRL, and do it clean without triggers, that would be impressive.

Aaron's not a moron so I can promise you this is real. I'm not saying Aaron is shitty, he's amazing actually, but I can't say I am a fan of how he starts doing doubles at only like 230 when other drummers like George Kollias can still hit 280+ with singles and sound a lot more natural and clean because of it. If you want another drummer that has taken Kollias's technique to heart, check out David Diepold.

It’ seems that the people who talk the most crap about musical instrument playing are people who don’t play in the first place. It’s like me telling a jet fighter pilot he is a terrible pilot when I have zero knowledge of piloting. Also triggers are “not” cheating. The drummer still has to play the beats in time. People who keep saying that IA produce there music with a computer DAW is correct, but so is literally everyone else in and outside the music business.

    The first part I loved. Single strokes on the feet played clean and precise. The second part when he plays the 320 time I hate! Don't get me wrong I love the quality of his strokes (clean and precise sounding of the bass drum he achieves, yes I know with triggers but he is still playing without any obvious gating and so is extremely precise)and his wonderful rhythmic accuracy, no flamming, clipping etc. But the overall result is , for my ears, a comic absurdity where one can now measure when musicality ends and acrobatics begin. I say this not as a jab at him as I know of many performances where he demonstrates aptly his musical mind and sensibilities but here though I struggle to enjoy this as a musical option on the drums as it reminds me of a doorbell being rung very quickly and constantly. I'm offering in my comment the question of if certain speeds of playing can exit the realm of musicality? I always thought for example dragon force never sounded musical but sounded like music played too fast with the audible result being more Olympic than emotional. To support my claim I challenge you all to share with me a song of great speed which you consider to emotional stir you and not just acrobatically entertain you. For me opeth have ventured the limit without losing the emotional impact of the song:ghost of perdition. This speed though in this video doesn't sound like it would belong in a song that moves you

    • @williamchristensen7354
      @williamchristensen7354 2 года назад

      Opeth's "Ghost of Perdition", no doubt, a fantastic example of musicality in metal. As for your question, I think there is a limit, but that limit is more about the impact than it is about the actual speed and impact is dependent on audience as well as the artist's execution of intention. Audiences for extreme metal are assumed to be adjusted well enough to speed that it doesn't pose a punishing or negative experience for them (you don't want your audience to get overwhelmed or pained by your performance, unless you do, and then you're an asshole). And yeah, you don't want to risk turning your speed into something boring, and good bands will know how to avoid doing that. It goes back to the artist's intention and the execution of that intention.
      Two additional thoughts: 1) Dragonforce's music moves people in the same way that caffeine does. I don't think it's fair to compare them to a band like Opeth; they're both good but for different reasons. 2) If you haven't yet, you might consider listening to the drum playthrough of an IA song (such as this one ruclips.net/video/SImHi16cwqc/видео.html). It might help put IA's speed into context in a way that this drumming clip doesn't.
