Ahhh... memories. My sister and cousin had Vista back in the day... I remember all the talk on forums and IRC chats about how bad Windows Vista was. It was admittedly kinda cool!
I remember using Vista and having some good experience with it. Although it initially seemed like it wasn't the best Windows ever came up with, and my family switching back to Windows XP, I figured I would stick with Vista back then because I thought Microsoft would give future updates that would address the issues people had with Vista. And indeed, Vista got better over time. It was 2006/2007 or something back then, so I was about 8-9 years old, so... yeah... I may not exactly remember in great detail, but I remember it being a decent Windows OS. Of course, I switched to Windows 7 soon after when that was released, which also contributed to me not having many memories of Vista. And then I entered high school, which was around the time I switched to Ubuntu, which I absolutely loved, and it worked out great for me. But yeah, not everyone has the same experience as me when trying out Linux and didn't get the same great experience that I had, which is understandable. But yeah, those are just my thoughts.
Thanks, Chris! I did use Ubuntu a little bit during middle school and high school for a bit as well and I liked it! My next video is going to feature Linux Mint!
@TracerPixel128 Yeah, I stopped using Ubuntu when it started falling from grace, and Distro hopped for a little while until I tried Pop OS (which I use till this very day), which I had great experience with. But it's interesting to see someone else who at least tried Linux outside the Linux community. But I'm looking forward to your next video! 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
17:15 i forgot that this os never installs the drivers for you i remember having to install the driver EVERY single time i install the os right now i'm used to the drivers being installed already even if i upgrade gpu's
Alright who said this is bad? Windows vista imo is the best operating system ever I love their games and background pictures and best of all the taskbar I currently use the highest os so I can keep support forever
Windows Vista brought us Games For Windows Live, which was supposed to be a thing which was supposed to bring us together yet failed and was forgotten about sadly. It continued in Windows 7 yet died in the exact same era/time period before Windows 8 came out.
I must say I do enjoy these vids, you did your research that's for certain. And ran your own test.
Thanks, Denatsu!
It took me months to research for this video and to put everything together!

I agree, Miku!
I love its UI and the wallpapers too!
I think you can get a custom Aero theme for Windows 10 and 11?
@@linuxtuxvolds5917 IIRC, it was discontinued a year before Windows 10 came out?
@@TracerPixel128 Oh it was? Wow!
I use Vista on an old Pentium M laptop.
Hey, works great! Even developed mobile phone software on it.
That's pretty cool!
I love how Vista is still used today!
It is so underrated.
@@TracerPixel128 Too bad Qualcomm's BREW sdk still sucks lol.
But yeah, it's my goto for mid 2000's Windows software.
Nice! I remember BREW! That was Qualcomm's answer to J2ME I believe.
