I really like Area 18 and that pulsating and huge megacity atmosphere. But i am with you. It is much more easier to land on microtech as there is no hight limit that bumps you off... Thank you for stoppin by! Take Care
Hi there, There will be a very detailed background story to all of this. It is supposed to finish the single player campaign of Squadron 42 und afterwards you get released into the Persistent Universe with some Credits and a small ship to start with. If you are interested into details there are many sources. I would reccomend the SC Wiki: starcitizen.tools/Historical_timeline The Story is developed parallel to the game itself. So there is a constant stream of additions to that coming in. Hope i could shed some light and answer your question! Sincerely yours StoryOfTheGame
Is there such a thing ? I mean following the numbers it might be possible. But i don't know if there is something to be found. Yours sincerely StoryOfTheGame
This townscape of Area 18 is some seriously desolate shit, like the Quake and Unreal levels of the '90's, when processing power could only render one or two NPC's in a level. Compare that with the population density of Night City in Cyberpunk 2077, where the streets are full of NPC's. So why can't Star Citizen do that? Also, the NPC's in Star Citizen are regular zombies. Look at the generic white 30 somethings. Yes, you'll encounter the same characters when you walk around as if they are cloned. They stand at the counters of weapons stores or noodle bars. But they just stand there, and stare into the void. That's all they do. Again, compare that to what the NPC's in Night City do. At least there it looks like they actually do stuff. And another thing: in Star Citizen, the few NPC's are 99 percent white male, dressed like an office clerk. So incredibly boring and nerdy. Again, compare that to the sci-fi NPC characters in Night City. It makes the city come alive, and it is a much more exciting experience for the gamer. And what happened to Tecia "Twitch" Pacheco? Don't hear about that NPC anymore.
While i wouldnt call it that drastic there is definitly room for improvement. There is supposedly a minimap incoming that could make navigation throughout the major hubs a bit more easy. The thing with the masses of npcs is supposed to increase when they get ther technical foundation ready. I think they are doing tests for that right now. The NPCs at the time of the vid were super standard. And while they haven´t improved on routines and stuff like that i think they definitly have in form of variation. Since then a lot has happend on the character creation and possible combinations. But yeah, they still stand around not doing that much. Twitch Pacheco should still where she is. You could go there and attend a couple of missions from her. Sincerely Yours StoryOfTheGame
