Hohner Pianet M

  • The amp in the Pianet M is interesting as it's very similar to Ernst Zacharias' stereo speakers on top of the Clavinet L in his apartment when I was lucky enough to visit him in 2012. Check out the schematic clavinet.com/s.... Hohner used a TDA1022 delay line ic, which is now quite a rare item.
I've made an output adaptor for the DIN out on the back of the amp to a stereo jack socket so here running stereo into 2 powered monitors, no effects apart from the M amp modulator.
I had to boost the talking as it was a bit quiet, so apologies for the sound here!

I had a Clavinet Pianet back in the day. It worked flawlessly regardless whether it was is a freezing cold rehearsal room or on a hot stage. Amazing technology!

Thanks, I'll try my best! I have lots of interesting keyboards to work through, just need to get the time to make some more videos.

Sounds lovely, going to drop you an email soon about getting the Clav looked at soon. Fed up fixing the house up, need to spend some money on the important things again, lol

Great sound. Now if only these things had a sustain pedal and external input- it could easily be a decent substitute for a Rhodes

Has anybody ever made a replica of this amp? I would love to add that to my Pianet T.

I'd look for stereo pedals that use the TDA1022 or something similar.

@@PreparedRhodes Good idea, I'll check on the web for vintage pedals that used that chip. However some of the modern ones can certainly emulate that sound, but without the original, it might be difficult to find the correct effect.

Love that you don’t play in key of C. Black keys just sound better.
