Well done to IMSA for continuing to upload their races in a reasonable time for fans of the series to be able to watch the races. The Australian GT RUclips page could learn a thing or two from IMSA Official.....
Seeing Mazda win this race, especially with a 1-2 proves that anything is possible with dedication and commitment. IMSA, you let Mazda make history, and it was such a surreal experience to be there and witness it. From what I understand, Mazda hasn't won something this prestigious with a prototype car since the 90's, and I witnessed them win. They won with that little engine, and they proved you only need a little to go a long way. Thank you for this amazing coverage, and an amazing race. You guys have such amazing prodigies racing on these tracks, and watching them grow is what I love about this sport. Once again, thank you for letting this race occur, because history was made. ❤
I finished watching this over the last couple days. I really appreciate IMSA uploading these events in their entirety, on RUclips. Especially since NBC didn't end up broadcasting them, in my area. What a race that was!
It is great that you allow us to watch these races. I was away and missed the entire thing so I am really grateful for this . Many thanks. American Sports Car racing is my favourite class and has been since I first started to follow motor racing before even the days of the first Can-Am championship (1966) There is much change in the world and not all of it is good, despite what politicians tell us, but Sports Car racing from America is ALWAYS something to really look forward to, from Daytona onwards. I am REALLY looking forward to Lime Rock Park... the track I think of as "The World's Smallest Nurbugring!"
Thanks for the spoiler :-P I think it would be better to put the FCY times one or two more lines down, where they'll be hidden. I appreciate the start time (seriously, I do!), but I didn't want to know there would be a wreck immediately, in one of the first turns, before I started watching the race.
I have been pulling for Mazda for a long time. Congratulations on this one! I knew you could get there. And thinks to IMSA for putting this one up so quick. Caught me off guard. Happy 4th everyone!
They've always had my support for that soul crystal red color alone (which does not at all come through in video), and they have always had the necessary ingredients for these 1-2 finishes. Amazing drivers, amazing crew, and amazing engineering. They're finally where they deserve to be, in the thick of things and winning races. I'll be at Road Atlanta, and it's a bit of a longshot, but I'll be cheering for them to bring it all home!
I run two races with Richard Westbrook on iRacing last week here at the Glen. We run them in the iRacing IMSA series. We both run the Ford GT and finished P6 and P7(me) after starting P12 and P15(me) in the first race. It's always kinda cool to race with real world drivers and see how they run certain tracks etc.
Finally!! Thanks for the upload! I tuned in Sunday evening to watch this only to find cars that arn't IMSA going around a circle in Chicago because of a little rain delay.
I believe Jason Gardner was referring to the NASCAR race at Chicagoland Speedway that was delayed and bumped/pushed the WeatherTech Championship TV broadcast.
Watched it start to finish. What a fantastic race. And what an effort by Juan Montoya. He gave it his all. Everything he had. Pushed that acura to the brink. Still, when cars are 2 seconds quicker, there's no shame in coming in 3rd. Class effort. Big Montoya fan.
Watching right now, thanks so much IMSA Official, missed big parts if not most of it, I wont rant, at least now I cant watch uninterupted, happy 4th to you guys, cheers.
Thank you for posting for replay. It was a great race! Antonio was soo close....its fun to watch the different perspective from being at the track to seeing the all the race angles you provide here reliving all those moments....I love this race.... already looking forward to next year! Xoxo #michelinsuperfan
All WeatherTech Championship races will normally be posted the Thursday following the race broadcast on TV. However, given the holiday we wanted to make this available in advance. Thanks.

Vanthoor effectively took 4 cars out of the race or out of contention with that first lap move. The #4 Corvette, #33 Mercedes, #31 Cadillac (which got a puncture from the debris the next time round) and the#48 Lamborghini which like the Cadillac got a puncture. It was the first lap of a 6 hour race. No need on cold tyres to be pushing that hard through the esses on the very first lap of the race. And yet somehow there was no penalty to the 912.

Not sure what is going to happen to the GTLM class when Ford leaves.... BMW replacing the M8? That pretty much leaves Corvette and Porsche. Is the GTLM just going to dissolve, or will it be competitive again with more cars. I have to say the Blancpain series is bad ass, so unless they ... IMSA steps it up or changes the entire program to basically WEC. We need to see the likes of the Viper, Mclaren, Ferrari, as well as the staple of Corvette and Porsche... Did you see the Ford GT Ben Keating brought to Le Mans to race in GTE AM? That's what I want to see more of. Not the fuel thing, but more AM Ford GT's, in GTD class :D

Good on Mazda. The engine in my MK1 Focus is a MAZDA design. Runs great at 193K miles , almost no oil use.

Most fans stay in the infield, instead of the stands. But to answer your question: entry fees, sponsors/partners, TV deals and tickets.
