    Hey Afrikan Travel, footage excellent, very informative. Make sure you get some shito to carry to Kenya. Shito can last for weeks and even months without going bad, and you do not have to refrigerate. Ask about gari too. These two (shito and gari) is common for students in boarding schools. Reason, you do not need to cook, just add cold water and ready to have your meal. I am a Kenyan based in Caribbean, and I realise Ghana and Caribbean foods very close in relation.

Enter the communities in the morning, you'll find homies hurdled around tea joints warming their bellies for the day ahead. Ghanaians do do tea in the morning, although the wakyes and kenkeys do have their say too. To find tea in upscale areas, look for coffee shops along the streets and and at fuel stations.

    In my view, strange is not the right word. It has a negative connotation. Maybe you mean different. We need to celebrate our diversity as Africans. As a Kenyan, I think Ghana is one good example of the pursuit of African freedom and self determination. Someone below says they eat local food to support their economy and culture. In colonized and white supremacist countries like Kenya, local foods are looked down upon. If you go for an interview wearing African print clothing, you are likely not to get the job, because that is not considered official. Someone in the comment..I suspect it's a Kenyan .. is wondering about serving food in leaves. What they are not saying explicitly is that they consider that primitive or backward. I find the use of leaves as extremely creative and eco-friendly. We Kenyans have a whole lot to learn from other Africans on appreciating our cultures and using our own indigenous knowledge systems. Medase pa Ghanians for showing us the way.

    I must say Nappie was a great tour guide...
    I love how in the fishing village it is so nice and clean and the togetherness is beautiful, one hand wash the other...Ghanaians are hustlers trying to make a honest and daily living, in the west the only people you see all in the road are beggars they don't want to work just beg people for money they are call panhandlers in the west, but at least in Ghana they go out with their items to sell instead of just going out to beg so that is a beautiful thing in itself...Ghanaians also eat heavy food like in some Caribbean places like Jamaica, I remember when I visit Jamaica for the 1st time I wanted to taste their ackee and saltfish not knowing it was a breakfast food for them, I taught it was like lunch and when I got off the cruise ship looking for this ackee meal most the places was out, it was finish, but I was lucky some place in the bush hills still had some selling and it was so delicious, so I understand how you feel, because I prefer eating breakfast in the morning like tea, toast, cereal, but in some countries like Ghana, Jamaica, S Korea, their breakfast is like eating real heavy food like when people are eat lunch or dinner, what is surprising to me is to see people all on the toll roads selling their items in the west the cars are going so fast they will not make it on toll roads selling nothing...but then again the toll roads in Ghana is very slow pace so that is why they are able to sell...I love the large indoor market and I hate the outdoor indoor market in Accra, Accra should have invested in a market like Kumasi instead of having all these people outside selling with traffic and all the mess...I would have a headache just walking through that crowd...I remember going to Haiti one year and their market was a hot mess like this one in Accra everything just seems upside down, then they make it so much better the next time I I visit, they had set it up so nicely, with everyone having their own little booths on the inside, it was the same place but because they improve the shopping area, I felt so much better shopping...I just wish Africa had an African website like Africa Amazon where people all around the world can purchase items made on the Motherland, like the kente fabrics and many more things made in Africa...Africans are talented people and I want to see the whole Continent of Africa rise...in promoting their own things...Africa is such a beautiful gem and Africans need to take care of Mother Africa to the fullest...and keep promoting Africa to the world...also with the sunset it would be normal for many because hear in the west the sunset around 6p in the fall and winter time and around 8p in the spring and summer time...but also in places like Alaska the sun will stay up most of the days in like July and then in the winter it is mostly night so that was more of a major adjustment for me...being in Alaska.

      The Accra market ie Makola used to be indoor like Kumasi but was demolised in 1979 coup detat . The reason was the market traders were profiteering. Sad and warped idea by the coup plotters!

      @sweetiesuccess8435 3 года назад +1

      @@edmundboamah3184 Thanks, I hope one day they would get it together it's never to late because the Ghanaians people deserve a better setting to sell their goods...It is so sad indeed, being if it start to rain all the people stuff is going to get soaking wet, and they have to be outside in that hot sun selling just to make a living...Accra is the capital they need to do better than this...Mother Africa deserve nothing but the best...Africa is full of resources they need to you it to make their people comfortable in selling their good and letting shoppers be safe when shopping...instead of fighting with traffic.
