- Alton Towers have just had the first night of their fireworks spectacular event!! And some interesting things have been potentially seen and uncovered!! A spacecraft, seemingly like Galactica, has attacked the phalanx which I think would be a cool retheme! And the ending provided us with a new look at the BRAND NEW ride coming in 2025!! I love how Alton Towers has such a cohesive story and theme with all of their coasters. I really wish we saw that more often. I’d kill to have them colab with some international parks to expand the story by incorporating local legends from arround the world! Imagine a coaster themed to studying the chupacabra, a bunyip or the mothman? That would be sweet.

@@TheCowboyOfEpic I do wonder though how easy it would be to retrofit Galactica as it's a prototype B&M flying coaster I don't know how much they have changed since it's released, probably not much change though.

I have a theory that the toxic green theme is the “medicine” that the phalanx are medicating the nemesis monster with to keep her under control.
Great video Dan now we are at least one more step to Toxicator no Project Ocean to be announced and I think if there is gonna be a going to be a re theme it’s probably gonna to get announced on the last day similar to what they did to Nemesis

The whole John Dalton thing really confused me too because the original actor who played John dalton said in an interview with Lift Hills and Thrills that it would make no sense for him to be at the opening of Nemesis Reborn because he had died, but now he’s back? The fact that it is now a different actor playing John Dalton makes me think that it is either the Phalanx attempting to cover up his death and keep pushing the ‘everything is totally fine and under control’ narrative or it’s just one big continuity error lmao 😂 Keep up the amazing work :D

Galactica retheme might be awhile because of budget cuts I would love to see galactica rethemed to drones or another nemesis creature (fun fact we was ment to get a nemesis theme but we got galactica instead)

I’d love to go to the fireworks again - I went when I was really really young maybe like 5 or 6. In general I wish I could go to towers more but it’s like a 4 hour drive 💀🙏🏻

@DigitalDan I'm collecting the jigsaw magnets and guess what....can't get hold of Galactica. Couldn't find any in the gift shops and the page on the website gives a 404 not found! Not ordering any more stock in me thinks!
We visited in September and I took photos of Galactica because I genuinely thought it would be torn down soon with most of the harnesses being covered in duct tape! Hopefully the retheme cleans it up as it used to be so smooth.
I know the guy who designed the logo for the expo, he was the same guy who designed the new car/herse on display at Halloween.
If they retheme Galactica, they need to actually significantly change it, not just change the name and re paint a few things.
My idea:
You are a phalanx airship, tasked with capturing nemesis’s sister that has escaped its nest and is flying around earth. Everything would be repainted to black and white, and re themed towards a phalanx compound. There js a anamatronic of a bird- nemesis monster thing that roars at the train as it goes past through the plaza. And one at the block section before the station that is wrapped up in a fish net or cage and growls at the train as it goes into the station. There will be onboard audio, with a narrator that is ‘flying the airship’ and sfx of laser guns shooting and a soundtrack as you go around. At the end you are told you have successfully captured the nemesis beast and then as you exit the station and exit stairs are all re themed to a phalanx facility.

It would be a nice surprise if Galactica became A.I.R again, only with a bit of a touch up. They should keep the aqua blue track though. If not, just getting more hints on the new topspin is enough.

the music around the park they were playing for phalanx expo sounded a lot like the galactica soundtrack

Before they do anymore re themes wish they would just sort out their ride availability, countless amounts of times on our latest visit there were multiple rides down at the same time. We we would open the app and guess if the ride we wanted to go on next was open! We called it ride roulette!
What if... And hold on for a second... Intoxinator or what ever it is called is actually the new name n theme for Galactica!? 😅😂

I don't think they are going to remove it as that ride as much as it is an awful ride experience is capacity for the park without it queues around the park would be significantly higher

The problem with this is that the net result will just be Forbidden Valley circa 2005. We've really come a long way in 20 years. Meanwhile Rita still exists, X-Sector remains untouched, Hex remains broken...there's an awful lot of two steps forward two steps back at AT.
Hex is open, trouble with Rita that'd be a big project either fitting a new ride in the area left or a whole area change to fit a ride, also trying to get permission for a new ride. X-sector really just needs a touch up and a flat ride. Forbidden Valley has been around longer than all them areas so it seems if they fix this area up fully they don't really need to invest in Forbidden Valley again for a fair while just upkeep, instead of slowly building it up.
