final boss used fire in neutral almost perfectly. he should try some more f tilt to 2 frame and side b in general
I actually think my fire breaths got me punished more than they got me damage, I think I rely on it a little too much in neutral, but I completely agree with your other observations.
fire breath is a good tool to cheat neutral, but later in the set it gets a little old and slow, fair and grab openings work vs kirby so theres room for mixup
@@GalaxiaKnight666 for the stages on ps2 I think so bc of platforms, on FD not as much hence why I said almost. mainly saying bc not a lot of bowsers use fire enough even though it can be a great neutral tool in some matchups like kirby
Seemed like Jejajeja picked up on that and started using his final cutter to punish, or jumping over it
Jeja uses final cutter really well for the most part, but I think he should combo into and use inhale more. Fire Breath gives Kirby a giant disjoint that can deal over 40% because of the 1.2* damage copy multiplier. Kirby also doesn’t give up his shield pressure that inhale gives him because Fire Breath is amazing vs shield.
it is alright to have flame breath, it is only for edgeguards cause of tough guy
@@kraknz1169 Tough guy doesn't affect flame breath at any point at any %. Flame breath does have a hitbox at the edge of the move that doesn't cause any flinching, but that isn't due to tough guy. That happens against any character. The move is still fantastic in neutral due to its effectiveness against shields and its giant range. If the Bowser is playing defensively and walling Kirby out, Flame Breath can be insanely heplful. Also, it is amazing for edgeguarding, just like you said. Even if Bowser's up-b beats it out, it will 2 frame and deal ~40%. It is also really good for ledgetrapping.
@@quantum6637 my bad, I was just thinking because it was a weak move (since it is a multihit) but as u said, the damage 4 each flame doesn't let bowser use tough guy.
@@kraknz1169 Well tough guy is based on knockback, not damage. Flame breath has enough knockback to beat tough guy. The 4% armor comes from his f-tilt. His smash attacks also have % based armor, but their threshold is different.

I feel like kirby mains don't utilize his copy ability enough. Depending on how you're fighting can make kirby really good
certainly but not here, since bowser can tough guy against fire breath, but it's a nice edgeguard tool when you dont have time to dair
Seeing Jejajeja play he saves the inhale for the ledge shenanigans regardless of the opponent
@@Koggers-th5fy Bowser cant tough guy fire breath. There is a windbox on the tip of the flame which has no knockback so it may look like he is tough guying it but it happens with every character
well thats something i didnt know? my judgement comes from trying to fire breath and getting ftilt'd for it in the middle of the attack, guess im gonna look more into it later. But Pac91 is right about being better having inhale available
it is honestly MU dependent, in this mu it is mainly for edgeguards which he has better options. But ngl top players do neglect it.

jeja had a lot of opportunities to suck bowser for his flamethrower in game 1. kirby needs that projectile pressure vs bowser really badly.
He goes for off stage inhale cheese so probably doesn’t want a hat for that reason

I’m not gonna lie both players seemed like they played awfully in comparison to what they’ve done before...
Bowser was so easily read in almost any situation and kirby didn’t actually get as aggressive as they should’ve till the third game
vs a heavy weight&hitter in wifi you gotta test the waters first, so you dont get bopped at 50% while they're at 160%

I imagine it's just a commentator's habit. It's better not to assume in general, so even if he knows Jeja and FinalBoss, be's probably used to not knowing since he commentates a lot of matches where he doesn't know. It's also probably not worth wasting the brainpower on to try to remember if he does know for particular people, so just falls back on neutral language to keep up the commentary.
