Yes I seen the crash crew in Paterson NJ at the Lincoln kulb in1980, with their sheep skins, coats, hats, bell lee jeans and the play boys on their feet But we had gun play that night. Shut down the jam
Always the shit...my time...my era...south bronx...now look at hip hop...its everywhere everywhere...even in kindergarten and sesame street...and to think society tried to ban it...
Fantasy 3 did this song first but it was very plain. the Crash Crew did the song and spiced it up a lot. they added a nice Flow to it. they polish the song up. they rewrapped it, regift it, and put a nice bow on top of it. it was a gift to Hip Hop. thanks! I love it.
The difference between 1983 and 1984 is evident in Hip-Hop; even the sparseness of Fantasy's version makes it ideal for sampling. Crash Crew had a full bass player there slappin' that thang.
Only 24 comments? only 300 likes? Where the true school at? Those 10 thumbs down ? Dont skip class come on to School it may be old but trust its true!!!!
The only problem with back in the day it was not necessarily the artist or Rapper who did the biting..unless they stole the rhymes ...the music was taken by the record companies Sugar Hill with known for taking other song and putting rappers on them
They didn’t bite that was common practice back then I love the fantasy 3 but none of them rhymed the furious 5 but the pieces of the dream beat but pieces of the dream knew they had the better version
